A list of puns related to "The Durutti Column"
I've been a fan of The Durutti Column for 20 years now, but gave up long ago trying to find a similar type of music. Only recently did I stumble upon PM's Bright Size Life and heard something similar in the sound. I'm not familiar with the genre at all, however, and I was hoping someone might fast-track me with suggestions.
If there were any guitarists within whatever sphere PM was practicing under, perhaps within the same age range / generation, who had a similar sound, likely due to a little digital delay or whatever amps/effects came around in the 70s-early 80s, please let me know!
I am very familiar with the "post-punk" side of the equation and would like any ideas from the jazz side. Thank you.

Iβm afraid to make this post with the slight chance it goes front page and bungie sees this and fucks everything up.
Whoβs idea was it to have an entire column of mods dedicated to glimmer + material farming when we have a large fallen lounging on the shore waiting to trade with us? Even if we didnβt have Spider weβd be missing out on the other useful mods in the artifact and resetting would become too expensive.
And while Iβm at it, the 82,000 glimmer in the season pass is pretty dumb.
The entire article is available to read for free in its entirety on The Athletic, who have lifted their paywall regarding any and all coronavirus coverage.
Excerpt 1:
>Weβre in the midst of a global pandemic. This particular coronavirus causes a disease called COVID-19, which is at least 10 times more deadly than the regular flu, according to testimony given by the director of the National Institute for Allergy and Infectious Diseases before Congress on Tuesday. Itβs extremely contagious, and our best medical minds around the world have absolutely no idea how many people have the disease. We have about two weeks to get on top of this thing, or weβre going to be dangerously close to having to go through what Italy is going through now. You remember Italy; itβs the country whose entire population is on lockdown. Whose businesses β all of them, other than pharmacies and supermarkets β are about to be shut down so people donβt congregate and make each other sicker. Three weeks ago, Italy had fewer cases of the coronavirus than we did.
>So there was no decision for the NBA to make Wednesday. It had to put its season on hold β now. Immediately.
Excerpt 2:
>This isnβt a game. Americans donβt have superior genes. Germs donβt recognize borders. We have to do everything possible to keep the disease from growing exponentially and overwhelming our existing hospital systems around the country. If the virus spreads, it will swamp the available hospital beds, ventilators and other medical devices β which means someone you love who suddenly falls ill, and maybe not from the coronavirus, will have that much more difficulty getting immediate care and treatment.
>Every time you have a large group of people together, it increases the chance of the virus spreading, and almost always, unwittingly: The people who have it often donβt know they have it, nor do the people who contract it from them. You have to eliminate everything that can help spread it, until we can find out with certainty exactly who has it, as well as develop enough tests to make a real dent in the population β and then we can work on potential vaccines and cures. But we have to stop the spread first.
>Giving the NBA a timeout helps to do that, just as canceling parades, concerts and conventions do too. Stop it. Stop all of it. Now.
