A list of puns related to "Teredo"
I know folks might still see a Teredo IPv6 tunnel on their Windows machines. Found an older Win10 post talking about some games making use of it; a newer post as well. I already knew that XBox gaming services made use of it; especially with Microsoft largely going to IPv6-only internally. netsh interface teredo show state will probably show that folks are connecting to win1910.ipv6.microsoft.com ; and netsh interface teredo set state has an option to enable Windows Server as a Teredo endpoint/server to connect to.
Regarding why Teredo isn't used for regular IPv6 access in the absence of such, apps have to be specifically programmed / enabled to use it; "Remote Assistance" and the Xbox apps being two of those apps. I also have to wonder if this is also a safeguard to keep Microsoft from having to route 20-30% of the Internet on their OS clients; but I guess if you ran your own server on some v6-enabled site, and pointed your clients to it, you could probably find something to route more traffic over it. I suppose if you want more options with this (because it's late-2021, and too many ISPs still don't have dual-stack), Miredo for Linux/BSD is still around for server & client use.
Edit: I bought a new tplink ax21 router and that fixed the Xbox issue. Still having a problem with the blink but maybe thatβs just a local problem.
Router is Netgear Nighthawk R6400v2
So Iβve had spectrum about 2 months ago but recently went back to them.
I decided that I would like to reset my whole router (back to factory) while I installed the modem.
For some reason the internet seems to work, but it would block or unable to establish connections with big sites like YouTube, etc. they all seemed to fix themselves but sometimes there will be a site I canβt connect to but it will immediately fix itself and work.
Iβm having problems right now where I believe I canβt properly connect to Xbox services (via pc, using Ethernet). I decided to downgrade my routers firmware as I heard of it being a possible issues. Didnβt work.
I set my dns to cloudfare and google. Didnβt work.
I let windows attempt to fix the issue (via Xbox network settings) and sometimes it will say that the issue is fixed (it will set NAT type to open) but it will basically go back to βteredo is unable to qualify as soon as I start a game.
Games work sometimes but when they do, I canβt properly play with friends or I canβt hear voice chat sometime.
Also having issues connecting to blink (that used to work also).
Not sure whatβs causing this problem but I believe itβs probably the router (since it used to work 2 months ago, but then I reset it) or my ISP.
Any advice on how to fix this?

Boosting the signal on this one.
I tried every fucking thing on teredo and was blocked from Forza Online December forward. It sucked.
Split tunneling on latest update for nord has prevented me from getting online.

Teredo says it is unable to qualify. I've pressed fix it, restarted my PC, soft factory reset my pc, and this #@!* still is not working! Everything else works, but I cant call my friends on xbox or discord. Is there any fix? This whole thing has been giving me a headache, literally.
So neither Xbox Live nor my Switch work online anymore. My switch randomly went from Nat type C to type D, which is restricted. I've read a lot of conflicting stuff on this sub and on the internet about different potential fixes. Some recommend using a VPN and letting them do the port forwarding for you. Some people on this sub said they just set their second router to IPV6 pass through and it fixed it.
For those of you who have your Xbox's working online, how did you get it working with this service?
The Forza Horizon games require Teredo for multiplayer, but I don't want to use that. So I wondered if MSFS uses that protocol as well.
Thanks!
I have tried everything under the sun to try and fix this issue. I've done the stuff people suggested in this post: https://www.reddit.com/r/Windows10/comments/9lh28u/how_to_fix_teredo_is_unable_to_qualify_issue_in/
I have also contacted my service provider (they couldn't figure it out), and have tried contacting xbox and microsoft support with no luck. I have restarted my modem, restarted my pc, tried to foreword my ports to xbox services, and even performed a complete system reset. None of them worked. I am unable to use xbox services at all.
I just want to play some Halo Infinite, and I am completely unable. I have searched the entire internet for fixes to this issue with no luck at all.
Hey fellow gamers. Recently i haven't been able to connect to horizon online due to the same old teredo issue. Tried all the possible fixes available on the Xbox site's help section, which did not help at All.
Earlier, i was able to connect seamlessly. The network settings indicate a strict NAT type. Since i am sure that i didn't made any changes to networking settings to screw this up, i guess its my ISP's doing(Airtel Fiber).
I checked in this subreddit for any previous mention and fixes for this issue, and managed to find a post, where the comments suggested that having a static IP is essential to counter the issue, and if the ISP does not provides it, its better to change the ISP. In this case the OP was using Jio Fiber.
Changing ISP would be difficult to me as the only two providers where i live are jio and airtel.
if you have encountered this error before, please advise and guide your fellow Gamer.
Iβve tried literally everything. Iβve gone up and down the Microsoft support website no less than 30 times. Iβve disabled and re enabled Teredo countless times, changed it to enterprise client, used remlabs, IP Helper is on, the time on my PC is correct, and Iβve changed routers and changed ISPs, as well as opened posts and used UPNP and DMZ. and I can play every other multiplayer game I own including non Steam games.
Will Forza Horizon 5 use this dumpster fire of a tunneller or should I just save my money?
If you have a fix I havenβt listed Iβm all ears
Im not sure what else i can do. I've tried pretty much all of the command prompts, even the little Teredo server name change in Local group policy editor, ive got perfect internet able to play with really anyone other then anything to do with Teredo. ive got IPV6 enabled on my pc too so that's also not an issue. no firewalls are blocking access to xbox servers either. restarting IP helper does nothing, its also on automatic. i cant even install Microsoft Teredo manually because its just non existent. honestly any suggestions would be appreciated but anything to do with the command prompt WILL NOT FIX IT. just making myself clear.
Type : client
Server Name : win1910.ipv6.microsoft.com.

Error : client is in a managed network
I can't play the game if it's still using teredo.
I wont pre order it, if it still has that crap.
Had a lot of issues with FH4 back then , and wasted 60$
I've been have this headache issue in FH4 for about 6 months, it's that I always get this message "teredo unable to qualify" I've tried everything to fix it but still couldn't fix it and still can't connect to FH4 online, the weird thing that yesterday I downloaded FH5 from Microsoft store and I thought I will have the same issue but surprisingly I could play a couple of horizon open and elminator without any issues, will it be the case always so it doesn't bother having an issue in teredo like FH4 or what?
I'm wondering if I would have the teredo connection issue again when I buy FH5 on steam. I've already had it with FH4 but I bought this on the Microsoft store...
So IV been trying to play Halo infinite on my PC using my s21 ultra hotspot. I have fast 5g. The Xbox network says my teredo doesn't qualify and it's blocking it?? Anyone else have this issue and a solution.?
Hello, Scince I bought motorsport 7 for Windows a few month ago I am unable to join or play in any multiplayer game/lobby. I researched a bit about the problem on the internet. So, I found out that it must've something todo with the teredo filter. I turned it off but nothing happend. I checked the Xbox settings on my PC and it also tells me that teredo is not working.
Did any of you guys ever had this problem, and if so how did you solve it?
I have been trying to play Forza horizon 5 online for weeks now, but I cannot. I have researched and found my problem to be my PCβs lack of a Teredo Tunnelling adapter.
When I am in device manager, I cannot see my Teredo tunnelling adapter. Online, it says to go βviewβ -> βshow hidden devicesβ then βactionβ -> βadd legacy hardwareβ. From there, you choose βNetwork adaptersβ then βnextβ, and a list of options shows up where you can install the Teredo adapter, but the Teredo adapter is not there for me. I have tried going to the command prompt and have done the commands it says but that doesnβt work either. The Teredo Tunnelling adapter is just NOWHERE on my PC! Please help!
Hi, PC gamer here. Since one year I've been playing Microsoft Flight Simulator when all of sudden the game seized to work. I worked out that the culprit was my Teredo-connection getting blocked by the router, and after fixing this the game started to work again. But now all of a sudden any Xbox-live service seems to be blocked again. My PC/Xbox companion app occasionally shows me that Teredo could not qualify, but not all the time. I've ran through the entire official troubleshooting list by Microsoft multiple times. At this point, I'm getting really frustrated and this is my last resort. Maybe someone here can help me.
My teredo tunneling services seem to have stopped. Checked the Xbox network screen and NAT is open, teredo is qualified and no restrictions are found. However, Forza will not connect to a session while in game. Any recommendations are welcome. Already went into Powershell and re-enabled the teredo and IPhelper systems. Using Windows Defender so no external software is blocking through a firewall. Thanks!

Hi guys,
I've been getting pretty desperate in trying to fix my Teredo is unable to qualify problem, I have tried literally everything (so please don't ask me to go into Device Manager and press Uninstall, because for me it isn't even there, and I can't make it re-appear again) and still no dice. It started (I think) when I changed my network settings with third party applications to make my internet faster (eg. changing ports, ect). After realising this was probably the root of the problem, I reset all their settings to windows default, and deleted them. However after this didn't work I tried every method I could find on the internet, but I haven't been successful yet. I even reset my PC, and the problem still persists. I have tried using CMD to disable and re-enable, I have used Group Policy Editor, If anyone has used a niche way of uninstalling the Teredo through CMD, or fixed it some other way, please help.
Thanks
I'm on Windows 11 Pro and I've tried virtually every fix possible, but I can't enable Teredo drivers. I've tried using command prompt, tried using device manager but it doesn't show up in the network adapters or while trying to install. I've tried the Services window and the Local Group Policy Editor, but it doesn't work. Do I factory reset my pc? Are there any other solutions that someone could help me with?
So me and a friend have had the same problem where, no matter what we put as our port selection, the NAT type says unavailable. Iβve looked up fixes but cant seem to find anything that works. Any help is appreciated thanks!
after days of doing every cmd/powershell tutorial, installing win 7,8 and 10 network drivers, not having teredo show up in my device manager legacy installer, and messing with port forwarding in the router i said fuck it and set all of it to 'not configured' in gpedit.msc. now everything works fine. i can play multiplayer on forza horizon 5 with no problems. so if all else has failed you, i guess try this. good luck.
