A list of puns related to "Temporomandibular Joint Disorder"
I've read that it can be one of the causes of H. I understand that it's really close to the ear so it makes sense that having a problem in the joint may have influence on the ear.
Thanks π
I've been diagnosed of TMJD for about 10 years. My doctor thinks it has a lot to do with me having joint hypermobility (I've always been prone to dislocations). Lately I'd been doing very good when it came to opening my mouth, my jaw wasn't popping on the daily and I rarely was in pain, until today.
I went for a check up at the dentist (just a regular check up with no procedures), and he needed me to open my mouth wide (which was very difficult and painful). No fillings, needles or anything. I left the dentist's in pain but I thought it would be more manageable. A little later the pain started getting really bad, one of the sides of my jaw started getting swollen and I started getting a temperature (it's not concerningly high (38 ΒΊC), but still). I know it's not covid, I haven't been in contact with any humans in about 3 weeks and don't have any symptoms. The temperature came with the inflammation on my jaw joint and the pain after opening my mouth more than I can handle.
What should I do? Take painkillers and try not to pay much attention to it? Should I expect this situation to go on for days or is it likely to get better soon-ish?
I'm very worried that the pain will stay for a while or that I dislocated my jaw further. When it's been really bad I coulnd't eat and lost quite a bit of weight (I'm underweight already), was in intense pain all day and I had a lot of trouble speaking too. Before this I had been doing good for months or maybe a year.
Thinking about using medical cannabis products to treat TMJ.
I have experimented and experienced great relief from nocturnal teeth clenching by smoking a honey oil, Indica pen before bed.
I want to avoid inhaling/coughing and am thinking about purchasing edibles.
Anyone with experience treating nocturnal teeth clenching with cannabis? Any specific edible products you might recommend? Thoughts on my treatment plan would be appreciated.
I believe I've had it since April and just earlier today I started feeling sharp pain. All these months it's been nothing too bad. I can feel it pop from side to side but no pain unless I push on it or something like that. But today I started feeling a sharp pain. I did some research and it's supposed to go away in a few months but as I mentioned before, I've had it since April. Should I be worried or is this nothing to be worried about?
My Jaw clicks REALLY loudly when I chew. It causes me a little anxiety because I know other people can hear it, and I think it'd get annoying. Any other Redditors have this problem?
Temporomandibular joint disorder may be a reason of sleep deprivation. This is a chronic situation that has lots of symptoms like headache, back pain, jaw pain, stress, etc. Learn more: Natural cures for Temporomandibular joint disorder
I had an impact on my jaw a while back, and ever since I have had major discomfort doing tasks such as chewing. There is no pain, and it eventually goes away throughout the day. When I relax for a long period of time (jaw relaxed) it gets worse, my teeth somehow move forward and it becomes hard to bite. I can force my teeth down, which does cause slight pain, and after holding them there for a while the discomfort goes away. All the discomfort is coming from right bellow my ear.
Any thoughts reddit?
Hello Legends.
Can someone recommand me a good TMJ specialist?
My Jaw started to make noise 3 months ago I thought problem was temporary but it seems like it is not going away so I need to see a doctor. I'm in Brisbane southside (Sunnybank Hills).
Thank you so much!
EDIT : Thank you so much for all your responses!
But for real, if anyone has any helpful suggestions for pain relief, I'd love to hear them. This is the worst it's ever been And yes, I did originally hurt it by sucking dick and cock!
I can't open my mouth properly for almost 6 years, but still haven't got around to treat it. I have a slight overbite and began mewing in 2019 and still can't notice any difference on my face. Does the tmjd make mewing useless, or is it just because I'm doing it wrong? I have really bad posture most of the time when I'm on the PC and an exam showed my spine leans to one side a little more than the other.
Hi all,
My wife has been struggling with jaw pain for a while, she was diagnosed with TMD and some Sleep Apnea issues. HOWEVER the doctors we visited that btw gave two completely different reasons for the problem came across super commercial. One of them wanted to perform a propietary surgery designed by himself before even looking at an X Ray and the other one ordered a massive load of tests that are not covered by insurance and another exclusive breaking treatment that is again super expensive. Back home I have some friends that suffered with TMD and they did not have to do any of this.
I was wondering if you have some recommendations for dentists or maxilofacial that is specialized or good for TMD.
Thanks in advance.
