A list of puns related to "Telecommunications Device For The Deaf"
Yes
The explosion of speech-to-text (and vice versa) in general probably makes them feel like they are missing out on a big technological breakthrough. They can't use Siri, Google Assistant, Echo, Home, etc. very easily.
I am a recent single sided deaf (100% hearing loss in one ear and normal hearing in the other) person and I made some home made devices to help my gaming and music listening (I make the 2E1 stereo headphone for the SSD). I posted a thread on the single-sided deaf forum but I wanted to link it hear just in case it helps deaf gamers along with pictures.

I had a DYI on how to do a vibrating directional cue pillow for gaming uses (mainly) but I have found the pillow no longer is available (I since deleted that original thread). It was a lumbar support pillow for chairs that had holes in the foam which allowed a neat way to thread it with wires to attach to exciters that vibrate. I game up with an alternative 2E1 vibe belt design.
The point of this is to hear gaming with headphones but then feel the vibration indicate if sounds in game are coming from the left or right. I will not get into any discussions about this being cheating or not! Let me just say this helps my gaming immensely. I will post pictures of what the belt looks like and what the pillow looks like (It tried finding pillows none out there-even when they say they have them they don't).

... keep reading on reddit β‘Iβm basically wondering how OR IF, for instance, the Arbiter communicates with keeps around Sangheilios post-war, or how colonies in the Covenant communicate with each other, etc.
I donβt find a lot of info about specific devices. Are there cell phones? Holographic video feeds?
We know Hesduros was out of the loop about the war ending for over a year, so some colonies and keeps definitely arenβt fully modernized. We also know there was a Covenant battlenet between ships and bases, but what about civilians?
Curious what anyone knows about references to specific networks or devices.
My wife is hard of hearing / deaf. Google is starting to understand her deaf accent more but she has a hard time understanding what it says back to her unless she is using the home hub where she can see the screen.
Just wondering if anyone else is in our situation and what features are you able to utilize? Are there any external devices like a bed shaker or flashing lights that will connect to Google home for alarms or notifications?
Just a few questions.
Is there currently a device on the market that alerts you when someone calls your name or if an alarm or siren is going off near you? If so how often do you use it? Is it mobile?
What features would you look for in such a device?
Whats the most common challenge you face each and every day and is there something you wish was available on the market today that does not exist.
Thanks for reading any replies would be of great help.
I know even if they feel the vibrations the brain will not interpret as sound, but I guess the spoken language produces a certain vibration and it may be taught to deaf people as braille?
Is it possible? pardon my stupidity.
Check this out. it's very important notice.

The context is getting data from an area not covered or with low internet speed. Building cellular networks / Cabling is not an option. Can I use an array of long range wi-fi extenders to get the job done? Or is there a better and more cost effective way of doing things? This is a project I hope I can use to help the poorer places in my country.
