Either a superalloy or a technical ceramic. It would need to withstand high temperatures, corrosion and creep. Additionally, it will be under high centrifugal loading, hence it must withstand this; as well as the ability to fast-fracture - a catastrophic scenario where the blades become projectiles.
Its high strength would ideally have to be tied with a low density. This is to minimise centrifugal forces.
Additional points to consider may be Yield strength, Tensile strength and Fatigue strength. Some thermal propeties include melting points in the region of 900-1000C, low and thermal expansion.
or would it break any bones? or even turn him into red paste?
Manga Darkshine vs Captain Luthor aka John Henry Irons from the Superman and Lois show.
When both of their fists collided with each other, it seemed like like Darkshine and Fuhrer ugly were both evenly matched, It wasn't until when the acid got onto darkshine, was when he started losing. So who do you think takes this?
Superalloy Darkshine aka Blackluster from the One Punch Man manga
vs
The Snyderverse Justice League; Superman, Wonder Woman, the Flash, Cyborg, Aquaman and Batman. They all have their regular gear and weapons, Batman has his tank and Diana her armor too.
They fight to the death or incap. No BFR.
I've seen this discussed a lot but haven't seen anyone make a poll about it and was wondering what the outcome is in the subreddit's eyes.
Iβm not really used to narrative analysis, Iβm more of a power scaler, but Iβve read opm so many times, and stuff particularly regarding Darkshine and I feel heβs a pretty underrated character so I wanted to shine some light on what I think he represents from a narrative perspective
In many ways Darkshine is an allegory of Saitama in the way he and his power is portrayed(not to say he has Saitama level power but that his feats are drawn very βSaitama likeβ)
Darkshine is supposed to be a representation of the false heroism Garou is trying to destroy. There is a lot of wording used in both the manga and databook relating Darkshine to being at the βtopβ of the hero world in many aspects, always alluding him with the strongest or standing at the pinnacle, most importantly being one of the βpillarsβ of the hero world alongside Silver Fang. We also rarely see Darkshine actively fighting monsters on panel, and is at the hero association HQ as a guard or training at the HQ, associating him with the cushy upper life, or someone tied closely with the actual hero association more than the other heroes
This is why Darkshineβs βdefenseβ is such a critical part of his ability and character, he is literally an indestructible pillar holding up the hero world. Even Garou states as much, that if he can beat Darkshine, his offense will work on any other hero. It also adds to the Saitama narrative, as he never sustains any damage(until Garou) and makes everything come off as effortless or beneath him
His defense is also a personal shield for his own ego. As Darkshine discovers when he fights Garou, he is reminded of the fear he had long since forgot, no monster or opponent could ever make him feel this way until Garou, and deep down he only wanted the satisfaction of victory, entirely different from Saitama who in a dream setting(his subconscious) enjoyed a hard fight against the subterraneans. Darkshine, despite having a strong body, does not have the strong will associated with someone like Puri Puri Prisoner, a parallel to Darkshine. While Puri is associated with wea

R1: Both are in character.
R2: Both are bloodlusted. Armstrong takes of his glasses and goes into his fiery nanomachines phase with MG Excelsus debris and Darkshine is 100% confident on himself and giving it his 100%
Bonus: Could Raiden cut down Darkshine with the Murasama?
And this is just a question, are the nanomachines in Armstrong limited or was the murasama just cutting through them?
Basically considering all of Darkshine's feats and statements, what disaster level do you think would make the most sense for him to be at?
Both are extremely durable tanks so I was wondering who would be the favorite to win in the subreddit's eyes.
I made a video explaining (some of) the chemistry involved in Chapter 199. In my research, I found that Niobium and Chrome, two of the metals used for making the engine of New Perseus, require aluminum and hydrofluoric acid. As of chapter 211, we know that the aluminum are mined from bauxite in Australia (Aluminum city) and the hydrofluoric acid can come fluorite from Spain (Fluorite city). But both cities are out of reach until New Perseus is made. So, in my opinion, Inagaki-sensei made an oopsie. What do you think?
Update : brazil is decent at producing bauxite (4th place in the world, 35 million tonnes compared to Aussie's 110 million tones). Located in Minas Gerais (the same state araxa is in (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_countries_by_bauxite_production).
F can come from fluorapatite or fluorite. Brazil's at 11th place (64k ton), Spain 6th place (147k ton), China 1st (3M ton) (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fluorite_production_by_country). There might be some fluorapatite in Ferruginha, Minas Gerais (https://www.mindat.org/locentry-559628.html).
