A list of puns related to "Sturm Und Drang"
Hello there!
Today, I have a question for the Music Historians and the people from the Musicology area.
As fore-mentioned in the title, Iβm having doubts about this art style βStorm and Stressβ (in English).
Iβm aware it was a movement to repel the French culture from German and Austrian ones. And that my two favourite Haydn Symphonies (45 and 44), are from that style. Also, a teacher said that Don Giovanni (mainly the statue scene), is too Sturm und Drang.
But is that SuD a form of Pre-Romanticism? I heard both yes and no. Also, I even heard that this movement (whether Pre-romantic or not) was an attempt to finish with the βHappiness Dictatorshipβ from the Classical Era, when music βhad to beβ always joyful, light and shining, which disregarded that we humans are not a monolith of happiness. Sadness makes too part of our lives.
Excited to listen from you!
This is my attempt at composing a symphony in the Sturm und Drang style. My biggest influence, especially for the first movement, was Haydn's 80th symphony. This is also my first time writing for two natural horns in different keys, so I'd really appreciate some critique on that.
Die Epoche des Storm und Drangs beginnt ja ab 1765 also wenige Jahre nach den siebenjΓ€hrigen Krieg darum frag ich.
The Mets end the weekend in sole possession of first place.

Man, I fucking love this album, but it seems to get so much hate around this community? I don't get it?
I think each song has personality and is an awesome representation of a band who has perfected their sound over the years. Thoughts?
You all file into the Ballroom, finding that its lights are off, just like your rooms. As you enter, you see a solitary figure standing in the middle of the dance floor area where a beam of sunlight hits from shining through the window. The figure is clad in white and has brilliant red hair. They are facing away, but as the sound of the groupβs footsteps resonate through the Ballroom, turns around to face everyone revealing a familiar face, and the missing member of your group. Itβs Fiona. She reaches up and unclasps the choker around her neck, tossing it lightly over her shoulder. The sound of it hitting the floor behind her echoes throughout the Ballroom as she leans lightly on a short wooden staff in her hands, propped against the floor. She has a playful grin on her face as she extends her right hand in an exaggerated fashion, and snaps her fingers.
As the sound resonates through the hall, your bodies are wracked with a quick and sudden electric shock, bringing everyone to their knees except for Felicity and Kentaro, who appear to be unaffected. Felicity stands stock still with her arms around Kentaroβs shoulders, holding him safe and in place. Fionaβs grin widens, and she begins to speak in a loud and clear voice.
βAs promised! Allow me to properly introduce myself. I am Fiona Beaumont, the Master of this House, granddaughter of the late Viktor Beaumont, and heir to his fortune. Not that a one of you save for Tirion has probably heard my grandfatherβs name. Congratulations to those of you that figured out the ruse. You have already been rewarded, and are well on your way to earning my favor. To the one who was clever enough to name me with confidence, I shall extend the invitation to dine with me tonight. I trust you shall accept.
To those of you who are entirely surprised by this turn of events, I suggest you take this as a warning to keep your eyes open from this point forward. Ample hints were made available to all of you had you been thinking properly. Javier all but gave it away at the end of the day, after all. Yesterday was intended to be an appetizer for the main course, so I suggest you whet your appetites if you have yet not.
As I consider all of you my guests, I would ordinarily apologize for the treatment you received just now. However, it was vital as I wanted to make one thing perfectly clear to all of you, as yesterday Javier proved unwilling to activate the leashes you have all been granted. While you may be m

The interesting thing about Sturm is that its exotic perk works with all energy weapons, not only Drang. Getting an energy weapon kill gives a non-stacking buff that increases its damage by about 5% and getting a kill with Sturm fully reloads your energy weapon. There's no buff timer or anything and the only way you know something is working is a "luck in the chamber" sounding chime from your energy weapon reloading.
Get to 20 and finish main story
Go to Nessus and finish all of failsafe's quests (navy icon) You'll be given Drang upon completion.
Decrypt 5 legendary engrams and 1 exotic engram. Also kill 10 fallen on Nessus with Drang
Kill 10 "powerful" fallen (the ones with 3 health bars. Shanks count too) and get 10 multikills without reloading (3 kills before reloading) with Drang. I did this step by just camping the public event near failsafe on Nessus.
Do a mission that pops up near failsafe.
I'm sorry if this has been posted but a sweep of the front page and search didn't yield anything. I also feel like i'm missing a step but I've been playing a lot so....
EDIT: I also forgot that Drang (the side arm reloads Sturm on kill) So in theory you will never have to reload if you can keep killing. Pretty cool.
Kann mir jemand erklΓ€ren, was es bedeutet? Danke im Voraus βΊοΈ
The legendary purple engrams aren't a problem, but the exotic engram needed to complete it is quite a problem as far as i see it. I tried to look at some other guides etc. But it seems like all the previous methods are gone.
So is it still possible? (Perhaps by creating a second character and claiming a guaranteed exotic from the story on there?
Sooooo
I unlocked sturm in year one of destiny 2.
In my collections it says I don't have it, and I don't have it in my vault. I might've deleted it, I'm not sure. I'm gonna re do the quest, but is this a glitch? I dont recall deleting it ever, and I know I love the gun(mausers are cool)
has this happened to anyone else?
I also can't find my drang.
I just had this epiphany during a Harry Potter quiz night. Is this common knowledge?
(Sturm und Drang as in the name of the German literature movement from the 18th century)
Because the period of Sturm and Drang is very short and very centered around Germany but also brought forward a lot of German Classics and the development of the German language (as far as I know). So I'm curious whether it influenced other countries literature.
Hello Guardians,
last time i wrote here, i mentioned that Salzwerk means Saltfactory in german (which appeared in the first EDZ video). This time i have a more serious, Lore based reference. Even though i am a typical shot first, ask later, Hunter main and i am in a constant βdebateβ with my clans lore hungry Warlock buddy, i thought it would still be the right thing to share this information with you guys. (Maybe i am lucky and he doesnβt reads this because of the spoiler tag).
I believe the two weapons Sturm and Drang are based on a phase in german literature and art, with the same name. During Sturm und Drang (literally Storm and Urge or Storm and Stress) Dramas with strongly expressed emotions where the main focus.
I unfortunately couldnβt find a story of that time with the names Victor or Sigrun in it (both names come from the word victory, with Victor being latin and Sigrun being german). Also i couldnβt find something which had a similar scene like described in the Lore tab for Sturm. You could argue though that the small story in the Lore would be fitting into the Sturm und Drang phase. But i maybe found something else.
One five act play written by Friedrich Schiller in 1784, is called Kabale und Liebe (literally Cabal and Love, but often translated to Intrigue and Love). After here spoiler warning for that over 200 years old story.
I leave out a lot of details and characters but mostly the story is about Ferdinand who comes from a noble family and Luise who comes from the normal middle class family. Ferdinands father is against their love. He puts Luises parents into jail and only lets them free if Luise writes a fake love letter. Ferdinand finds this letter and later poisons Luise. In her dying breath she tells him that the letter was fake. After that Ferdinand commits suicide.
During one of the scenes (Act 4, Scene 3) Ferdinand takes two pistoles and threatens the person the fake love letter was addressed to with it.
I doubt that the story has a direct connection to the 2 Destiny pistols Sturm and Drang Lore but it is one of the most famous stories out of that same named period and the cabal name made me curious. Maybe someone decided to make the 2 guns to pistoles because of this story. I can only speculate. Maybe someone else with deeper knowledge of this topic has some additional ideas?
Edit: Okay i didn't know the reference was that well kno

How unique was this experiment to them or was it replicated by other musicians? (as it was in literature and art with the Sturm und Drang movement generally)
