A list of puns related to "Stored Value Card"
Weβre spending Christmas here in Vancouver and I bought Compass cards thinking Iβd be able to set up auto load with my one and only Canadian MasterCard. It didnβt work. I also tried just adding a load using the same credit card.
The Compass website says it was declined and their CS rep said itβs a billing address issue. The address I have with Compass and my CC are both the same Canadian address.
I called my CC and they said nothing was declined. I donβt know how to fix this when Compass says itβs the CCβs fault and CC company says they didnβt decline anything.
Itβs very frustrating.
Anyway, so weβll just have to reload the cards manually. I know we can for sure do it when weβre at any SkyTrain station because they have CVMs. But, what about the West end (almost near Stanley Park) where there are only Compass retailers (e.g., Safeway)?
Can stored value be bought from Compass retailers?
If not, I suppose we just have to get on the bus first to go to the nearest SkyTrain station and reload our cards. Which, I suppose is better, because the purchased load is immediately available while online purchased loads may not be available until after 2 h.
I have 5 metro cards that I attempted to consolidate, but did not touch them at a station so it appears I now have inactive cards but with a stored value. Is there a way to turn them active again or move the stored value to a new, active card? Should I just go to a station and get it figured out?
Iβll meet you at any red line or EXPO line Metro Train Station to prove the value at the kiosk. Open to any reasonable offers. I no longer commute by Metro as often as I was. I canβt use it up, so if youβre a frequent rider Iβd love to make you a great deal! The card is registered so the value canβt be lost and Iβll transfer you that information upon sale. Cash only. PM me and weβll text/talk on the phone.
There is roughly $170 on this account. Iβll meet you at any EXPO, Purple, or Red line stop to prove the value. Then Iβll transfer the online login to you so you have a way to add value and insure the card. We could probably figure out a way to do this remotely as well. I got this through my employer and will not be able to use all the funds. Open to reasonable offers, PM me. Thanks!
If I buy an iTunes card for $25, it is worth $25. But, Apple has to manufacture the card, program a code to put on the back; the merchant has to devote shelf space to the cards, and pay someone to scan it and take my money. How does this arrangement benefit Apple or the merchant?
Edit to add: I can see the benefits in stored value cards for unbanked people who pay cash for everything, but need ways to pay cashless sometimes. I just don't see how the merchants come out ahead.
I'm in the United Kingdom if that's relevant.
I know that one advantage is not carrying loads of cash around and you can only spend what's on it, but what are the advantages/disadvantages in general and when do they make most sense?
I would appreciate any explanations.
I'm sure this is common, but I just moved here and this is only my second time adding value. I added online and it's been over three days (i've used my pass since then), but I still don't see my purchased value added. How long is it supposed to take? The website says 24-48 hours...I think in the future i'll find a vendor to do it in person because this is really annoying. I'm realizing their online site is a POS. Does contacting them speed up the process at all?
After digging through the Transit Tariff, Compass Tickets Terms of Use and their own askcompass.ca site, I've come to this conclusion:
With those 3 conditions above, you can theoretically avoid the $5 YVR AddFare by purchasing your return ticket at a Compass Vending Machine if you're using Stored Value on your Compass Card. Of course, only do this if you plan on going to YVR and returning to the city within the same day. This would be useful for the outlet shoppers and greeting friends and family at the airport.
Purchasing tickets from a Compass Vending Machine is considered to be a cash fare, so be prepared to pay the full sticker price for transit. However paying an extra $0.65 to $1.30 still beats having to pay that extra $5 YVR AddFare when you're leaving Sea Island.
Hi there, I am having some issues with my Power Automate flow.
Within SQL I created a stored procedure and some of the values for example Pk_Settlements can be empty in my Stored Procedure (if empty, then SQL DB creates a new one).
But when I fill in my form in Power Apps, sometimes it gives me an error: StoredProc.Run failed: The method 'Run' has an invalid value for parameter 'Execute.....etc'

Does someone know a good solution for this? I tried putting default values like 0 and " " in it, the 0 solution works, but I prefer not to since it can confuse most of the end-users.
Hoping on some advice/help! Thanks in advance :)
I can't find any information on if MTS is working on this it all. All the news articles and websites just specify sometime in the "future". Not being able to just load money on the card is incredibly annoying for irregular users of transit.
Hello guys! When i press the variable button on my cg20 and execute, it gives me a non zero value. Currently, the variable x equals 6, but in the past it has been 0.709 something. I cant figure out why this happens, and what i did to cause it to change. When i use a cg20 emulator, x equals 0. Is there a way to change this behavior, and if so, how? I'm not particularly calculator savvy, sorry if this question seems obvious. Thanks
I have a 1 zone pass loaded on my compass card but am travelling to Richmond. Will it only charge me the upgrade fee ($0.95)?
Quick question for LA Metro users. If I add a stored value onto my TAP card (let's say $100), is there a way to use that stored value to activate a one-DAY pass (instead of a one-WAY pass)? I guess I have a follow-up question, which is: does the stored value ever expire?
A lot of times I'll see $100 gift cards get bid up to $105. Is it just a classic case of people being stupid?
I have been working on a small project that uses MQTT discovery to define a collection of sensors and then publishes the sensor values at a regular interval.
I have noticed that sensor values are only stored in influxdb when their value is different to the previously published value. Is there any way to force values to be stored in influx regardless of whether they change?
Does anyone know of a good stored value card I can pair with my BTC wallet?
This is the best tl;dr I could make, original reduced by 7%. (I'm a bot)
> SINGAPORE: There's been an erroneous text message going around, prompting national servicemen to apply for the commemorative NS50 PAssion Card, but the card provider clarified on Friday that it did not send the SMS. The message claimed that the card comes with a S$50 stored value, and NSmen were asked to SMS their identity card number in order to receive their card.
> "We would like to clarify that the commemorative NS50 PAssion Card does not contain any stored value," said the card provider in a Facebook post.
> The number is a legitimate one run by the People's Association to register for the card, it told Channel NewsAsia.
> It added that NSmen should wait for their packages - which would arrive by mail - for details on the application process for the commemorative card.
> The commemorative NS50 PAssion Card is offered to all national servicemen, as part of a package announced in April to mark 50 years of national service in Singapore.
> According to PAssion Card's website, instructions on how to register for the commemorative card - which provides perks such as discounts on courses and merchandise - will be included in an invitation letter to be sent to all eligible NSmen.

I was recently doing some cleaning and organizing and came across two Metro stored value cards.
I have not worked downtown or had to ride the bus for quite some time. Are these cards still valid?
Is there a way to check these online to determine how much value is left on them? The backs of the cards track from $25-$0 and neither have any markings so unless these card types are no longer in use they should have some retained value.
Any information is appreciated.
Thanks.
