What if the Challenger AND Columbia Space Shuttle Disasters never happened?

I’ve been studying the Space Shuttle Program a lot recently, and from my understanding, many things changed after Challenger, in terms of the trajectory of the US/World’s focus on space. And Columbia became the final blow.

Imagine neither of them happened. Shuttle missions continued as planned before Challenger (military and private payloads being involved in the program, for one thing).

What do you think would be different today? More space activity? Moon mission? Mars mission?

How severely was the course of history affected by some fault O-rings (and/or senseless bureaucratic incompetence)?
