Depletion region (space charge region) width calculation

Calculation of depletion region width requires the knowledge of permittivity of the material, and I recently learned that the dielectric constant (or relative permittivity) is not a constant, but is a strong function of wavelength consisting of the real part and the imaginary part (related to loss). If that is the case, when calculating the depletion region of a diode (solar cell), which value of dielectric constant should I use? Static, high frequency, real part, or imaginary part?

You’re in charge of choosing 2 characters from each region to join the Traveller on their adventure for an animated series! Who do you pick and why?

Basically the title! I was thinking about which characters would be the best fit to be a part of an ensemble cast of Genshin was in a different storytelling medium and wondered what other people would think.

For me, it goes as follows. Keep in mind that in this hypothetical situation, we’re ignoring that most of these people have lives and careers in-game that keep them otherwise occupied.

Mondstadt

  1. Amber - Her adventurous attitude as well as her being the 1st person to join you in-game makes Amber a really obvious choice imo. She also has a nice color palette for being a part of the ensemble too, so that’s nice.
  2. Mona - Having someone who fills the role of the β€œparty mage” as it were, Mona also feels like she’d contribute comedic antics to the narrative due to her perpetual poverty. In addition, she has connections with Alice which could result in interesting plot threads down the line.
  3. Honorable Mentions Venti and Kaeya - of all of the Archons, Venti seems like he’d be the most likely to join up given him being a bard and all. But I personally tried to avoid Archons for this, and the β€œOops I’m poor” gag is covered by Mona. Kaeya would give the party someone a bit more ruthless while still being playful, and could probably come up later plotwise due to his connections to Khaenri’ah, but given the visual action overlap that he’d have with the Traveller (both being 1-handed sword users) brings him down for me. Consider him an especially honorable mention.

Liyue

  1. Beidou - Fills the role of β€œstrong, loud one” without being a simpleton, Beidou doubles as a transporter to the party whenever they are at sea. I can easily see her taking on the role of β€œteam mom” as well. Overall an easy pick imo.
  2. Xinqiu - Gives us our bookish character, along with a chivalrous and earnest young man. He comes far enough from the start that him being a sword user isn’t as much of an issue.
  3. Honorable Mentions Xiangling, Qiqi, Chongyun - Xiangling could be team cook with a bonus Guoba but personality-wise she overlaps a bit with Amber. Qiqi would give us a cute shorty and team medic but she might be a bit one-note for a long-standing character. Chongyun has a cool (heh) aesthetic but his schtick as an exorcist doesn’t really come up much in Teyvat. So far at least.

Inazuma

  1. Ayaka - An elegant and devoted swordswoman who wishes to see the world beyond her home seems a good pick for a later character. She would also serve as a strong romantic intere

Regions of Minkowski Space-Time (Special Relativity)

I have problems in understanding the space-time diagram from Minkowski. I do, somehow, understand the point of having an absolute future above the present point p and of having an absolute past below the present point p. I guess thats the easy part to grasp. But there are points which are "spacelike seperated from p"; it may be to abstract for me. What does it mean to be spacelike seperated or to be light-like seperated (?). My main issues tend to be the overall understanding, idk, but it would be great if anyone would has got an answer in mind. Thanks in advance!

By 2019, around 28% of the agricultural area in the transition region between the Amazon and the Cerrado β€”which accounts for half of the national agricultural productionβ€” had been negatively impacted and now they are displaced from their optimum climate space, a.k.a, it so fucking dry now, then what's this hailstorm, then it's heatwaves right after. The long-term projection shows 51% of the region’s agriculture will move out of their optimum climate space by 2030 and 74% by 2060.

Agronomic adaptation strategies may relieve some of these impacts, but maintaining native vegetation is a critical part of the solution for stabilizing the regional climate. And guess what, That's not what Brazil is doing.

Hypothetical: GF is deciding to make an All-Regions game. You are in charge of figuring out scenarios to "reset" players for each region (ie after the Elite 4/Champion battle, players start from just a Starter when you gain access to a new region). What are your ideas?

In this Hypothetical, you get to start the game in any region. After you beat the Elite 4/Champion, you gain access to another region of your choice. How do you make it so the story still makes sense that you get the region's starter but you don't have access to your team from the region before until "a certain point?"

For instance: You start in Kalos, beat it, then choose Kanto as your next region. When you arrive Team Rocket steals your Pokemon. They also knock out the communication lines to the other regions PC boxes. Part of the scenario is you are after Team Rocket to get your Pokemon back and fix communications with the other regions. Which of course you do, towards the end of your journey in the region.

Another one. Your next region is Hoenn. In the move there the movers lost the boxes that had your Pokemon and Pokedex in it. They aren't sure where they sent it. You can't access the PC without your Pokedex credentials, so you have to start from scratch by getting a new starter and Pokedex from Birch. Part of your journey includes searching for your boxes. The boxes you find give you decorations for your secret base, and the last box you find has your Pokemon and Pokedex, giving you access to your other regions Pokemon.

Another: Your "not first" region is Alola. While sailing there a storm hit and knocked you out of the boat. You lost all your Pokemon you had with you. The storm also knocked out the inter-regional communications grid for the PC. Shipping Ports have been damaged and probably won't be fixed for about one adventures worth of time. Luckily the Island communications grid still functions. Kukui gives you a new starter to help you on your search for your old team.
