I was wondering if possible, what kind of watts or volts or something required to charge a standard v3 battery with a foldable solar panel, as well as what kind of port the charge is, since the panels often don't have an outlet plugin? I'm often far from an outlet in a rural area, and would be sick if i could just do a pit stop in a park somewhere and use a solar panel to charge my board.
As for an example, the interstellar probe Oumuamua passed by our solar system and we lost the opportunity to explore it. In fact, don't know even how it really looks and there are even some discussing it could be alien spacejunk or and active solar sail probe.
I believe we have the technology to build a fleet of probes that would allow us to enjoy opportunities like this!
I imagine small probes with enough propulsion to go interstellar, with some generic sensing capability and a camera. The probes would be ready to be launched at any time or even better, be parked in high orbit!
Would this idea be really feasible? What would the main difficulties for this be? Can someone point how much thrust would be needed for a 10kg probe to catch Oumuamua?
I have designed the parabolic surface using the parabola tool and place a copper tube at its focal point. Now in flowsimulation, I have set the solar radiation in general settings and inlet flow rate/outlet pressure as boundary conditions. I have also set the parabolic surface to be symmetrc in radiative surfaces. When I run it, the temperature of the liquid has barely changed, the problem is that, the sun rays are not being reflected by the parabolic surface or not being absorbed by the copper pipe. What am I missing?
