A list of puns related to "Skater Subculture"
Like one of the e-boy things is skateboarding and listening to Joji and shit then like, from my experience which is what I've seen from my city is like there's a lot of 80's fashion and punk fashion I see at skate parks or they just wear what's like popular, example, the just like daisy dukes t-shirt outfit you see people in. Idk if I'm just idiotically rambling at this point but it's such a strange contrast.

Did anyone here grow up in the 50s? Does anyone remember greasers?
I've always had a fascination with them. I think because my parents used to watch Happy Days reruns when I was very little in the late 90s/early 2000s. I also like rockabilly music and hot rods. They have a cool factor that's different than other subcultures.
I think for me it's a combination of them being working class/DIY types while having a fashion style that's a little bit classier/better put together compared to say a stereotypical punk rocker or metal head. (Usually clean dark blue slim fit jeans, plain t-shirts and leather jackets or flanne).
A little over 10 years ago, I saw the 1994 movie Roadracers for the first time and it always made me curious what the local underground rockabilly scenes were like in the 1950s.
However, unlike say Punk Rockers, Hippies, Metal Heads, Surfers, Skaters, Bikers, Cowboys, Methodists, Drug Dealers, etc.
There is very little info on greasers. They were kind of the first counter culture but I'm guessing they were less organized compared to other counter cultures and there really wasn't a "greaser movement" compared to say a hippie movement or a punk movement.
You can find tons of books on the 1960s hippie movement, the 1960s garage rock scenes, 1970s and 80s Punk movement, the 1980s thrash metal movement, 90s grunge, 90s hip-hop, 60s-80s drug culture, etc. But there isn't a single book on the history of greasers (the Outsiders aside but that's a novel).
The coolest detailed info you can find is info on the rockabilly revivalist from the 80s until now and the period correct Hot Rod scene/Rat Rod scene. But all of that stuff is modern
Even on Google 99% of pictures of greasers are either of Fonize, James Dean, Marlon Brando, John Travolta or staged rockabilly revivalists taking digital photos with a black and white setting.
Anyway, did anyone know any greasers back in the day? Was any body a greaser?
Do your worst!
It really does, I swear!
For context I'm a Refuse Driver (Garbage man) & today I was on food waste. After I'd tipped I was checking the wagon for any defects when I spotted a lone pea balanced on the lifts.

Pilot on me!!
Hey everyone! Just graduated from journalism school and working on some portfolio stuff. I finally have the freedom to write about the stuff I find interesting. I don't give a shit about politics, I'd rather write a dissertation about getting Mankind by Factory 81 on Spotify. I've been working on this for a few days. Let me know what you think!
Nu metal is backβ¦ Kinda! So many people are finally coming around to the polarizing genre, as enough time has passed to finally admit that it was actually pretty fucking awesome. Call it butt-rock, post-grunge, rap-rock, but any way you try to label it to lessen the emotional toll it has on you to admit out loud that you actually kind of like that one Limp Bizkit song wonβt take away the fact that nu metal never really died. It was just resting. With artists like $uicideboy$, Bones, Ghostemane, Tallah and Tetrarch on the rise, the lines between metal, rap and grunge havenβt been this blurred since the initial rise of nu metal. But I thought it would be interesting to take a step back from the music itself and take a look at the subculture. We know what nu metal sounded like. But what did nu metal look like?
Baggy Jeans/JNCOs
Perhaps thereβs nothing else in the world that screams β90sβ as much as baggy jeans do. In the late 1980s, rappers and break-dancers alike would wear baggy pants not only as an aesthetic tool, but as a way to facilitate their respective crafts. It was in the mid-to-late 1990s that other subcultures picked up on the niche, and skaters, punks and metalheads took a liking to making the jeans even baggierβ¦ and baggierβ¦ And eventually, JNCOs became one of the most iconic looks of the era, and in one of the 20th centuries biggest musical renaissances, nu metal. Me in ma Jncos.
Facial Piercings
Prior to the decade that birthed nu metal, body piercing never really took off in the West. Elayne Angel, a veteran body piercer, indicates the music video to Aerosmithβs βCryinβ,β in which a young woman is getting her belly button pierced, to be the beginning of commonplace body modification among American youths. Would it be no surprise to anyone that just under a year later, one of nu metalβs most well-known and influential acts would hit the scene with a lead singer that sported not one, not two, but three eyebrow rings? And so, with the rise

If it needs a NSFW tag it's not a dad joke. There should just be a NSFW puns subreddit for that.
Edit* I'm not replying any longer and turning off notifications but to all those that say "no one cares", there sure are a lot of you arguing about it. Maybe I'm wrong but you people don't need to be rude about it. If you really don't care, don't comment.
