A list of puns related to "Skateboard Truck"
I'm currently looking at Independent SILVER STAGE 11 SKATEBOARD TRUCKS for my Tactics SLIMEY 8.625 SKATEBOARD DECK that want to get for my first skateboard but I'm unsure of what size I should get. It would be greatly appreciated if anyone could tell me what size I should get and if I'm getting the right trucks for the board, as I'm a bit uncertain as this is my first skateboard.
I'm flying from Edinburgh to Hungary in 2 days, I have taken my skateboard trucks in checked in luggage before, which didn't give me any trouble, but haven't flown with them in my carry on luggage yet. Since I'm only leaving for little over a month, I'm only taking a backpack with me. I'm flying wizzair which does allow skateboards as carry on but it just wouldn't be worth the extra price for me, so it would be nice to just take the trucks and wheels, since I already have another deck at home. Has anyone had any experience with something like this? Did they give you any trouble at the security?
So i have a think truck and a thick one, should i have only thin/thick trucks?
I recently started to learn about vehicle design and read about Ackerman, and it got me thinking, how good are the trucks of skateboards for steering them around, in terms of wear and tear on the wheels and making "efficient" turns - for whatever definition of efficient you want to answer?
Do the wheels slip more/less than a standard automobile with front wheel only steering? Are there changes you'd make to skateboard steering systems to make them better? What can we learn from them to design better cars or quad cycles?
Edit: Do the answers change if we're talking about powered/electric skateboards? Do they need special considerations to spin outer wheels faster than inner wheels, or is the leaning/rotating axis sufficient enough to naturally make things work smoothly?
I'm just getting into surf skating but have been riding cruisers for a while.. I own a sector 9 fat cruiser deck but slapped my Original trucks on them which have a spring in each truck...seen here and I wanna know what the difference is. My trucks are extremely good for pumping and turning/carving but I'm wondering just how different they are from a surfskate board. Any help would be rad thanks in advance.
Ive been using the combo for awhile and I like the added stability, and once you get used to kicking farther away from the board you dont get as much wheel strike. Anyone else do this combo? or even to a greater extent, longboard trucks?
