A list of puns related to "Single European Act"
London, United Kingdom May 1971
Delegates from all across the continent gather. Men and women gather and discuss in many languages before the meeting begins.
Chancellor Kiesinger of Germany announced the beginning of the meeting and began to speak. He spoke of the need for further integration among members of the EEC and called to take the Treaty of Rome a step further.

After rigorous discussion, Chancellor Kiesinger announced the βSingle European Actβ declaring the objective of furthering cooperation and integration among European states.
The Chancellor also announced the creation of the Schengen Area:
An area among participating countries that abolished the need for visas or passports among these countries. A citizen of one nation can live in work in all others. This will further promote integration among European states
While we hope all states will choose to join the Schengen area, we recognize there may be reasons for countries to not join, so opting out is an option.
This marks an extraordinary day in the history of Europe.
On the first point, this has been beaten to death. The number of people who refuse to believe that individual accountability is a reasonable expectation is concerning. We have grown, functioning, seemingly rational adults reverting to a child-like persona - and looking to the government (parents) for safety and security. Not once in the history of humanity (save for some choice war-measures) has a government ever created blanket policy to protect the needs of an individual.
Government administrations are passive entities which provide generalized supports so society can function - they do not, and have never (perhaps with the exception of some authoritarian regimes) existed to best serve the individual. The safety, security, and prosperity of the individual has always been in the individual's hands for better or worse.
Next, Covid-19 is a virus. In insurance, it would be classified as an "act of God", putting it in category with forest fires, tornadoes, and tsunamis. A virus is an uncontrollable, unpreventable event which we can only take passive mitigation measures as individuals to ensure that if we contract it - we will more than likely emerge unharmed.
We cannot petition an administration to prevent an act of nature.
But an overwhelmingly large subset of the population refuse to accept that we are not in complete control of the world around us. It is baffling.
The only way for us to have a sanity check at this point is that people can accept what they can control (themselves, not their neighbors), what they can't (the virus), and have the wisdom to know the difference.
Good luck.

> A player to watch from every single nation qualified for the EHF European Championship 2022 in Hungary and Slovakia.
> Not necessarily the best player, but a player who, for some reason, is exciting. Starting with Group A, the Group B and so on.
> : BlaΕΎ Janc, 1996, RW/RB (FC Barcelona)
> I want to see everything from this modern wing player - defensively as wing, back and in front in a 5-1 defense. Offensively both on the wing and back. Janc has soooo many qualities, which I hope Slovenia is going to exploit!
> : Rasmus Lauge, 1991, LB/PM (Telekom VeszprΓ©m)
> The strong back court player, who had been hit by several injuries since his amazing WC in 2019, is finally back for real. He gives Denmark a new dimension both defensively, in transitions and offensively. A huge reinforcement.
> : Filip Taleski, 1996, LB (RK Vardar 1961)
> For some years the fanatic Macedonian fans have waited for players like Taleski and Kuzmanovski to be the new stats of Macedonian handball. Taleski has finally found his form in Vardar, which bodes well for this Championship.
> : NebojΕ‘a SimiΔ, 1993, GK (MT Melsungen)
>The charismatic goalkeeper is always fun to follow. He needs to peak if Montenegro are to have a chance.
> : Angel Hernandez, 1995, RB (Kuwait SC)
> One of several Cuban-born players who have chosen to play for Portugal. A very nice reinforcement for them. Amazing physically.
> Even more important now with the absences of Diogo Silva, Ferraz and Moreira on the right back position.
> : Bence Banhidi, 1995, LP (PICK Szeged)
> The best line player offensively in the world? He requires tremendous focus for the opponents defense and create so much space for the back court. If Hungary are to be successful at home, Banhidi needs to peak - like he did in Euro 2020.
> : Sigvaldi Gudjonsson, 1994, RW (Εomza Vive Kielce)
> The fact that he modern type of wing player is the only βrealβ right wing after the retirement of Arnor Gunnarsson, makes me keep an extra eye on my former teammate.
> : Luc Steins, 1995, PM (PSG)
> Steins is the Flying Dutcman of the Netherlands. Speedy Gonzales just goes on and on with his speed and creativity.
... keep reading on reddit β‘As someone from South Dakota, most of my family tree is full of people who traveled from Europe to South Dakota to take advantage of the Homestead Acts, such as those escaping the Great Famine in Ireland or just trying their luck by leaving the Netherlands to farm in South Dakota.
So I wonder, how did Europeans learn about the Homestead Acts and how did they view them? Was it considered crazy to take the trip across the Atlantic and then far into the unsettled "Wild West" of the USA just to get free land and start your own farm or was it considered a rare opportunity for people who were unlikely to inherit or buy land on their own? Why would people be willing to settle in a place with winters as harsh as South Dakota?
Did newspapers in Europe feature tales of people who started a new life in America, or would this have been told in rumors or in letters from family members who immigrated to the USA?
With my own family history, I'd be most interested in how it was treated in Ireland, England, or the Netherlands, but also given the demography of South Dakota, it'd be interesting to hear how it was thought about in Western and Northern Europe in general.
Maybe I just hang around very boastful people but I feel like a lot of my single friends talk about their sex lives like they animals in heat.
But as a married person, I have a partner who I basically have access to whenever I or they get the urge (obviously sometimes they may not be in the mood or busy). And on top of that, its no fuss, I don't have to convince this person that I'm desirable or that it is a good idea to sleep with me, I could probably look at my husband and just say "Wanna screw?" and it would be as simple as that.
Where my single friends have to go through the whole process of going to a bar or using tinder. Probably getting more rejections than hell yeahs.

Iβve started doing a bit of research - my teammates are going to London and Berlin but I prefer hot weather.
Social life is important to me.
Pros and cons to suggestions are appreciated!
Thanks in advance!
The history of Westeros is full of rich tales of heroism and gallantry. In your opinion, which was the most important or achieved the greatest good?
Some 4 months ago, I had a conversation with my godfather. I told him I had been collecting physical media. He responded, "Well, you know, collecting physical media used to be popular 1 or 2 decades ago, when people didn't have access to the Internet, and buying DVD or VHS was the only way to go. But nowadays, everything is on the Internet. Why bother with physical media if it's all on the Internet?".
I find this attitude a little bit stupid. Here are some of the movies I have in my physical media collection. Please take into account I live in Poland and not the US, so my experience may be totally different from yours:
