A list of puns related to "Shadow Of The Vampire"
Three Vampires descend upon the British Isles, the entire isle is a vast medieval city populated by humans living out their daily lives, until;
Alucard (Hellsing) pre-Schrodinger arrives, carrying Casull and able to remove his own restrictions as needed.
Dracula (Lords of Shadow) arrives at his prime and carrying the Void sword.
Kain (Legacy of Kain) arrives, post Defiance and wielding the Soul Reaver.
They start off as far away from each-other as possible and may not/will not choose to leave the island. Their goal is to subjugate or devour all those on the Isle and be the last Vampire standing. Incapacitation of an opponent counts for victory over that foe if they are unable to fight/return to strength.
The Vampires know there are two other vampires here to dispute their claim on the island, but know nothing more about their opponents beyond what they can gather through this battle.
All vampires are in character and will fight to the best of their ability.
Everyone knows about Nosferatu, the first unofficial film adaption of Bram Stoker's novel Dracula which is considered to be a landmark in horror cinema. Count Orlok's ultra ghoulish appearance has been etched into our brains forever, but there is just one slight problem with it: that's not makeup.
Willem Dafoe plays german director Max Schreck, a man so obsessed with realism and authenticity that he hires an actual vampire, played by John Malkovich, to play the Count. This proves to be a fatal mistake, as Schreck can barely control the erratic vampire and prevent him from snacking on the cast and crew.
What's awesome about this movie is how much detail went into recreating scenes from the original film. If you compare them side by side, you can barely tell them apart. There's a great deal of emphasis in show us how a silent movie set operates, and it is all very interesting. My favorite scene of the whole movie is when the vampire F. W. Murnau is asked what he thinks about the book Dracula. He states it makes no sense that Dracula could remember how to set a table for when Jonathan arrives because he had no need to after hundreds of years.
I thought this movie was solid, and I'm surprised it's not as talked about when it comes to vampire movies. It's a great watch, do check it out.
Edit: Switched the character names around, thankyou u/mks2000
Edit: It appears that I not only fucked up the character's names, but the actors as well
"A new miasma of magic drifts across the islands and engulfs the kindred of the city. Soothsayers and Voodoo priests speak of a new dark empress ascending a throne of blood with a crushed rose in her outstretched hand. While all around the mortal government tightens its grip on civil society and the parties of tourists go on blithely in ignorance. Will the black sands of Port Louis be drenched is ensorcelled blood? As the last tarot card falls so to will your destiny.""
This Saturday, we return to the world of Vampire the Masquerade - to the island archipelago of Casa De Luna and Casa De Sol. Drama abounds in this engaging game, as a change of power in the city leaves the vampires of Samedi and Toreador disenfranchised and the hideous Nosferatu and maniacal Tremere in power.
This game is hosted on the 1st Saturday of the Month, currently at a large house in Overland Park. I will give you the address if you are interested in playing - email me at edward@apparitionbar.com and I can provide that information.
We have around 30-40 players and their are numerous opportunistic for roleplay, everything from the political maneuvering, to deep personal horror! We put a special emphasis on costuming and set design and the result is quite a bit of fun!
We use By Night Studios rules, which can be found here: https://www.bynightstudios.com/vampire-the-masquerade

#42 True Romance Obviously this movie is pretty famous as being a Tarantino script that he didnβt direct. Itβs very obviously got his style and feels like it belongs to that world of semi comedic gangster movies, like pulp fiction or reservoir dogs. Iβll keep this quick and just say I enjoyed it. I really liked how many characters there were that would pop in for a scene and then weβd never see them again. I feel like a lot of writers would be scared to have too many characters like that but this movie really goes for it. A lot of colorful stuff in this movie that youβll probably enjoy if you liked Pulp Fiction or reservoir Dogs. For me this is worse than Pulp fiction (most things are) and a little better than Reservoir Dogs. Probably an 8/10. Solid movie that I will watch again. Shout out to the late Tony Scott for directing this.
#43 Shadow of the Vampire This movie is about the making of the Nosfeatue, a German movie from 1920s, and some of the drama that went on behind scene with the actor who played Dracula (technically he didnβt play Dracula but a spoof on him but the movie goes into why thatβs the case). Thereβs really no reason to watch this movie. Itβs alright, a lot of slow scenes and it really feels like it shouldnβt have been made into a movie. I guess itβs a cool behind the scenes look into filmmaking in the silent era but other than that Iβd say you donβt get much out of watching this. Willem Dafoe give a solid performance which is pretty showy. Other than that this is a pretty boring movie. 6/10 for me.
#44 Eight Men Out This movie is about the time the Chicago white Soxβs fixed the World Series in 1919. Itβs a cool behind the scenes looks at the scandal but a lot of this movie is frustrating. For one the director decided to play very obnoxious 1920s music over a lot of the dramatic scene. It was infuriating. The music was easily my least favorite part of this movie. Honestly could have been a solid sports drama but instead it turned into a weird combination of roaring 20s music played over dramatic scenes. I highly encourage you to look up some scenes on YouTube so you can properly comprehend how awful it really was. Also the structure was just weird. We got a lot of scenes on the baseball field which felt repetitive. On top of that we got only 20 minutes in the court which is what I think the meat of this movie should have been. Idk, maybe Iβm wrong but whoever wrote this probably didnβt give it all he or she had. Iβd give th

Hello,
I've got my hands into the 5 volumes of the comics: shadows of the vampire. And I am in what I believe its the middle of the 5e campaign. So, I was wondering if I should wait to read it after the whole campaign ends, or itwill not make any spoiler fore the game.
Does anyone here read it? Does it have spoilers?
I'd say my favorite is the Lore of Fire. Damage spells, buff spells, vortex of flames. While many Lores can pack the hurt, I've never had as much success with them as I have with the Lore of Fire. I'm definitely looking forward to Slann with the Lore of Fire!
This is loosely based on a plot point in a UF story of mine and I wanted to see what others did with the basic concept.
I am looking for movies about real actors/directors like Ed Wood, Gods and Monsters (about the director of Frankenstein) and movies about movies being made (Singing in the rain, Shadow of the vampire).
I have seen a lot of them already. I will make a quick list below.
The Artist Singing in the Rain Shadow of the Vampire Ed Wood Gods and Monsters Hugo (was technically about Georges Méliès) Hearts of Darkness (kind of cheating...) The Girl Hitchcock
Nothing like Barton Fink or the actual process of making movies like swimming with sharks. I need it to be based on an actual person or film.
