A list of puns related to "Seal Wax"
Hi!
I got a lovely wax seal kit for Christmas and Iβd love to test it out! If youβre willing to take some most likely flawed wax seals from a complete novice just let me know down below! Iβll definitely be including other goodies too :)
Iβd estimate based on my collection that the lifetime of a cork is about 30 years. After that itβs basically wet through and an ion bridge that facilitates oxidation.
You can either send the bottle out to be topped up and re-corked (but really does that happen any more?), but could you instead wax seal it at home? The wax seal providing an airtight covering for long term storage?
Just looking for someone to send letters back and forth to. Maybe make a new wax seal friend! :)
Update:
Holy smokes guys!! Thank you so much for your replies!! I really appreciate you reaching out to be pen pals!!
I don't think I could take on anymore letter buddies or I'm gonna need to buy mountains of wax and envelopes. Lool Thank you again everyone for being so awesome!! βΊοΈβ₯οΈ
Hi! I sealed my wax pastel "neocolor ii" drawing with Daler Rowney's prefix colourless fixative with several layers(!!)
The painting still somewhat smudges and i get some paint on my finger if I 'poke it' (don't judge), although not as much as before... Is this to be expected? Or should I switch fixative? Unless it's too late..
It says that my fixative can be used to seal pastels, crayons and charcoal. I haven't found a fixative that's specifically for "wax pastels" yet. Any thoughts?
Utilized wax seals for the first time earlier this year and absolutely love them! I have sent out quite a few things with seals, including 50+ cards for Halloween, all with wax seals, utilizing Forever stamps. None of these cards were returned to me, and I know the seals arrived intact to recipients as I received a plethora of photos. I had previously just dropped these in a USPS blue box without issue.
I had some things I needed to physically take into the post office today. Their letter drop box was full, so I took my cards up to the counter. The postal worker immediately said that I would need to pay additional postage for every envelope. I was super confused, as I had previously dropped my other sealed letters at this post office without issue.
Upon googling afterwards, I realized she was trying to get me to do hand canceling. When you all mail things out, especially anything in bulk, do you just take your chances? Or do you pay the additional fee for hand canceling? As my cards weighed less than an ounce and were under a quarter inch thick, I took the risk of running them through regular mail again. Weβll see how it plays out!
Edit: to the best of my knowledge, all of my letters have arrived, seals intact!
I apologize for the cheesy title. I'll exchange cards with wax seals on the envelope. I'd strongly prefer exchanging with users I haven't done wax seal exchanges with in the past (this is my 3rd wax seal post), but I probably won't turn you away. Comment, then message me.
The mother was hiding her death and claimed she was a whore who ran away (the description said she had huge knockers) Her brother is autistic or smth and the mother takes advantage of this to turn him against his sisters, he would do anything to gain his mother's approval Main girl goes to the psych ward and cuts her hair. Doc in the psych ward had the same haircut Main girl finds out her mom was lying this whole time, they fight, mom rips the girls eyelid and gets arrested, the son visits her in prison Just a bunch of random details I could remember I read this book like 6 years ago and theres an incurable itch in my brain to find this book no matter what Please help
I've been toying with the ideal of using a small wax seal as my signature on art pieces. Curious if anyone else does that. I like the idea of placing the wax seal on the back of the piece, as well. Just wondering if it's feasible or too romanticized lool. Thoughts and suggestions from all welcome!
Hey friends!
I was looking through my stamps and I have a few non Machinable ones remaining. So I thought I would do what might be my final Wax Seal and Tarot Reading combo. A lovely person who is over at raoa and hwre at raoc bought me a Disney Villians Tarot deck.
How it works: you comment your favorite tarot face card. I will draw three cards and write their meanings in a card that I will send you. Since these are a special Disney pack, I will also tell you who is on what card. I will decorate the cards envelopes with a wax seal and probably some stickers.
I have a limited number of stamps left so this is US ONLY and First come first serve.
Edit: fun fact I forgot to share, Disney made pentacle into coins for this deck. Like Disney, if you are gonna allow tarot go big and add pentacle!
Edit edit out of stamps
