A list of puns related to "Waxy"
This includes those dryer sheets. Thatβs all I got, I ainβt no scientist
Edit: For those worried about clothes coming out static-y, the culprit might be that youβre putting your clothes in the dryer for too long or too high of heat. Try less heat or less time:)
Editedit: Donβt use fabric softener.
First up: pictures at six months

TL;DR - Great boots, you should buy them if you're in the market for sub-300 dollar, made in the USA boots. You shouldn't buy them if you like to bike in your boots, more on this at 11.
Specs:
Parkhurst Allen Boot, waxy commander leather.
~$275 after coupon
made in USA
Comfort/break-in:
I'd put these boots in the category of 'comfortable enough right out of the box, but not for a whole day'. The break-in period was maybe three or four wears before they were to the point I could confidently wear them an entire day without being worried about my feet hurting. The first few wears were standard issue, small blister on the heal, hurt after a mile walked etc. The slight tightness I mentioned in my initial impressions went away as I wore them in. Six months in (I probably average two days a week in these, typically weekends for reasons I'll get into later) and I think, for most trips, this will be the only pair of boots/shoes I'll pack with me. Really, really comfortable now that they're broken in.
Style - post break-in
So, I'm a big fan of how these have worn in. The knap (sp?) has started to come up in places, as you can see if you compare the pics from the initial impressions to the ones above. The leather has also become very supple and comfy to wear. The small scrape that I highlighted in my initial impressions is almost completely hidden now, so I'm glad I didn't return them. The leather hasn't changed color much at all over the six months I've had them - maybe gotten a touch lighter on the front, and a touch darker in the back where it rubs on my jeans? But, overall not substantial difference. They also haven't been conditioned or anything at all since buying them. Just a rub down with a brush every so often as they get dusty or wet.
Other thoughts:
Got an 8 ball of maybe some of the best raw Iβve ever had, however itβs proper clumpy so itβs har dto make proper lines.
Any tips? Will also speak to anyone about anything Iβm off my chops
Hey all,
I've (30s, male, northern European ethnicity) been mostly no poo for the last 5ish years.
I showered every morning before heading into work. I use a simple cheap plastic comb, and run it through my hair in every direction at least once while rinsing with just water. After towel-drying, I would comb it again with a different comb, while blow drying it into shape. I'd finish with a little bit of aloe after sun lotion to give it some mild hold.
During quarantine, I'm mildly ashamed to admit that I showered WAY less frequently than pre-quarantine. I also doubled the length of each strand from short, to medium length. Because I was showering so infrequently, my hair got a lot more oily without daily care. So when I did/do shower, the combing method wasn't as sufficient any more, so I would shampoo and condition it just to get the huge amounts of oil and junk out.
I've changed my routine recently and shower a little more frequently but still not daily like I used to. It's now been 7 or 8 weeks since my last shampoo use.
However, there's now a LOT more white waxy gunk on the comb while I'm showering. Like no matter how long I spend combing during the shower, there's always a pretty decent amount on the comb before I just kinda give up and leave it as is. I use the high pressure spray mode on my shower handle to blast it away, but it's always there.
So I guess my question is: what is it? Is it just oil that oxidizes into a waxy film, and I always had it but just a) have more buildup due to less frequent showers, and b) have more hair so it's retaining it more?
Or is there something else? Should I be doing something other than combing while showering?
Will the waxy surface fade to how smooth the other one i have is?
My hair always feels waxy. I have no idea how to get rid of this. I don't know if I have sebderm or not, never been diagnosed. Every time I finish shampooing, no matter what I try my hair feels waxy like it has a lot of build up. It seems to take overly long to dry. I just tried using Ion hard water shampoo and it didn't do anything. I've tried using T-sal. I used a clarifying shampoo. I used a shampoo without sulfates. I'm tired of trying to fix this. My hair looks dirty right after I shower! It looks glossy and sticks together! I am tired, please let me know how to fix it.
Basically title. My roughly 6 year old cat had some kinda funky waxy stuff on her claws and against the nail bed when I went to trim. It looked like the nail bed had previously been infected and I didn't catch it, but her nail beds aren't actually swollen or filled with pus and she doesn't seem to be in pain, jjst your typical chirping when I touched her paws to trim (she hates nail clippers)
Once I cleaned it off, she started to groom her paws, but nothing more than normal, and she was back to begging for treats in minutes. When I looked again to make sure it wasn't leaking pus or anything (it wasnt), it looked red and a tiny bit swollen, and a cursory Google search came up with nail fungus or nail bed infection, but I'd rather not make a vet trip if I don't have to as I am currently extremely low income, but I will if i need to on Monday.
Attached is a photo of the nail, but she doesn't like her picture taken or her paws messed with in general.
