A list of puns related to "Scimitar"
Hello everyone!
Let's start off with some background story first before I dig into my real question.
I've been playing FFXIV for about 6 to 7 years now.
Been using my keyboard for a long time and a steelseries mouse with 3 buttons for sprint/potion/oh shit button(holmgang for example)
I main tank so I've usually setup my bar a way that I always use skills 1 to 5 mostly, E for gapcloser, R for upheaval and F for well..second AOE attack which doesnt make much sense at all. (I'll add a screenshot of it.)
I also used shift+keys and alt+keys. but i notice that i sometimes still click while I dont want to.
So I got a corsair scimitar and I tried remapping EVERYthing at first. it was hell.
I have all my classes at 70+ at the moment so it's hard for me to reposition EVERYTHING.
It's really overwhelming so I reset it all ( made a backup).
I then decided to use the 12 buttons for F1 to F11 and = for sprint.
Yet i cant happen to still click something at times. especially since its burned into my muscle memory.
Does anyone have tips how to use the buttons the best way on the mouse and how my other classes wont feel overwhelming, or just another simple trick that could benefit me the most?
Thanks for reading

So, ive come up with a stupid idea. Seems you can get bonus attack with Scimitar of Speed juggling it every round, while making attack action with 2H weapon. This combo is taking 2 rounds of combat
So, step-by-step idea:
1 round: Attack with 2H. Then draw Scimitar and attack with bonus action.
2 round: Bonus action attack with Scimitar, then stow it. Then again attack with 2H
Repeat
Correct me if im missing something, but i cant find any rules that will stops from juggling SoS like this!
So I've been thinking about this for a long time and I think I've hit on something I've never seen mentioned: the Scimitar's original purpose.
First thing we learn about it is it's a predator. 50 something disruptors, primary and secondary shields, impenetrable cloak (which it could fire even when it was engaged), and a planet-killing super weapon which can control a radiation pulse that "expands without limit" that renders organic matter into dust in seconds.
In the film, Shinzon uses it in typical movie madman style to kill Earth, which leads me to consider that the original, and sole purpose of the Scimitar was to locate and eliminate the Founder's new homeworld - to succeed where the Tal Shiar failed in its alliance with the Cardassians.
The Remans built the ship on Remus in secret, but the plans had to come from somewhere. Remans were either miners or cannon fodder, so the Romulans, especially the Tal Shiar, considered them expendable, so who better to work with, and be exposed to, Thalaron energy. Slave workers building ships was probably nothing new to the Romulans, so specially conditioned Remans probably built the ship under supervision, they would crew it, go off to the Gamma Quadrant and told either the Founders die or you do. The use of Reman language on the consoles could be seen as direct evidence that Romulans probably weren't going anywhere near it. Alternatively, and more likely, it may actually have been because the Remans stole the ship.
How do we know it's meant to be Dominion proof? Well the first evidence is when Geordie tries to scan through the cloak using an anti-proton scan. Who broke the Defiant's Roman cloak with zero effort using an AP scan? The Dominion (Search pt-1). Which military power had weapons that could punch through shields with zero effort? The Dominion. When the combined Obsidion Order Tal Shiar fleet attacked the Omarion Nebula the Dominion sent 150 attack ships and annihilated the fleet in minutes. Scimitar has the firepower to defend against a fleet of ships. Enterprise's quantum torpedoes, shown to annihilate Jem'Hadar ships on impact, barely tickled its shields. In fact, even the combined firepower of Starfleet's flagship and two Romulan Warbirds was shrugged off as nothing but a nuisance, while Scimitar disabled all three ships with laughable ease and next to no damage of its own. It never even used its complement of fighters, which we can assume would be numerous enough to swarm the enemy and provide poi

I love every single one of these for some reason or another, but I keep to a budget for my knife collection and recently purchased a few big fish. Yolos and "I'll take it" will take priority over PMs. Prices are PP G&S shipped USPS to CONUS. I will not be trading, thanks.

It would also be nice if the pontiff sword was upgraded
So obviously when you look for real scimitars you end up seeing things like the shamshir, kilij, etc. But are there any real world examples preferably from the Middle East, but anywhere is fine that actually resembles those very broad, almost clip point scimitars that cartoon pirates are seen with. The closest I have been able to find are European Falchion. If not does anyone know where that trope came from?
Edit: to be clear Iβm not in the market for more swords at the moment, itβs just a very common trope and Iβm just curious how it started since historical examples are so different
I'm looking for a Middle Eastern Scimitar and I just can't seem to find one.
Rogue paladin fighter double bladed scimitar build
Character Building
Hey guys i have found the double-bladed-scimitar/DBS and want to build a class around it. I ended up with planning my levels till 20 and ended up with 7 lvl swashbuckler-rogue for evasion, 2 lvl fighter for fighting style and attack and 11 vengance-paladin for better smite in the end. I startet with shadar kai as a roguish ravenqueen paladin and just a little fighter. Stats 13 str 15 dex +2 elves/17 15con +1 shadar kai/16 8 int 8 wis 13 char
At lvl 4 revenant blade-feat to hit the 18 dex and get the main feat.
I skilled 3 rouge 1 fighter until now. But i am not sure how to continue leveling from now on.
If sombody doesnt see my plan. Good mobility in combat, good AC and using DBS and hit hard with the smitey bonus actions of the DBS. I am new to dnd genre so: Thanks for ideas and sugestions!!! :)
I have maxed out my Scimitar to +10 and completed world 1 & world 3 with it. and it scales with dexterity
Solved: Heavenly Sword is the game:)
Picked it up with the free voucher because I've always wanted one since its release and I'm trying hard to make it work. Only problem is that the thing just won't stop sliding into the middle of the next star system. I tried a few ISA runs to get acquainted only to have the run constantly ruined by its handling. Overshooting the first group of cubes, then I could never get the ship to stop in front of the transformers. Turn rate is an absolute joke unless you spend TWO console slots for the set consoles to boost turn rate. I won't gripe too much about that since the two consoles actually boost damage and firing rate so I'm gaining more than losing. What can I do to stop it drifting everywhere? How many more console slots do I need to sacrifice?
I am pretty close to the end of ds remastered and am doing significantly low damage. My Scimitar is +10. What should I do?
So I was having fun using Morghs M&B WB-WFAS Editor and I was making Crownlands Knights be more like a knight by customizing their inventory and increasing their power strike due to their armor hindering their skills. Then, I noticed as I was looking for a cool sword for them, I found a Valyrian scimitar existed in this mod and I equipped it to the Crownlands Knights to see what it looks like. Its stats are 46 swing damage, 5 thrusting, 120 swing speed, and 96 weapon length. It looks really stunning and I want to have it! So it lead me here to ask how and where can I get the Valyrian Scimitar in this mod?
Hi,
I do have the opportunity to make a new character for an ongoing mid level Eberron campaing and will be doing a Paladin. I want this character to be STR based and single class (just a preference from myself and works better in that campaign).
Currently working on a build for around lvl 12(+) for an Oath of Vengeance Paladin. I want to increase the chances for crits by going for advantage where possible. To achive this I was thinking about a Mark of Shadow Elf (switching +2 DEX to +2 STR thanks to Tasha's) combined with Blind Fighting, so I can use the Darkness spell for advantage (later on even Greater Invisibility). Since I won't be starting with a lvl 1 feat I decided to not go for PAM/GWM, but for a Double-Bladed Scimitar instead, which provides the opportunity for another attack and thus helps maximize chances to crit.
Starting attributes and feats/ASIs up until lvl 12
15/10/13/08/10/15
Resilient(CON); having proficiency in con saves seems very good with all the high impact concentration spells, also helps with breakpoints
Revenant Blade; +1 STR and +AC seem nice, especially when missing out on defense fighing style
+2 STR
resulting lvl 12 stats (including racial bonus):
20/10/14/08/10/16
(my personal stats will be a bit better, but this would be for point buy)
Pros in my eyes:
more than one option to gain advantage compared to a 'regular' OoV Paladin, which only has one per short rest
3 attacks/round when buffed (4 with Haste)
likely to keep concentration up
20 STR
Cons:
a bit cheesy (especially when using a tactic to conceal the source of darkness); also not very good against true sight and may hinder allies
missing out on battlefield utility from PAM
no option to go for GWM or Elven Accuracy later in the game
Reliant on one weapon type, not necessarily likely to get a magic version
So I'd like to know your opinions on this version of a Paladin. Do I overvalue advantage? Would it be better to just go for PAM and GWM eventually? Other good ways to gain advantage with three attacks? Other suggestions maybe?
I like the option of using the Darkness spell without needing Warlock and be able to go for 3 attacks/round with advantage (around ~25% chance to crit one or more times, compared to ~15% without advantage).
