Hi all. My husband and I love going camping and since we live in ChCh we love going over to the West Coast (if you haven't been, it's insanely beautiful and chilled out over there) but are sick of all the sandflies. I always get bitten so badly and swell up from it no matter how much insect repellent I use. Does anyone have any low sandfly suggestions?

i know as an infanteer sandflies and mosquitoes are part of the package, but im the kinda guy who wanna “deal” with whatever that is being thrown at me during training. So I dont see a need to see the medic or fall out just because i have like over 20 bites all around my body.
i’ve tried the saf insect repellent… but it doesn’t help repel these pests… i’ve got a ton of bites on both my palms, buttocks and chest… any tips/tricks on how y’all infanteers/combatants manage during or even post outfield.
