Honest question. Cristobal & Moorhead seem to get a lot of attention on this sub but I rarely ever hear anything about DeRuyter, and honestly, I think his defense is terrible. If Mario is sticking around, which I hope and believe he is, he is a CEO type of coach who's primary asset is leadership and personnel. Anyone else think DeRuyter was a downgrade from Avolos and Cristobal should go back to the drawing board? Without KT, I think this defense gives up a lot more points and probably loses 2 - 3 more games, and that's on the D coordinator.

We all know by now SK left out information out and minimized evidence to make a better case for Adnan, but Murder in Illinois took it to another level of unethical with the amount of lies and false information it gave in order to try and create a case for innocence. Thankfully, Serial taught me to do outside research before assuming I was getting the entire case in podcast form, but it really made me wish their was some accountability in podcasting. Is this just the inevitable future of true crime, people trying to get their 15 minutes no matter the cost to the victim’s family/loved ones/those affected by the crime?

I'm an agnostic atheist but for the purpose of this post, let's assume that Jehovah is real (pardon me if you still believe in Jehovah).
If Jehovah, is the "one true and most powerful God", then the excuse that "It doesn't bring reproach to Jehovah's name" is the most nonsensical excuse the borg could ever think of for asking its members to not report CSA to the authorities.
Witnesses reporting CSA to the authorities will NOT make Jehovah any less powerful or true. So the excuse that the borg gives is very illogical at best. There was never a time, when I was active, that I made sense of the excuse, and yet the nonsense still carries on.. Even then, if I was PIMI, and I had a child who was abused in the borg by any of its member, I will report to the police immediately, and proceed to file a lawsuit (this has always been my stance on this issue, not the nonsense they say at the kingdom hall).
