A list of puns related to "Quest For Fire"
Aunor, Drifter, their interactions, the thoughtfulness on being a guardian and the implications of mortality? It's all handled brilliantly.
:D
I mean really, can you imagine the Brotherhood of Steel ordering the Sole Survivor to track down a bunch of furries and exterminate them? Because I can and now I can't stop chuckling.
Iβm currently level 7. These are my stats
Strength - 6 Agility - 4 Vitality - 4 Speech - 7
I have a βPiecerβ longsword that does 66 damage. My armor is all about in the 20s and low 30s.
Iβm curious if I should maybe go around the world doing side quests and level up more in certain areas, get better armor, or if thereβs certain things I can do to make the quest any easier. I can make it to the Runt right, but by the time I make it to him, my health is 20% or below. I havenβt poisoned the camp or burned the arrows Bc Iβve seen people say it doesnβt really make it any easier and actually doing it on Hardcore is quite difficult to get in there, escape, and not die.
I battled Runt a few times at 12% health, but he kills me every time. Iβm hoping some of you guys have some good tips or tricks that can help me out. Iβd really love to get past this part. Itβs the only thing holding me back from continuing my Hardcore run.
I've got a big caveman vibe going and realized I don't think I've ever read a good story from a grunting caveman's perspective. The movie A Quest For Fire and the series Primal by Genndy Tartakovsky are somewhat what I'm looking for. I'd be interested in reading a narrative about a protagonist without language.
Any suggestions?
We all know a small indie dev like blizzard really needs the $ to keep hearthstone going , so when they started the fire festival again this year I for one really appreciated it. And I say to those of you complaining that they only offered quests for 4 days TIME TO BUST OUT THAT WALLET AND PAY MORE BITCHES! YOU DONT GET HOLIDAY QUESTS FOR MORE THAN A COUPLE DAYS HAHAHAHA! (f2p btw)
Just went down there and back up, and came across 4 level 40-50 weapons, including machine guns and swords. Is this normal? Is it worth keeping them?
I saw some comments where people assumed that this thing is one of the events which Blizzard promised to kind of compensate lack of adventures, price increase and so on. And they feel bad cause a large number of people get nothing from the event. I don't know if this thing means that we would lack an event where all people will benefit but what if? Lemmi tell ya.
Total packs giveaway is 163k.
Total number of people who receive packs is 51001.
My favorite event was Midsummer Fire Festival cause it was a straight and clear effect on gold (which as well mean packs). It lasted for 14 days or smth like that. I think you get 50g from quests on average so it was extra 700g = 7 packs. And it was a reward for everyone who played and completed all quests.
So how can we compare these things without knowing the actual number of people playing?
Let's assume that 51001 is a total number of active players nowadays who participate. 163k/51001 = 3.1960...= 3.2 packs per person on average. If we have even more active players this number is even smaller.
So an avr giveaway per person would be smth like 3 packs compared to 7 from another event or less (I hope we have more than 50k active people who play this game).
In case this is one of the event's (which number is limited) which is meant to compensate lack of adventures, Blizzard give away quite a lot less packs. But if this is just an extra thing it's like okay, some people are just a bit luckier.
Interesting fact: If a FTP person wins the main prize it's best for Blizzard. He doesn't pay anyway so it's like they never even gave away packs since he doesn't bring profit.
And I think it's better for them to give really big prizes but to a small number of people rather than give a little bit to all. Most people pay nothing or not much. Since packs cost nothing to make it's like losing one paying customer or even nothing if one doesn't pay anyway. Though if you give a very small number of packs to everyone it's like giving nothing at all, so this is not 100% true.
TL;DR If this is one of the planned events which are meant to compensate lack of adventures and overall price increase it's much worse than Fire Festival. With a few assumptions, it's 3 packs compared to 7 on average. Most people get nothing and Blizzard giveaway much fewer packs overall.
So first there is a little spoiler if you haven't completed this quest. I'm sure I'm beyond late to the party but just in case here's a little tip. So during the main big fight in the quest line baptism by fire I had a hella time looting any of the body's and was pretty bummed. After it was all said and done I went straight to my chest pretty much dumped everything in my inventory and horses inventory (can't use your horses storage during the fight) and went back. There were atleast 6 locked easy chest and most were full of loot. After selling everything I looted I made right around 4k and got myself some decent armor. Not a bad haul at all. One thing I was bummed about was I climbed up where I fought Runt but he was no longer there and was bummed I couldn't get his armor but all in all it was a decent haul. There may be a easier way but I figured I'd share this tip. Have fun!
Seriously, I did 2 embermane hunts, got wrecked in both yet apparently I ONLY got 1 part collected for the quest despite all the breaks reported in the post hunt screen, wth is wrong with this quest?
After hearing how lengthy the demo was, and with a curiosity mostly fueled by Smash, I decided to give the DQXI demo a try. And holy crap was I drawn right into the world. Yes, I know this has been available on the PS4 for a while, but the game was ported BEAUTIFULLY on Swtich. The colorful visuals and charming art style feel right at home on this Nintendo system. The voice acting is very well done, and the orchestrated music is phenomenal. Everything has that perfect balance of fun and epic, like a Zelda game! And the battle system gives me some fun Pokemon vibes with its uniquely-designed enemies.
Most of all though, knowing the history of the series and the influence its has on the RPG genre, I feel like I'm getting a truly authentic role-playing game experience with its traditional story and gameplay mechanics, yet grand scope and wonderfully detailed world. Everything in its presentation screams "this is THE epic RPG to play". If the demo continues to impress me this much I'll definitely be buying the full game to complete the story. I think Dragon Quest has got itself a new fan!
Fallout 4... ...paladin danse keeps saying "check your fire we've got hostiles"?.. I am stuck at assist the people
I'd love to see how the lack of language was handled in the script.
I would think it would be a great opportunity to come up with something special for each class to go out and get on their own. It seems strange that Warlocks get this great epic quest but no other classes do, unless they are implementing them one at a time or something.
I know there is a whole lore reason for the Green Fire, but I would think they could come up with something lore wise for everyone, or at least something new.
Thoughts?
