Salam everyone!

I am thinking of applying to the Qalam 1 year Seminary program for 2022 - 2023. I just graduated college and am planning to go to graduate school this upcoming August, but if I decide to do Qalam, I will defer grad school and start next year inshAllah. I was wondering if anyone had any advice about how people fund this type of thing. I've asked the Qalam people and they said people usually live with family in the area or arrange something with their community and it seemed like most people already had enough money saved up from before or that people's parents funded it.

For reference, I am not from Dallas, so I would have to move to Dallas, pay the Qalam tuition, and pay for an apartment, etc. The program says it's not very conducive to having a job while being a student, so I don't think working while being in Qalam would work well and it still wouldn't be enough. I am working now, but definitely would not make enough money to fund their $7,200 and cost of living for a year. I also don't really want to ask my parents since it's a large sum of money that they wouldn't have anyway.

Does anyone know of any resources/scholarships/loans that would work for something like this? I really really want to do this program, and the finances of it are basically the only thing holding me back. (also, I know it's offered online, but I want to study in-person!) they do offer financial aid but it only covers tuition, and cost of living is honestly my biggest concern. I think I could save up enough money over the next 6 months or so to pay the tuition, but I am still stuck figuring out how to afford living in Dallas for a year. any advice or ideas would be greatly appreciated!

By qalam i mean a field as like Al mu'tazila, Al-Ash'ariah and other schools that is influenced by the greek philosophy..,i cannot see how that qalam is the wayy of Islam as we knoe the companions and Rasulullah himself don''t use qalam there is a sahih hadith about it.Isn't that we should only see qalam as a way to fight the greek philosophy but not the Islam that is brought by Rasulullah?This is what great Scholars said about qalam.https://www.islamweb.net/en/fatwa/280561/why-some-scholars-studied-kalaam-theology-though-prohibited-by-the-salafAsh-Shaafi‘i who said: "My judgment concerning Kalaam theologians is that they should be taken around the community and beaten with palm branches and slippers and it will be said to them: this is the punishment for leaving the Words of Allaah and the words of the Messenger of Allaah, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam." There is no fulfillment of this noble objective in Kalaam; the most it comprises is a dramatization … So listen to this from someone who is and expert in Kalaam theology, and who came to the same conclusion as that of the Kalaam theologians, and then exceeded that and delved deeper into other sciences that suit Kalaam theology (i.e. philosophy), and then realized that the path to knowledge from these means has been obstructed." As we know Abu Al-Hasan Al-Ash‘ari become salaf in his final years.If the following hadith is really from prophet isn't that we should know by now that salaf is the only right way of Islam.

"One day after the morning Salat, the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) exhorted us to the extent that the eyes wept and the hearts shuddered with fear. A man said: 'Indeed this is a farewell exhortation. [So what] do you order us O Messenger of Allah?' He said: 'I order you to have Taqwa of Allah, and to listen and obey, even in the case of an Ethiopian slave. Indeed, whomever among you lives, he will see much difference. Beware of the newly invented matters, for indeed they are astray. Whoever among you sees that, then he must stick to my Sunnah and the Sunnah of the rightly guided Khulafa', cling to it with the molars.'"

Grade:

إِنَّ لِلۡمُتَّقِینَ عِندَ رَبِّهِمۡ جَنَّـٰتِ ٱلنَّعِیمِ ﴿ ٣٤ ﴾

• Dr. Mustafa Khattab: Indeed, the righteous will have Gardens of Bliss with their Lord. (34)

Al-Qalam, Ayah 34

أَفَنَجۡعَلُ ٱلۡمُسۡلِمِینَ كَٱلۡمُجۡرِمِینَ ﴿ ٣٥ ﴾

• Dr. Mustafa Khattab: Should We then treat those who have submitted like the wicked? (35)

Al-Qalam, Ayah 35

مَا لَكُمۡ كَیۡفَ تَحۡكُمُونَ ﴿ ٣٦ ﴾

• Dr. Mustafa Khattab: What is the matter with you? How do you judge? (36)

Al-Qalam, Ayah 36

أَمۡ لَكُمۡ كِتَـٰبࣱ فِیهِ تَدۡرُسُونَ ﴿ ٣٧ ﴾

• Dr. Mustafa Khattab: Or do you have a scripture, in which you read (37)

Al-Qalam, Ayah 37

إِنَّ لَكُمۡ فِیهِ لَمَا تَخَیَّرُونَ ﴿ ٣٨ ﴾

• Dr. Mustafa Khattab: that you will have whatever you choose? (38)

Al-Qalam, Ayah 38

أَمۡ لَكُمۡ أَیۡمَـٰنٌ عَلَیۡنَا بَـٰلِغَةٌ إِلَىٰ یَوۡمِ ٱلۡقِیَـٰمَةِ إِنَّ لَكُمۡ لَمَا تَحۡكُمُونَ ﴿ ٣٩ ﴾

• Dr. Mustafa Khattab: Or do you have oaths binding on Us until the Day of Judgment that you will have whatever you decide? (39)

Al-Qalam, Ayah 39

سَلۡهُمۡ أَیُّهُم بِذَ ٰ⁠لِكَ زَعِیمٌ ﴿ ٤٠ ﴾

• Dr. Mustafa Khattab: Ask them ˹O Prophet˺ which of them can guarantee all that. (40)

Al-Qalam, Ayah 40

أَمۡ لَهُمۡ شُرَكَاۤءُ فَلۡیَأۡتُوا۟ بِشُرَكَاۤىِٕهِمۡ إِن كَانُوا۟ صَـٰدِقِینَ ﴿ ٤١ ﴾

• Dr. Mustafa Khattab: Or do they have associate-gods ˹supporting this claim˺? Then let them bring forth their associate-gods, if what they say is true. (41)

Al-Qalam, Ayah 41

یَوۡمَ یُكۡشَفُ عَن سَاقࣲ وَیُدۡعَوۡنَ إِلَى ٱلسُّجُودِ فَلَا یَسۡتَطِیعُونَ ﴿ ٤٢ ﴾

• Dr. Mustafa Khattab: ˹Beware of˺ the Day the Shin ˹of Allah˺ will be bared, and the wicked will be asked to prostrate, but they will not be able to do so, (42)

I have to upload my coronovairus vaccination certificate but the qalam website gives a 404 error no matter what page I go to.

What should I do?

Has anyone tried learning Arabic through Qalam Wa Lawh’s online MSA program? :) There aren’t enough recent reviews about it.

1. Background to this Post

Critics of Islam Ahmadiyya like to routinely attack the differences we Ahmadis have with the mainstream Muslims. They do this in an attempt to discredit Islam Ahmadiyya as not being true to the Early Islam that Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him). This is a serious attack on Islam as we claim to be the revival of the original Islam of Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him).

In this post, I will present a clear explanation on this topic so that there is no longer any debate on this topic and it is clear for our Muslim brothers and sisters. I will examine both views so that if any honest person wants to choose between them they can. I will also examine criticism of the Ahmadi Muslim View.

Please note that when referencing the Holy Quran, I have used Ahmadi verse numbering throughout as Bismillah is part of the Quranic Revelation but I have used Non-Ahmadi verse numbering when quoting words from Abu Amina Elias.

2. Is one view UnIslamic?

Now, the enemies of Jamaat-e-Ahmadiyya try to make it seem like our view is Unislamic of Historically inaccurate. I think Abu Amina Elias, a Non-Ahmadi Muslim explains this idea the best in his article, Will people be punished in Hell forever? :

>The majority of Muslim scholars believe that the Hellfire will exist eternally and that unbelievers will reside within it forever. A minority of scholars, however, believe that the Hellfire will exist eternally, but that eventually it will be emptied of any inhabitants.
