A list of puns related to "Phono Jack"
This seems like itβs a difficult thing to find but shouldnβt be! What am I missing out on?
I have the Live 2 and was trying them out. It seems that anything run through RCA just came out painfully loud but maybe I am using them incorrectly.
I always use the 1/4 jack inputs running from my mixer for sampling.
This is probably the dumbest question ever, but what are the RCA inputs for? Balancing?
Hi all,
I have an older stereo amp that I would like to use to power some modern yamaha outdoor speakers i picked up at bestbuy until i get my new amp. On the back panel, above the phono jacks for the speakers it states a 12V DC 70mA output to the speakers. I am guessing the old speakerw that came with this unit required the DC voltage to put the voice coils out to the center of the magnet. I did some looking online but only saw people talking about 1Vdc or less.
My question is: will it hurt my new speakers for 12Vdc 70mA to be sent to them? I measured just under 12Vdc with my DMM at a lower volume level with no speakers hooked up.
The speakers i bought are Yamaha NS-AW390BL and the stereo amp is a Soundesign 6846BKM.
If i need to i'll just wait until my modern amp comes in the mail.
Thanks all.
Hey Lads, I'm looking for advice on a phono pre-amp, ideally with a headphone jack for my vinyl setup. The ones I've found online so far have had so-so reviews. Hoping someone here has first hand experience.
Any advice would be appreciated! Thanks :)
I was going to add a TDA7492P-Amplifier-Wireless-Bluetooth-Receiver to old poweramp/stereo setup. I realized the old stereo has a phono in. Could I run the bluetooth modeule into the RCA phono jack and not blow something up? I realized it would be running an amplifier into another amplifier.
Output power: add pre-5532 output foot powered 25V, 6Ο impedance output 2x50W
Thanks!
I'm looking for something like this. I'd like to buy domestically so it doesn't take a whole month to ship from China. Most electronics websites like Mouser tack on ridiculous shipping costs to send to Canada. Must be red, white/black and yellow since it's for an A/V mod on an old video game console.
Edit: demostically! hahaha
I picked up on a whim from a neighbor a Coronado 43-8576 Info / Spec Sheet
It seems to be in working order and I can pick up some AM radio stations with good clarity. However since I almost never listen to the AM stations I would like to use it's phono-in capability.
What about:
The jack looks like it's probably a banana plug, a 3.5mm jack did not want to go into it but a single rca sorta did.
What should I do? I don't know if the record player would still need a preamp and then convert to mono, or what I should put between a chromecast and the plug.
A push in the right direction would be most appreciated!
hi.
I have a pair of earphones that have not 3 not 4 but 5! yes 5! conductors.
i was a dickhead and dropped my phone with earphones plugged in, smashing the plug.
I would now like to fix it, but cant find anywhere that will sell me a TRRRS plug for under $20 (and comes connected to a pair of earphones.)
Help please!
Over the years my hearing has become an issue to the point where I want to use a bluetooth headset to hear the television. We have a surround sound setup. The headset input is what I call a phono jack (larger size). I purchased a bluetooth transmitter that I want to plug into the phono jack port with a smaller plug adapter (to work with the transmitter). I plug the phono jack in only to find that when I do that it shuts the sound off to the surround sound speakers. Is there a quick fix?
Thank you!
Hello all, I currently have speakers which plug into an amp with RCA connectors. Can I get some sort of adapter that lets me plug those into a connection which has speaker outputs like on the right here? Or will I have to cut open the cable and ruin the endings of the wire? I canβt seem to find the correct search terms on Google or reddit for a real answer because I don't know what the second ones are called.
Thanks for your time and sorry if this is the wrong place to be asking.
My receiver has no Phono jack, so i barely get any output from my player. It's a pretty nice Pioneer receiver that works wonderfully with modern devices, but without a phono plug, i don't get much sound. What should i do?
Edit: Solved, thanks everyone!!
Hey all,
I recently got the old Dual 1219 of my mom and I got it up and running again. With that I also got a Marantz RS 4010. And I already have a speaker set.
But the thing is, I don't really know how to properly connect this;
The Dual has two cables as output (image below)
I also added a photo of the inputs for the Marantz.
Im not really known with how this all works, but it seems like either I should make some RCA (or somethig else?) endings on the end of the Dual output cables, or there should be something in between the Dual and Marantz. But I believe the Marantz does not need a pre-amp or anything right?
Thanks for your help guys :)
Inputs of the Marantz. There are Phono, Tape3/aux, and Tape monitor inputs.
Hey y'all :)
I recently got myself a Uher 4000 Report Monitor and also some cheap no-name Walkman with a record function which I wanted to use as a lo-fi field recorder that I just take with me all the time.
It records to normal compact cassettes and I planned on just recording it into the DAW via the headphone jack that was on it but now that I have the Reel to Reel machine I wonder if there is any way to put the tape from the cassette onto the R2R machine for some extra tape feeling instead of just directly recording it into the daw.
I think one solution would be to connect the headphone output from the walkman to the mic input on the Uher via an adapter but is there also a way to actually use the tape itself?
Looking forward to your answers! :)
I don't want to step on anybody's toes here, but the amount of non-dad jokes here in this subreddit really annoys me. First of all, dad jokes CAN be NSFW, it clearly says so in the sub rules. Secondly, it doesn't automatically make it a dad joke if it's from a conversation between you and your child. Most importantly, the jokes that your CHILDREN tell YOU are not dad jokes. The point of a dad joke is that it's so cheesy only a dad who's trying to be funny would make such a joke. That's it. They are stupid plays on words, lame puns and so on. There has to be a clever pun or wordplay for it to be considered a dad joke.
Again, to all the fellow dads, I apologise if I'm sounding too harsh. But I just needed to get it off my chest.
Do your worst!
I'm surprised it hasn't decade.
For context I'm a Refuse Driver (Garbage man) & today I was on food waste. After I'd tipped I was checking the wagon for any defects when I spotted a lone pea balanced on the lifts.
I said "hey look, an escaPEA"
No one near me but it didn't half make me laugh for a good hour or so!
Edit: I can't believe how much this has blown up. Thank you everyone I've had a blast reading through the replies π
It really does, I swear!
I just picked up a Node 2i hoping to add a streaming input into my old Harman Kardon 730 receiver.
When I hook it up to my Cambridge Audio Alva Solo and then into the receiver itβs INCREDIBLY quiet and particularly muffled. Turning up the volume nearly all the way on the receiver helps, as does maxing out the audio from the airplay device, but itβs not a pleasant sound certainly. Phono stage of the amp is similar but even worse.
No issues with the headphone jack, nor the Solo with my newer TT. Speakers are Klipsch KG 2.5s which, again, sound fine on the TT setup.
Am I missing something here or could this one have some RCA output issue? Thanks!
Buenosdillas
Theyβre on standbi
Pilot on me!!
