My rock band, the rolling stones, was an instant hit.

A woman was standing out on the street outside a restaurant giving out tasters to passers-by.

Woman: Would you like to try? It's chicken!

Passer-by: [without missing a beat] How dare you! I'm sure it was very brave before it died!

... when something falls out of the tree and hits him on the head.

He picks up the fallen object and examines it, then declares, “Why, some invisible force must have pulled this apple to the ground!”

A passerby overhears the famed scientist, then mutters, “Fucking idiot doesn’t know one fruit from another,” before shouting, “Hey! That’s a fig, Newton!”

A concerned passerby stopped and asked him why he was throwing ice at taxis.

The man replied, "I'm hailing a cab."

They start arguing about who is the better farmer as they compare crops. They wave down a passerby and ask, "sir, who do you think is a better farmer?" They looks at them and says, "It's hard to say, you're both outstanding in your fields."

I'm a second year university student. I was walking back to my room and walked into an acquaintance. We're both computer geeks more or less, and I was carrying my laptop with me. I started making some simple smalltalk when he noticed my laptop.

"Oh! Is that a Dell?"

Me: "oh!...Yeah! It's a Dell, but not the singer."

Continued to walk past, as this encounter took an entire 10 seconds at most

Random passerby that overheard in a hearty tone: "Hey! That was funny!"
