A list of puns related to "Multiracial"

You don't have to specifically be half. Just multiracial and of African descent. Less moderated just come make it yours.
Hello Internet! As a very ambitious and anxious high school student, I've been an avid reader on this thread, r/chanceme, r/a2c, and College Confidential. I am a committed student to the Yale Class of 2025 now and thought I'd share my results/how I think I got in after a very tumultuous and stressful year of COVID and college apps! I've left my main takeaways and advice at the bottom of the post for students navigating/researching upcoming college applications. Cheers!

Hey all,
So I'm about to apply for an internal job within a company and I'm in what feels like a conundrum to me. I'm 1/4 Kazakh and grew up in what I would call a Kazakh home. I don't look multiracial at all- I'm have blue eyes and freckles and some of my facial hair is even blonde. The only hint is that I have a partial epicanthic fold.
My company is pushing a diversity initiative and wants to have people feel comfortable in their own skin. I haven't told anyone that I'm not 100% white because it's never come up- but I don't want to check the box on the application and put my volunteer position with the Society of Asian Scientists and Engineers on my resume and have people think I'm just taking advantage of diversity hiring practices.
Basically nobody ever believes I'm central asian until they see my father, grandparents or visit my house or the house I grew up in.
I want to check the white box and not list SASE on my resume because I hate having to convince people that I am asian by speaking Kazakh or showing them pictures of my family. It's easier to just check the white box and fly under the radar without having to explain everything from my looks to where Kazakhstan even is to the history of the region- but I could possibly benefit from the diversity hiring and miss out on the slight edge that could push me over the top. I'm a prime candidate for the role regardless of race but I want to maximize my chances.
Has anyone been in this or a similar situation before?

Via the Washington Post, an NYU professor and author of Cruelty as Citizenship: How Migrant Suffering Sustains White Democracy "explains" Trump's support among POC.
> Rooted in Americaβs ugly history of white supremacy, indigenous dispossession and anti-blackness, multiracial whiteness is an ideology invested in the unequal distribution of land, wealth, power and privilege β a form of hierarchy in which the standing of one section of the population is premised on the debasement of others. Multiracial whiteness reflects an understanding of whiteness as a political color and not simply a racial identity β a discriminatory worldview in which feelings of freedom and belonging are produced through the persecution and dehumanization of others.
>
>Multiracial whiteness promises Latino Trump supporters freedom from the politics of diversity and recognition. For voters who see the very act of acknowledging oneβs racial identity as itself racist, the politics of multiracial whiteness reinforces their desired approach to colorblind individualism. In the politics of multiracial whiteness, anyone can join the MAGA movement and engage in the wild freedom of unbridled rage and conspiracy theories.
Reader comments are, of course, disabled for the article.
i can't seem to find a clear answer for this so i figured i'd ask around.
i'm mixed white & asian, but i've got two completely separate regions of asian (southeast & central). i was wondering if this constitutes being multiracial since they're two completely separate parts of asia and different enough that i often end up checking 3 boxes on "choose your ethnicity" questions, or if this is still biracial since at the end of the day i am still "simply" asian + white?
it's ok if there's no official/clear cut answer to this. any thoughtful responses are appreciated as i've been thinking about this quite a bit lately.
I have friends on all sides of the Israel/Palestine issue. I don't understand why there can't be a Palestinian state that respects all ethnic, racial, and religious backgrounds. Could someone explain why they chose to create Israel rather than just a multiethic/racial/religious Palestine?
This is a stupid opinion piece that popped up yesterday in the Washington Post. It basically starts with the premise of "If we know that the people who support Trump and stormed the capitol only did so because of white supremacy, how come many of them aren't white?
Here's the solution the writer arrives at: Multiracial Whiteness
>Multiracial whiteness offers citizens of every background the freedom to call Muslims terrorists, demand that undocumented immigrants be rounded up and deported, deride BLM as a movement of thugs and criminals, and accuse Democrats of being blood-drinking pedophiles.
>
>Here, the politics of exclusion, violence and demonization are available to all. If you want to speak Spanish and celebrate a quinceaΓ±era in your family, go ahead. If you want to be a Proud Boy, be a Proud Boy. Trump doesnβt care. As long as you love him, heβll love you.
>
>Americaβs racial divide is not simply between Whites and non-Whites. Thinking in terms of multiracial whiteness helps us recognize that much of todayβs political rift is a division between those who are drawn to and remain invested in a politics of whiteness and those who seek something better.
Wait, so this means that White is just a synonym for hate-derived exclusionary politics? Does this mean all whitey is inherently evil? Well, no they can always just vote democrat and support a POC ticket:
> Todayβs political rift is a division between those who are drawn to and remain invested in a politics of whiteness and those who seek something better.
>
>We witnessed this when a significant segment of White voters broke with Georgiaβs White majority, joining a multiracial coalition that sent Raphael Warnock and Jon Ossoff to the U.S. Senate, following the leadership of Black women whose organizing made that electoral victory possible.
I find thi

I am a multiracial person writing a dissertation exploring the role of national censuses and monitoring forms in tracking multiracial people who are two or more minority races/ethnicities. My research looks at those who typically select "mixed other" or "any other mixed background" in forms and how we as multiracial people inhabit space when we do not fit inside a tick box. Please share your experiences and let me know if you'd like to be interviewed or stay up to date with the project!
*** The survey is open to all ages, genders and locations - please DM or comment if you have any questions. My email is also in the link below. Deadline: April 15th ***
iβm black, filipino, and white but i look like every race under the sun
my whole life iβve felt like an outsider and alone. i just had a not so good convo with my mom (white) about race/me/her/our family and itβs brought up a lot of issues iβve always dealt with alone. every time one of this mass shootings, killings or protests involving race happens these issues come back up. iβm hurt by it but feel like iβm both apart of the community and not. i always feel left out of the gate but i mean i donβt look black or asian. itβs just so confusing. idk
Sexual reproduction emerged because asexual animals risk being wiped out from a single disease or other cause, that all such animals who share the same DNA would be susceptible to. Moreover, we know that inbreeding among humans has a risk of causing of genetic defects. Furthermore, it is widely accepted that among dogs, mutts tend to be smarter and healthier than purebreds. So it would seem to stand to reason, that the more genetically diverse a person, the better.
Link to article by said sociologist. https://www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/2021/01/15/understand-trumps-support-we-must-think-terms-multiracial-whiteness/ I assume she's a sociologist, I don't know who she is.
The use of "whiteness" there is confusing to me. She defines it as
> an ideology invested in the unequal distribution of land, wealth, power and privilege β a form of hierarchy in which the standing of one section of the population is premised on the debasement of others. Multiracial whiteness reflects an understanding of whiteness as a political color and not simply a racial identity β a discriminatory worldview in which feelings of freedom and belonging are produced through the persecution and dehumanization of others.
It goes beyond identity. So what is whiteness? What does it mean to be a white in the US? I'm not an American so all this discourse about white and non-white is lost to me.
I know this sorta post can attract some odd bunches but I hope not. Hoping for anthro Reddit to help clear this up. Thanks.
How would you feel about multi-racial kingdoms?
If for example a dwarven kingdom attacks an elf kingdom, the elves wouldn't be completely destroyed, but they would end up under dwarven rule as an elven city.
If you were to place an orc in an elven kingdom, the orc will build up his own city under elven rule.
Idk, I really like that idea lol
Hi Everyone, just looking for a bit of advice. I'm working on my dissertation where I'm exploring the aging experiences of people who are biracial/multiracial, bisexual, and 50+ years old. Any recommendations on best spaces, platforms, or organizations I can use to find people that fit this criteria? Thank you!
