A trial is set to start on Monday 9/27 in West Virginia for a man accused of killing his girlfriendβs daughter.
A jury was selected in the trial of Andy J. McCauley Jr. in the May 2019 death of Riley Crossman.
The 15-year-old Crossmanβs decomposed body was found on an embankment near a road in rural Berkeley County by officers from the Division of Natural Resources. Berkeley Springs High School had contacted her mother a week earlier about her absence from school.
McCauley, a person of interest since the first day of the investigation, was taken into custody hours after the body was found. He is charged with first-degree murder and concealment of a body.
Although limited information has been released about the case (e.g. motive and cause of death); Testimony presented during McCauleyβs preliminary hearing in June indicated that Crossmanβs last words to her boyfriend, via text message sent shortly after 11pm, were that McCauley was in her bedroom and that she was scared. She attempted video call her boyfriend at 5:40 AM (the boyfriend was asleep and misses the call). Shortly after that her phone was turned off.
Investigators did reveal that McCauley during the hour of 3-4 AM called Riley's phone several times. He used *67 to block his number.
When Rileys mother Chantel woke up that morning she checked in on Riley. She was not in her bedroom and figured she'd already walked to school. At 3:30 PM that day the school called to report her missed classes.
McCauley was the only serious suspect. He had also been under surveillance after Riley's disappearance. Hours after her body was discovered he was arrested. McCauley criminal record includes assault and burglary.

Watching this trial today was like watching a Netflix series! Poor little girl in the middle of this dysfunctional mess of a family. Does anyone know if the DA will offer a motive of any sort?

So Iβve seen a lot of people posting questions about where to find the other McCauley kids other than Emma. This is a bit of an Easter egg, where the game never directly says it, but in case you guys havenβt figured it out, they are all the same child.
At one point when the vicar is drinking in 1977 you can talk to him and he says βthree souls live in the body of my granddaughter, Emma. But I love them like they are all my grandchildrenβ (probably wording/phrasing is slightly different).
It just seems like no one has noticed this based on posts and comments! So you wonβt ever see them all out at the same time. They come out different days of the week.
Iβm not sure if Emma is just a kid with a big imagination, or if the game is hinting at her having Dissociative Identity Disorder. Which either way, itβs a really fun and cool element for the game to incorporate! If she does have DID, itβs nice to see some non negative representation of it in the media for once!

So, we all know that Karen was safe from pale people when she was with Mickey. When Mickey forced her to take a pill they left her alone. Can someone explain why she fed on Mickey and was actually satisfied from him? Considering the fact mickey didnβt smell appetizing to the gray people why would Mickey be of anything to Karen?
