I made my second wallet today. It’s definitely better than the first from over the weekend, but I see that the edges are still not perfect when cutting which results in crooked stitching lines when marking with the divider. It's been a while guys! Just in case anybody was looking for a flat marking knife. Cutting edge rises above surface only for 0.3 mm so it's close enough to be treated like makring tool + minor cutoffs. A well-made knife found in a salvage store that the mate gave me for Christmas. Steel is very hard - took some effort to restore the edge. Wood grips are beautifully fitted so seems a good quality knife. We plan to use it in the kitchen. Any clue as to the markings?

I found this J Nowill & Sons F-S knife for cheap at an antique shop and was wondering if anyone could date it. The only markings are the ones seen on the grip. Also came without a sheath. Any info would be appreciated.
Triangle/delta (green) on forehead, possible knife through head? Small gold charm, looks like ring was added later. Only marking on back is old, hand-done initials of "G.H.W."

Marking knife
I’ve used everything from just a pencil to an exacting / utility knife to a small pocket knife. I’d like to get a good marking knife to use instead. Is there really that big of a difference? The ones I’ve seen online are a mix and I just don’t know what to pick. Some seem really cheap and others too expensive. I don’t want one of the “make your own” kits as I don’t have the skill or tooling to do that just yet. Thoughts?
I saw a post about a very similar knife about a week ago, and decided to dig this one out. It was part of a small collection I picked up a while back that still hasn't been cleaned up. Maybe the extra markings on this one can be useful for identifying other knives like it?
