A list of puns related to "FairbairnβSykes fighting knife"
Hey guys,
Does anyone know if I can get this knife on any of the chinese sites? photo
Despite searching on line I can find very little regarding the actual construction of these knives.
Hey all,
Iβm looking for a Fairbairn-Sykes knife. I believe they were originally issued to British commandos in WWII and were highly used and effective to a point (see what I did there). Iβm a military history buff and Iβve recently become an admirer of knives of all kinds and those who make their own (absolutely lovely workmanship from posts Iβve seen here btw!).
Iβve tried looking online and havenβt found much beyond articles on the history behind it.
Does anyone know where I can pick one up?
Are there any custom knife makers or small shops making the Fairbairn Sykes knife? I want one, but I'd rather support a small shop than a major company. Thanks!
Eric Sykes was a weapons expert in the British Army during and after WW1. He developed the Fairbairn Sykes knife.
Mark Sykes has forever shaped the world with his ever famous βSykes-Picotβ agreement.
Both are close in age and served in the British Military.
Were they related?
