SPOILERS AHEAD! The movie was phenomenal with so many call backs to past films and it was the perfect fan service film and I wish it was longer. I hope we get to see Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire Spider-Man again somewhere down the line. One gripe I had was how stupid Sandman was in this movie and how he really had no motivation for being against Spider-Man really but of course they had to have shades of the Sinister Six somehow (kinda makes sense to me now and is actually a faithful rendition of the character, man of few words). I also wish that Mysterio had shown up again as a villain. I love how each character got to say lines from the past and the movie was over all very funny and entertaining. Some of my favorite quips were Doctor Octopus saying the power of the Sun in the palm of my hands the Green Goblin saying I'm something of a scientist myself, and Tobey Maguire's Peter Parker complaining about his back problems. I also love how Andrew Garfield Spider-Man got a second chance to save a Spider-Man love interest from falling to her death. This was such a beautiful movie and I can't believe they actually showed the spider sense like how it is depicted in the comics in a live-action film. I marked out so many times and I was paying attention to everything. I even noticed that on that van they had a tribute to Steve Ditko as they graffiti his name on the side of it. The fact that they had Aunt May say the "with great power, there also must come great responsibility" line straight out of the comics gave me chills! And the fact that they had the Classic Spiderman costume color scheme at the end! This movie was totally awesome and I can't wait to watch it 100 more times! This was a trip down nostalgia ave straight into memory lane!

A lot of people say that this suit is very similar to the suits already in the game so it's not worth adding it but the new two NHW suit are basically variations of the FFH suit so I think I would have no problem adding the TASM2 suit. Ever since Spider-Man: No Way Home was announced to have Jamie Foxx as Electro, nobody would've assumed that other villains from previous Spider-Man movies would reappear, but after Alfred Molina was confirmed to play Doctor Octopus again, fans thought that more villains from previous Spider-Man films were confirmed essentially. They would be correct, as the Sandman from Spider-Man 3 and the Lizard from The Amazing Spider-Man were confirmed in the early shots of the first trailer. But my excitement got really high when I heard an evil cackle and saw an orange and green bomb land on the ground. I instantly knew the Green Goblin would be in this film. But we got our first real look at him in the second trailer, showing off not only the costume the character wore in the first Spider-Man movie from 2002, but also a short glimpse at a new look the character would receive. But it wasn't until I saw the movie that I knew that the Green Goblin would be as good as he was in the comics and the 2002 movie. Surprisingly enough, he was just as perfect as he was in the 2002 movie, if not better. But why? Why is the Green Goblin, a character that debuted almost 20 years ago, still one of the best villains in a franchise of 27 movies that has tons of villains? THE REDESIGN:

Fans and critics hated the original costume the Green Goblin sported in the 2002 movie, especially considering the original prototype mask with animatronic features was replaced with a mask with a grinning expression. I strongly disagree, as the mask gives a feeling of danger and it is meant to frighten you, which is what it did for me. Do your worst!

In the Spider-man: NWH trailer on YouTube, at the 2:22 mark, we see Electro, Sandman, and Lizard leaping towards Tom Holland's Spider-man. Or do we?

Sandman and Tom Holland seem to be clearly face to face. But Electro and Lizard do not seem to be leaping towards Tom Holland, but rather seem to be going parallel to Sandman, looking straight.

Marvel has the habit of deleting key plot points from the trailer to avoid spoiler. So, maybe they have deleted what they seem to be attacking.

Question is, what got deleted?

We already see Doc Oc, Green Goblin, and Dr. Strange in the trailer, so there is no point in deleting them.

Another possibility (what everyone wants it to be) is that Tobey and Andrew are indeed in this frame, and they have been deleted. And considering the set photos (and video?) that have got leaked featuring them, the scaffolding seems to be a similar setting too.

Marvel, Tom Holland, Benedict Cumberbatch, and Andrew Garfield have all downplayed the 3 spidey theory and fan expectation around it. And on top of that, (#spoiler)Venom has arrived in this universe too, and a scene from Morbius shows him walking past the Spidey graffiti calling him a "Murderer".

So, can THEY be the two allies for Tom Holland? Or do you think we are going to relive our dream by manifesting the three spideys together?

I think the chances for both scenarios is 50-50 for me. What do you think???

3 Spideys or Venom and Morbius

So! MCU Spider-Man, we love him, some hate him, others are indifferent, and a small minority make up complete BS about him. Cough, Hitop Films, Cough. The MCU Spider-Man is divisive to say the least, and there are fair reasons to not like him over others, personally i prefer Andrew's take on the character, Then Tom's, Then Tobey's (yeah, i know shoot me) but, there's a huge thing people say about him that is, just wrong? like they have completely misunderstood this take on the character?

Anyway, time to try and defend this character, get downvoted into oblivion and cry myself to sleep.

And that's the "Iron Boy Jr" argument, and if you use it you should really rewatch these films, because its the worst argument ever. YES, this version is Iron Man's protégé, he was being trained and taught how to be a better hero By Iron Man, at the start of Homecoming he WAS Iron Boy Jr, but watch the movie, his entire arc is to not rely on Tony.

In Homecoming Peter starts the movie of in full gear, confident and obsessed with making sure Tony is happy with his hero work, making sure that he's putting more focus into his "internship" than anything else, like hobbies. He wants to be Iron Man, and you see him heavily relying on the tech he has from Tony, but then the Ferry scene happens and he loses his suit, right then is the start of his arc in this movie, he goes through the same lesson Tony had to in Iron Man 3, a very valuable lesson, "If you're nothing without this suit, then you shouldn't have it."

Peter in homecoming learnt that he doesn't have to rely on Tony's tech, he stops being Iron Boy Jr by the end of the film after he has single handily taken down Vulture in his hoodie and sweatpants, with no tech other than his mark 1 web shooters. Peter learnt that even without Tony, he is a hero, he doesn't need outside help, he learns that he is Spider-Man, Not Iron Boy.

And yet people somehow didn't understand this arc!? what!? It was so obvious this was his arc, I understood it at 13 and yet there are adults out there who haven't!? Jeez

But yeah the Iron Boy Jr was only a thing at the start of Homecoming, its like the people who said that saw iron man at the ferry and walked out, "we don't want none crossovers in our shared universe" They say, after loving civil war, which was more of an Avengers 2.5 than Captain America movie.

And what about Far From Home I hear you say? he was Iron Boy Jr here too? No, no he wasn't.

Let's face it Tobey is beyond Spidey and I know as am actor he crqves bigger and more Oscar worthy films. Not to say he doesn't love the role. But as a character even Tobeys spidey hit all the marks. Doc Ock, Goblin, Venom, 3 huge spidey landmarks.

if and a HUGE if they make SM4. There's only so much more to solve without just opening more questions to Tobeys story.

Tl:dr: Tobeys character has completed his arc. It's time to let Garfieod hopefully get his.

Watched EFAP 161. Good show but Fringy and Mauler said some stuff that just ain't true in regards to spidey when they responded to a post here.

First off Fringy is just wrong when he says 616 wasn't consistent. There were 700 issues of the OG Amazing Spider man run. I've read a hair over 600. He is the same character throughout with well developed arc's through the times but at the core Peter is always Peter. Fringy said "what if my adaptation of spidey is the arc where he was rich and in charge of his company". I read that arc. Peter Parker's personality is the same which is the whole point. Sure the circumstances that he lives in are different but as a person he is still Peter. I'm assuming he hasn't read the comic because that claim struck me as odd. Peter personality wise he the same person in that arc written by Dan Slott from start to finish. Fringy also mentioned the clone saga. That whole storyline is bloated with lots of batshit crazy stuff happening but Peter Parker is still Peter Parker in it despite the crazy stuff. Fans who do not like the clone saga dislike it because one, it feels very bloated ,overlong and the editors kept it going forever. Two, because at the time the reception to the Ben Riley character initially was mixed. Again I feel like Fringy doesn't seem to even know the basics of the clone saga.

Mauler then said the definitive spidey is just what people like the most. That is just factually incorrect. In universe 616 is the main marvel universe. Any comic not set in 616 they will literally mark as an alternate world. There have been multiverse events where celestial beings note how 616 is the core of all the various universes and hold everything together. It is factually the main one. Peter Parker who we first met in Amazing Fantasy #15 1962 is the main Spider-Man. Always has been and probably always will be. Mauler then pivoted to a Dracula reference. He said what if people are arguing who is the main dracula. Bella Lugosi, Christopher Lee (Love Bella but Lee the GOAT), or the Bram Stoker Dracula. His analogy does not work. With Dracula these are all different versions and adaptations of Stoker's novel. They are not connected. Marvel is a multiverse. The MCU exists in the comics as well and is listed as like earth 546 or something like that. Mauler says he find's it strange when people say Holland is not spider-man. Do you guys think Andrew and Tobey will each get a 3rd and 4th movie of their own? Even if it's direct to streaming? The way they spoke in the film about their own lives opens up many more questions about their characters, Tobey mentioning that him and MJ essentially worked through their problems and lived as close to happily ever after as a spidey can. Andrew mentioned that after Gwen died he became Rageful, stopped holding back his punches, and essentially became like The Last Stand Spider-Man for a time, which we also never witnessed in the Amazing movies. And to top all of these off, both Sam Raimi and Danny Elfman are returning for Multiverse of Madness. Maybe if Raimi does well with Dr. Strange they'll Green light a spider-man 4? Also Mark Webb was brought on as a consultant along with Sam Raimi for No Way Home, so maybe we can get the direct closing films for each of these spider-men, for closure, and to see what each spider-man has been up to for the last 8-15 years?

Overall imma give it a 8/10 But to me it’s a really good 7/10. To put in perspective. I think that No Way Home is on the same level as Far From Home. I see them as around the same level of quality. There is a LOT to live about this movie and I’m gonna rank them here

What I loved •Every actor went out of their way to make it their best movie. Especially Goblin and Tom Holland

• Half of the villains were great. The madman’s did it. They made Electro a good villain. Same with Goblin. Willer Dafoe is the best Spider-Man villain after this. It is decided.

•The other Peter Parkers. I loved the scene where Andrew popped Tobey’s back that was amazing

•The sound design on sandman

•The final battle on the Statue of Liberty

•ALFRED MOLINA!!

•Showing us how the different spider-men aren’t perfect. It tells us that even though the movies ended. Andrew still had a story. And through this we learn so much about it. We learn that he now has lost a lot of faith in himself and is really bitter.

•Losing Aunt May made me sob

•The scene where Andrew saved MJ giving him closure to failing Gwen. Was the best part of the entire movie

Now let’s talk about the weak stuff.

•The other villains. Specifically Lizard and Sandman. Lizard I can see messing up because he is essentially a nothing character. But when you get Thomas Haden Church to come back as Sandman and make him as uninteresting as literal sand. It’s a waste. All we learn about him is that he has a daughter that he wants to see. We already knew that. They go into much more detail and thought about every other villain except sandman. The only reason why he is bad is because “he doesn’t trust anyone.” It just reeks of wasted potential

•All the unnecessary callbacks. I liked it when Willem Dafoe said that “he is something of a scientist myself.” That was great. But A lot of other callbacks to past movies do get a little irritating as the film goes along.

• everything involving Doctor Strange. He straight up disappears around hour mark and we don’t see him again for another hour and a half the marketing straight up lied to you saying that he was going to be a big part of this when he really isn’t. You can’t cut him out of the story in the story it stays the same. He is important to the story. However it feels like the movie is lying to you to you. However the fight scene was him was pretty good, with a call back to the infamous trains fight

Hey guys, just found this subreddit after watching season 5 last night. I was kind of left with a sour taste with that final scene (and it seems like I’m not the only one obviously). I actually never felt so sour about something from a show before hahaha. I mean I even knew it was going to happen going off by seasons 4 ending but still I think actually confirming it hit harder hahaha.

Anyways I started reflecting on what the writers might be doing here. I mean it’s obvious it’s a communication thing with the couple, but in terms of why is this important to the overall story. I read some where on this sub that every kid besides Kate has accepted to stop idolizing Jack and to accept him with the imperfections he has. Kate hasn’t and I think the problem is the reason why Kate’s and Toby’s relationship was doomed from the start.

I always felt like Toby reminded me of Jack. Toby is more quirky but his overall heart is similar to Jack’s and that’s not necessarily a good thing. Despite Tobey doing his best to make Kate happy, there are a lot of times that Tobey keeps his mouth shut, thinking it’s for the betterment of Kate. Going to the gym, not being honest with his feelings on baby jack and how he is currently miserable being a stay at home dad. He does it to protect Kate and her feelings. Which is the exact same thing that Jack would do with Rebecca and even Kate. You can see that in season 5 that Kate idolized not her only dad but their parents relationship and how a man should treat his wife (the reason she decided to leave Mark for good).

While what Jack and Tobey did for Kate might have good intentions it’s not what Kate needs. Jack complained about Rebecca being to soft on Kevin but I think Jack didn’t realize he was emotionally soft with Kate either.

This is why it’s so hard for Kate to accept open communication because her dad and her parents relationship had a foundation of Jack being this emotional “wall”. Jack would keep quiet or bend the knee on what he emotionally wanted to make his Wife and kids happy (this is trait that Zoey had picked up on Kevin too).

Because of this the Pearson family have idolized this trait of Jack being good when it can also be damaging. i believe this is a trait that Kate looks for in a partner subconsciously.

I think Kate found qualities of this trait in Tobey, and kind of made me rethink that episode of Kate and Toby’s wedding. In that episode she it made more about her father than Toby. I forget the scene exact
