A list of puns related to "Malayan"
Hello everyone and welcome to another Dev Diary for Upcoming Missions Expanded Update "Suvarnadvipa"!
Previously we had taken a look at the Malayan missions for trade and conquest - go check it out here.
Today we will do the two and the only religious branches - Muslim and Hindu.
As per the usual, I will mostly highlight the interesting missions.

Now, I won't hide it here - there is a pretty obvious bias towards Mysticism in the mission tree. Indeed, the syncretic nature of the islam in Indonesia left me to push the player towards the weaker branch of the religion.
As such many mission rewards will be stronger for Mysticism as opposed to Legalism, here's an event from the mission Promote Scholars:

The Religious mission also feature evolving modifiers, but on a lesser scale.

Let's talk a little bit about the Hindu branch now :-)
Let's begin with the mission titled "Secure Holy Sites" which is quite different from the usual conquest mission, as it can also be completed by essentially supporting and allying hindu countries in India and letting them conquer.
