A list of puns related to "Mainstay"
So, all the way back in 2019, Lizzoβs songs finally gained prominence, shooting her to stardom. Truth Hurts, Juice, and Good as Hell were some of the biggest and most inescapable songs of the year besides Old Town Road and Bad Guy.
However, Lizzo the singer has kinda faded out of the publicβs eye. Even after releasing Rumors with Cardi, it didnβt make any waves and wasnβt a big hit. And it doesnβt seem that the GP remember Lizzo as much, as she hasnβt had a hit since then.
So, the question is, will Lizzo become an integral part of the music industry, or will she fade into obscurity, only to be remembered by βBest of 2010sβ playlists on Apple Music or Spotify? Or will Lizzo retain her fame as a celebrity, not a songwriter?
Where do you think Lizzo will go from here?
#Please make Drifter gameplay mainstay
I really hope it isnβt just me, but god damn I loved the Drifter gameplay segment. Most of modern Warframe gameplay is just bulletjumping 20 feet over enemies heads and nuking them from orbit over and over, where the difficulty is just how many more 0βs get added to enemy armour values. The Drifter gameplay however, it felt refreshing and new. If it never gets added as a way to play, I might just repeatedly play the quest over and over, whenever we get the option to replay it.
For those looking at 'lifeboat rations', i.e. compact food bars with a 5 year shelf life, there's a few notable choices, such as Datrex, SOS, and Mainstay.
Recently I decided to give the Mainstay product a try; online reviews suggested it had a decent flavor and I preferred the vitamin & mineral content it offers compared to the competition.
Since I haven't tried other lifeboat rations, my comparisons will be towards the closest competitor I do have experience with: Clif Bars.
PRICE:
Price for the 1200 Calorie pack (3 cubes) as of January 2022 -- $5 at EpicCenter, $5.10 at Rescue Essentials, $9.85 at Amazon.
Clif Bars tend to cost about $1 per bar in my area.
SHELF STABILITY:
I ordered through Rescue Essentials, and in January 2022 the packs I received had a manufacture date of February 2021, meaning I'm only getting 4 years out of a 5 year shelf life. Not thrilled, but I'll live with it.
Clif Bars have a 6 month shelf life, and aren't rated for harsh environmental conditions. Hard to compete with these emergency rations.
SIZE:
The 1200 CAL pack is an elongated rectangle. Each ration is a 2"x2"x1" block, so the pack overall measures about 6"x2"x1" not including the semi-flexible flaps for the vacuum seal package. Each 1200 CAL pack weighs about a half a pound.
I would absolutely not suggest getting the larger 2400 CAL (6 bar) or 3200 CAL (9 bar) packs for any sort of mobility.
A few Clif Bars would be vastly more pack-friendly.
NUTRITION:
Mainstay bars have essentially zero-sodium (1mg), zero-cholesterol, and relatively moderate amounts of sugar (14g / serving). They are loaded with Fat, and especially Saturated Fat.
Clif Bars have 25%-50% more sugar (17-21g), and do have notable sodium content (140-300mg). However, they also have triple the protein (9g) and double the dietary fiber (4g).
Mainstay wipes the floor with its vitamin and mineral content. 50% Vitamin D compared to Clif's 8%. 60% Vitamin C compared to 6%. 100% Pantothenic Acid (B5) compared to... 0%.
Clif relies heavily on soy content while Mainstay is basically just Flour, Vegetable Shortening (soybean-derived), Sugar, and Corn Syrup. Not exactly a healthy recipe, but I really don't like the soy content of Clif Bars. Then again, that's where the protein comes from.
... keep reading on reddit β‘I remember my first time DMing was running the trial module for a few of my friends, it was my first time DMing and we were having alot of fun with it. They found droop the goblin who I thought they would just murder hobo outright, but instead they saved droop and brought him with them on all their adventures,
That was 6 years ago and since then droop has showed up in every campaign since, sometimes as a shopkeeper, sometimes as a level 20 wizard and sometimes as a barkeep but we always know droop is gonna show up in our campaigns at least once
I can't wait for the 7 star BANGERS we will seen between Ember Moon(slave name) and Toni Storm(slave name) on YouTube.
So a while ago I was watching That Blasted Salamis video on Tekken character archetype. I noticed he listed Cluadio listed as "space control" and that just didn't sit well with me. Fantastic video nonetheless.
Starburst gives him access to new moves or buffs to his current moves and I would have listed him as a "buff character". I'd like to see more of this archetype in the future because I feel like this may be the closest we get to a charge character in Tekken and overall I just find it very interesting. I feel we're only scraping the possibilities with this type of gimmick
I theorize Starburst was heavily inspired SoulCaliburs Hilde charge mechanic. She either holds one button to charge her short sword or one button to charge her spear and when the attack lands she gains buffs to that weapon which allows access to new moves, moves properties change and more combo possibilities. Sounds kinda familiar, huh?
What do you guys think? Is this going to be next be Tekkens next great archetype?
I get that each new generation tries to introduce new mechanics into the game that change up how we interact with our pokemon, but the Poke Pelago felt like perfect in what it offered to the player.
It provided a fun and easily accessible way to interact with pokemon you would otherwise have stored in your boxes. You could increase friendship with them, have them train to increase their stats, or just watch them hang out with other pokemon on the island. There are a lot of pokemon that I really enjoy the designs of and would like to use them, but they just arent viable in the later parts of the game, and this gave me a way to cycle through older pokemon without dooming them to a box and never thinking about them again.
No only that, but the Poke Pelago had a ton of useful features that simplified mechanics that were a lot more tedious in past games. Such as -
Sometimes rare wild pokemon could appear on one of the islands and want to join your team.
You could send them on exploration missions to gather rare items that are harder to find in the overworld, and had options for which missions you wanted to go on if you were targeting a specific kind of item.
Eggs could be placed on one of the islands and they would eventually hatch, instead of them needing to take up space in your party.
It made the process of planting and growing berries a lot faster and easier. After a while I had stocked up on so many citrus berries and leppa berries that I no longer needed to buy healing items from the pokemart.
Transitioning to Sword and Shield, they didn't even try to replicate any of these features. We got the third iteration of Amie/Refresh/Camp and that was about it. We no longer have a way to interact with box pokemon, or a way to hatch eggs without carrying them in your party. Berries can not be grown at all anymore, and have to be found on trees. Even going to BDSP and having berry patches just feels so tedious now. Finding rare items has been delegated to an overworld NPC, which is nice, but it costs points to use now.
What irks me even more is that Pokemon Home would have been a great substitute for Poke Pelago too. There is no reason these features couldn't have been implemented, and it would really feel more like a "home" if we had more ways to interact with them.
I get RRR has a better chance to get the specific character you want, but I like the random chance of getting any and every character there is personally. Just me or is it anyone else who feels this way.
Week 5? 10? 15? Never? At what point does cutting them (despite being at 80%+ ownership for example) actually provide dividends for you rather than echoing "it's just a slump, they'll find their game soon"?
As per the title. Is there a reason or can we come up with a justification?
I am asking because many mechanics are based on how these stuff work and interlink with each other like in our world, in order to give a diverse and challenging tactical and srategical picture. So irl aircrafts and missiles became the main strike systems due to technological developments that seems to have also occured in the setting of the game.
Smiter only works on the first target you hit(and generally works best on monsters, when there is no assassin, since they don't get staggered often), Mainstay is more horde-clearing.
But Smiter's icon suggests a slash that cleaves through multiple targets while Mainstay's only depicts one.
Should they be swapped?
