A list of puns related to "Leyland Brothers"
Did anyone else grow up in NSW in the early 2000s, and go to SCHOOL CAMP and some run down, really run down Funland, or Leyland brothers or something!? walking across the rickety bridges and playing flying fox and rock climbing and stuff?? And you ate in a mess tent? Everything seemed really really passed its time of being inspected for safe use. I was so petrified!
Do your worst!
It really does, I swear!
For context I'm a Refuse Driver (Garbage man) & today I was on food waste. After I'd tipped I was checking the wagon for any defects when I spotted a lone pea balanced on the lifts.
I said "hey look, an escaPEA"
No one near me but it didn't half make me laugh for a good hour or so!
Edit: I can't believe how much this has blown up. Thank you everyone I've had a blast reading through the replies π

Hai all, I had posted this in the weekly discussion thread. Due to lack of response i am reposting it here. I would like to buy few shares with a capital of 2-3 lakhs for my brother's pf. I am looking for few new entries. Due to my concerns of rising inflations and market uncertainty, I am worried if I am not at a good moment to make new entries. I have done small researches and shortlisted few companies, but not sure if its a right time to enter. All your responses will be considered valuable. Thanks. Also I think i made a right choice by putting this here rather than making a separate post.
Please do help me to create a good pf by letting me know how much quantity(in %) i should allocate. I am also thinking if i should wait for few months so that the market correct a bit to get a perfect entry, but still that is very uncertain and we can't be sure of anything.
Thank you for your time.
Buenosdillas

Dad jokes are supposed to be jokes you can tell a kid and they will understand it and find it funny.
This sub is mostly just NSFW puns now.
If it needs a NSFW tag it's not a dad joke. There should just be a NSFW puns subreddit for that.
Edit* I'm not replying any longer and turning off notifications but to all those that say "no one cares", there sure are a lot of you arguing about it. Maybe I'm wrong but you people don't need to be rude about it. If you really don't care, don't comment.
When I got home, they were still there.
What did 0 say to 8 ?
" Nice Belt "
So What did 3 say to 8 ?
" Hey, you two stop making out "
I won't be doing that today!
I wanted to highlight this to show how baseball has changed from a narrative driven sport to a statistics driven sport, and why a lot of older baseball fans do not like things like Ian Anderson getting pulled in the World Series with a no hitter going despite throwing less than 80 pitches. It's not just resistance to change, it's that they are watching a completely different sport in a way.
In 1997, Livan Hernandez was not good in the World Series by any statistical measure. In his game 5 win, he had 8 walks to only 2 strikeouts with a home run. He still won the MVP, largely driven by narrative. And that was okay, because the narrative was so good.
At that point Hernandez was a rookie, having just defected from Cuba late in the year. The Cubans were getting more and more defectors to baseball in the US, so they were really clamping down on allowing people to leave. Livan's family was prevented from going to the US to watch his games, particularly his brother Orlando who had been banned from baseball altogether in Cuba at this point because of his status as a likely defector. Due to injuries and poor performances from other pitchers, Hernandez had stepped in as the Game 1 starter for Florida after not being in the postseason rotation until late in the NLCS. His family was not only not able to attend the games, they could not even watch them on television as the Cuban government blocked the broadcasts. At best they were able to listen on the radio.
I want to highlight Game 5 in particular to show how narrative led to this win - Hernandez by the third inning of Game 5 had allowed 6 walks and 4 runs, including a 3 run homerun. In 2021, he's long out of the game. But the manager Jim Leyland stuck with him, and he then proceeded to quickly get through innings 4-8 without a run against him while Florida pounded Cleveland's frankly terrible pitching staff. The narrative was that Hernandez showed real courage to overcome his visible anger at his poor performance and deliver a crucial win to his team on the way to winning the World Series.
Was he the most deserving player of the MVP? Of course not, but he was the most fascinating and had by far the most to overcome to get to the point where he did enough to have his team win both those games.
I just feel like in modern baseball, these stories are getting buried more and more under advanced statistics. We're losing the fans, writers and broadcasters who care about baseball soul and baseball narratives for a much
