A list of puns related to "Langouste"
Itโs traditionally made with local rock lobster, though any kind of lobster will do
for this dish, as will langoustines, shrimp, or even scallops.

Ingredients
Instructions
Light a grill. (Alternatively, warm a 12-inch cast-iron grill pan over medium-high
heat.) Using a heavy cleaver or chefโs knife, split the lobsters in half lengthwise
then scoop out and reserve the tomalley, or egg sac, if present. Drizzle the lobster
flesh with the olive oil and grill, flesh-side down, until slightly charred, about 5 minutes.
Flip the lobster halves over and continue cooking until the lobsters are tender,
3 to 5 minutes more.
Meanwhile, melt the butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the shallots
and cook, stirring, until soft, 2 to 3 minutes. Add the wine and vanilla pod and
seeds and cook, stirring, until reduced by half, about 3 to 4 minutes.
Stir in the cream and simmer for 2 minutes longer. Season the sauce with salt
and pepper then spoon over the lobster and top with the [tomalley] (http://maine-lobster.com/lobster-tomalley-green-stuff ), if using.

ยป
One can infer that les pensรฉes de crabe ou de langouste aren't pleasant thoughts, but how might they be more specifically translated/understood? (I suspect that crabe is related to the English "crabby")
The funeral director was asking us what we think Mum should wear in her casket.
Mum always loved to wear sarongs (fabric wraps that go around the torso and drape downward a bit like a long skirt would), so my uncle suggested that she wear a sarong in there.
The funeral director looked a bit confused, as did some of our family members, to which my uncle added:
"What's sarong with that?"
I started laughing like an idiot. He was proud of it too. The funeral director was rather shocked. We assured her, and our more proper relatives, that Mum would've absolutely loved the joke (which is very true).
His delivery was perfect. I'll never forget the risk he took. We sometimes recall the moment as a way help cushion the blows of the grieving process.
--Edit-- I appreciate the condolences. I'm doing well and the worst is behind me and my family. But thanks :)
--Edit-- Massive thanks for all the awards and kind words. And the puns! Love 'em.

True story; it even happened last night. My 5-year-old son walks up behind me and out of the blue says, "hey."
I turn to him and say, "yeah, kiddo? What's up?"
He responds, "it's dead grass."
I'm really confused and trying to figure out what's wrong and what he wants from me. "What? There's dead grass? What's wrong with that?"
.
.
.
He says, totally straight-faced, "hay is dead grass," and runs off.
Hi everyone! I randomly noticed earlier this week that Olivia has 25 ten minute core classes and thought it was the perfect number for a challenge. Enough people in the daily thread seemed interested, so I put together a checklist image with all the classes.
The classes start with Olivia's oldest and work forward to the most recent. We'll be start this Monday (2/1) and the challenge will run for 5 weeks with 5 classes per week.
Here's the checklist image (with color options!) and a spreadsheet to enter your info & track your progress! If you use the image on IG, please tag me so I can see your progress & follow you. I've also added a column to the tracking worksheet for IG name. Feel free to ignore it, but I'd love to follow more people on there.
No pressure to start with us on Monday if that doesn't work for you. The tracking image is intended to be used on any timeline.
Everyone who has expresses interest is tagged below and populated in the tracking spreadsheet. 25 people and counting. So excited to start with you all on Monday!
