at first the drama with madison/arod/jay cutler and kristen/austen/craig was interesting, but now it's annoying. i literalyl dont care. they're all friends and that's it. why do people keep going back to this like it's ground breaking drama.
also i didn't watch the hills or the OC so maybe i just really don't care about these people which is why i am not interested.
edit: i love these comments and i love you people.
You guys are amazing. Some FBI level detective shit on this sub about jax and kristin. I just finished a total re-watch. It's been one thing after the other and them having an ongoing affair makes SO MUCH sense. They seem to defend each other / get mad at each other about the most random stuff but IT MAKES SENSE. I just watched the season 8 reunion and kristin jumps in and defends jax against charli and its just the nail in the coffin. I can't unsee it now.
Soβ¦β¦ they continue to hang out and post it on Instagram. Part of me is here for the drama and the petty bullshit. BUTβ¦β¦. Part of me is like come the f onβ¦.. they all do it for attention, all the gossip blogs and to get their exes attention. You all are not over your past relationships at all β¦. I dunno. Just annoyed, a little buzzed and rambling
The civil attorney for Kristin Smart's family is suing Ruben Flores for emotional damages in connection to the Cal Poly student's 1996 disappearance.
Flores is the father of Paul Flores, who has been charged with Kristin's murder. Ruben is charged as an accessory, accused of helping Paul hide Kristin's body.
On Thursday, James Murphy, the Smart family's attorney, filed an intentional infliction of emotional distress lawsuit against Ruben Flores less than 24 hours after he was released on bail.
In the lawsuit, Murphy alleges "Ruben Flores and Doe defendants 1 and 2 worked through the night, under the cover of darkness, to remove the remains of Kristin Smart to avoid having those remains at 710 White Ct. in the event of an additional search of the property."
In an interview, Murphy tells KSBY News that witnesses saw Ruben Flores, Susan Flores and her boyfriend, Mike McConville, (named as Doe defendants 1 and 2 in the lawsuit) working under Ruben's house during the night on or around February 9, 2020. That's just a few days after investigators served a search warrant at Ruben's Arroyo Grande home.
From there, Murphy said there is "compelling evidence" that Kristin's remains were removed from Ruben's property and scattered in the Huasna area.

Iβm rewatching Laguna Beach, on season 1. My first time watching it ever was years ago, I was so #TeamLauren and still is to this day. I think I can speak for a lot of us. Lauren is a really sweet & naturally pretty girl, who had a crush on a childhood friend that was in a on and off again relationship. Yea the show introduces Kristen as Stephen girlfriend but rewatching it now... you really couldnβt tell when they were on and when they were off. Yes Stephen might flirt with Lauren sometimes but Kristin was sending Stephen mixed signals from calling different boys (her other crushes) and flirting with the guys in front of Stephen. Stephen was too soft to even speak up! To this day I still donβt understand why he was head over heels in love with her. Kristin often times took advantage of the fact that she knew Stephen wasnβt going to check her about the things she does. Can you even blame Lauren for being confused about their relationship? For Kristin, Stephen was more of the guy that she liked and had a title with but really didnβt want to be with in the long run.
P.S this is one of the only shows that gives me early 2000s nostalgia. I think thatβs why I always come back to this show. Simpler times the world before iPhones and social media
No doubt in my mind Paul killed Kristin, but I have been wondering how difficult it may have been for Paul to get Kristin back into his dorm room without being seen. Realizing now that events like Kristin's disappearance would have possibly lead to changes in how college's operated dorm check-ins/entrance security, but most dorms on my college campus had a single main entrance that was staffed by an RA or a security guard 24/7. Freshman dorms went as far as to have you check in your visitors... What was the situation like at Paul's dorm in 1996?
Kristin posted on her Instagram (https://www.instagram.com/p/CQL1zw-JPuY/?hl=en) that she made it to the US and is set to play in Worlds and several other events. Can't wait to see her battle it out with Paige.
I decided to make this post due to the recent arrest of Paul Flores and his father.
There's been a lot of speculation about the location of Kristin's body over the years, mostly centered on the multiple Flores properties.
Personally, I think that since they had 25 years to dispose of her remains, they're most likely not on their property, even if they were at one time.
Something interesting from the Your Own Backyard podcast was how cagey Ruben was about his work routes. At the time, he serviced payphones all over the area. He wouldn't answer questions about any specifics like which rural areas he visited. That seems very odd to me. He was also just as vague when speaking about the vehicles they owned at the time and a truck was supposedly stolen not long after she disappeared.
Perhaps the stories of all the concrete being poured and the watch heard in the ground by a tenant are just red herrings. Maybe she was never on any of their properties and is somewhere no one has even considered.
Sadly, I'm not sure they'll ever find her. The Flores have no reason to cooperate or give that up. They're in too deep now and too stubborn. I imagine they'll take this to trial. UNLESS, authorities have some really great evidence which I suppose is possible.
So, where do you think her body is?

Edit: The link above mentions this quote from the DA, "We have evidence where we believe thereβs a location where Ms. Smart was taken".
The article implies this means they know where her remains ARE. I took this mean they know where she WAS at one point. If that's the case, and they authorities are correct, then this does point to the body being on one of their properties at one time.
I got to say, i haven't watch the show since the fifth or fourth episode... i must say, this show sucks. I tolerated season 1 because i watch it like "where they are now" show. But season 2 wasn't needed at all or they should have made season 2 with a whole new cast. But i was interest to see season 2 only because the show hinted at a Kristin return but after watching the 4 first episodes i'm tired. All i wanted to see is the three OG hillies: Kristin, Audrina and Heidi. And why not with Whitney.
SLO Sheriff posted to twitter and instagram (SLOSheriff on both): "Sheriff Ian Parkinson will be discussing major developments in the investigation into the disappearance of Kristin Smart."
Your Own Backyard, the podcast that brought this case back to life, posted a ringing alarm clock to instagram (yourownbackyardpodcast) with the caption "24 years, 10 months, 2 weeks and 5 days".
Kristin Smart went missing in 1996 after walking home from a party at CalPoly University. Another college student that walked with her that night was long referred to as a βperson of interestβ- and recently has been officially named the βprime suspectβ, with the SLO Sheriff's Office conducting recent searches/digs at the suspect's parents' home.
Update: Paul Flores and his father have both been taken into custody. The Sheriff's office is back at the family home with another search warrant- they are digging and cutting up the deck to gain access underneath it. Your Own Backyard Podcast is live-streaming at the home and answering questions on instagram.
Update 2: The press conference will be live-streamed on the SLO Sheriff's FB and Instagram at 2 PST.
Update 3: The father, Ruben, has been booked as an accessory with a 250k bond (thanks u/garbagemanmark!)
Update 4: Paul Flores has been charged with murder (thanks, u/wangomangotango!)
Update 5: Search warrants were sealed so it won't be made public what evidence was found at this time, but the Sheriff specifically stated that they did not find Kristin
Updates 6: SLO Sheriff gave credit multiple times to Chris Lambert, the host of Your Own Backyard podcast for helping bring national attention to the case and drawing in new information/tips
