Yaar , I went off political Reddit for a few months and now that I'm back, I've realised that chodi and the Indian right is in a very bad condition. I have a few things to discuss , might add more later.

1- more active moderation: will talk about this later.

2- obvious troll or satire accounts : the Indian right has a very bad habit of confusing troll accounts with actual ones. For instance , there are a few people who obviously are troll accounts cracking jews bad bro or some random conspiracy shit in the name of rw and often reach hot . These people are shitty casteist who also crack homophobic jokes, these type of people must be banned and stopped. They are whackish idiots who are probably trolling and if not then are just plain idiots. And another thing is that these troll accounts also can be the ones who make a hate comment first and then post a screenshot about the same comment on an anti hate sub just to make this sub look bad.

3- Islamophobia and hate - this is a very controversial topic. First of all , I am against jehad but we must also remember not 2 be Islamophobic. Educating urself against jehad is one thing and straight forwardly spreading hate is another thing. There are a few people who I think are mostly trolls but if not, are very hate-filled . They comment nonsense like kill all of them or kick them out of the nation and other stuff which is very bad. Saying that a Muslims are bad is a very wrong and generalised statement. There are many indian Muslims who are very patriotic. Many of the true Indian Muslims are members of RSS, we must remember not to spread hate . I stand against jihad and the jihadi but saying stuff like all muslims bad is very wrong. We must speak against the ideology but not be Islamophobic or just hate all of the muslims. In general I think that speaking positively about violence or hate against any community or religion, be it from any wing is very wrong and it just puts us in a bad light. Face it , without friendly relations and unity between Indians, we might not win back pok and the regions that china is illegally occupying. Speak against jihad and the jihadi but don't do some hateful it whacky stuff ( recently a video went viral with some guy saying that if muslims are not kicked out he will take jal samdhi , this stuff is outrageous and also wrong . And it's also mostly spread by trolls or just elements of the society who are just plain bloodthirsty, these elements must not be entertained)

In the podcast they mentioned that The gang goes Jihad is a intro Episode but I think it might be a bit extreme for people unfamiliar with the premise of it being a satire about the terrible people.

I want to find an episode that shows the gangs dynamic but doesn't rely too much on previous character development or gets too crazy

This time it'll be more technical, "drier" and more analytical and educaional compared to the emotion-filled memoirs and stories from the first part. I hope you'll somehow find inspiration or ideas to make cool things of!

I don't want to step on anybody's toes here, but the amount of non-dad jokes here in this subreddit really annoys me. First of all, dad jokes CAN be NSFW, it clearly says so in the sub rules. Secondly, it doesn't automatically make it a dad joke if it's from a conversation between you and your child. Most importantly, the jokes that your CHILDREN tell YOU are not dad jokes. The point of a dad joke is that it's so cheesy only a dad who's trying to be funny would make such a joke. That's it. They are stupid plays on words, lame puns and so on. There has to be a clever pun or wordplay for it to be considered a dad joke.

For context I'm a Refuse Driver (Garbage man) & today I was on food waste. After I'd tipped I was checking the wagon for any defects when I spotted a lone pea balanced on the lifts.

I believe the lack of it is why so many have poor communication skills and only know how to fight and argue rather than productively converse. A person can say something that, if taken literally, would be terrible. However, if it truly is humor and not a literal statement, then it is benign.

Often, there are situations where someone will say something and a person will take offense, and the reply will be, "Relax, it's a joke." In some situations, it genuinely was a joke and not meant literally at all. In other situations, the person meant it but, after being called out, is now backpedaling with cowardice.

So, how do we tell the difference? Easy. With a sense of humor. If you have one, you can discern which is which pretty easily, even if the person's delivery is dry and deadpan. If you don't have that sense, then everything sounds literal.

It can be compared to those who can see colors versus those who are colorblind. A person who has the visual sense to see colors can immediately detect red from blue from green, etc. It is obvious to them which is which. A colorblind person either has a lot of trouble discerning the differences or simply can't at all. The colors tend to look largely the same to them.

How do you explain the difference to someone who lacks the sense that allows them to tell the difference? One often can't because, to the person lacking the sense, they just don't have a frame of reference, and, to the senses they do have, the joke seems like a statement.
