I can think of a few.
Aztec Jaguars and Eagles: Always felt that the 10% morale bonus they're currently represented as is a bit underwhelming.
Swiss Pikemen: Italian states and obviously switzerland should get the option of recruiting these special infantry units though only in defensive wars. They could get reduced damage and extra morale.
Old Guard Grenadiers: A super elite united that any country undergoing the revolution can recruit.
Medieval 2 has always been a favorite of mine with the Turks being one of my favorite factions. As the Turks I got great use out of JHI killing armored Western footknights. However in my recent game as Venice I had a battle against the Turks where I had to unfortunately send in a unit of dismounted feudal knights into JHI. Looked like a clean charge but my guys still won handily (like 50 remaining out of 120).
So I did some unit testing. If I just charged JHI into DFK I would always win, by a good margin. If I stood and took the charge I would lose, of course. However if I played the DFK and we both charged each other the DFK would usually win.
It seems that under my control the JHI do much better than under the AI. Anyone have insight into this mechanic?
I really want to do a ottoman play through with the jannisaries and everything Iβve seen says that they are either in the dharma or cradle of civilization dlc but Iβve looked through their description and have not seen any mention of the jannisaries. If anyone knows the dlc that has them it would be greatly appreciated.

Which is better? They both have 17 atk, but hc have +10 vs infantry, and are cheaper. Jans have extra hp, but it it worth it for the extra food/gold?

For context I'm a Refuse Driver (Garbage man) & today I was on food waste. After I'd tipped I was checking the wagon for any defects when I spotted a lone pea balanced on the lifts.
