I found these purple jade plants at home Depot or at least they look like Jade plants. Are these succulents just super sick or something or are these the right color??

So my friend bought a house and was gonna toss this beast of a Jade Plant. Saved it! And gave it a new pot - poor guy was very root bound.

My Jade plant looks good mostly but has a few branches that are getting squishy. Iβve been watering it every time the soil dries out. Does it have root rot? Will it die?

Just how big can a jade plant grow? 100 year old jade!
This jade is close to 100 years old. I rescued her about 10 years ago from a bulldozer that was about to dig it up when destroying the very last old ranch home in our subdivision. There used to be a cow that lived in the front yard and the kids in the neighborhood used to feed her carrots on their way to school or the local drug store. I have named her Silverina after the cow.

RIP to my jade plant
So, I got my first jade plant in January as a gift. It was my very first plant so I was super excited. Recently, baby Jade hadn't been doing so well and has died. I'm disappointed, but I have learned a lot. I'm going to get a new one and try again, this time applying everything that I've learned in the past six months.
