Welcome to Iðunn! We are a new bedrock server with quests, a custom currency, custom items, cities to visit and areas to explore! We have a Kingdom system in place and there are currently 4 Kingdoms to join.

Each Kingdom has its own specialty, lore and rules. There's the Cecilian Kingdom, where Queen Rae benevonetly rules. The Coven, where the Witch Queen resides or Elysium, Kingdom of the Gods where Queen DJ watches all. Are you brave enough to venture into the unknown or to start your own Kingdom?

So I found it rather curious that during almost the whole scene with Kang he was eating an apple.

Now at first, I thought it was just the Bad Guy Eats an Apple trope but then another question arose.

How has he survived so long?

Kang seems to have survived for what must have been the entire length of the universe however the thing is. Kang is human. A smart human sure; but still human.

Now sure there are a million and one ways that Kang might have lived this long but what if we were given the answer right from the start?

If you don't know in Norse Mythology the Gods are able to stay young because of the Goddess Iðunns Apples that give eternal youthfulness.

Now obviously the MCU isn't Norse Mythology but it's worth noting that this series protagonist is from Norse Mythology.

And we already saw part of another Norse Myth in Loki's time loop.For those who don't know Loki cutting off Sif's hair is actually the start of The Treasures of The Gods myth which actually tells the origin of Thors Hammer.

Though obviously, it's changed a lot as Thor's Hammer has a different origin in the MCU, Sif here isn't blonde which is a big deal in the myth, and she's not made entirely bald ^(Presumably because that would be a big ask for a cameo)

It does prove that the writers of the series were at the very least aware of the Norse source material as well as the comic one.

Though it is worth noting these apples do appear a few times in the comics. Though there they are gold not green.

That being said it wouldn't be the first time something has changed aesthetically in adaptation to the MCU.

I just thought of a theory that Iðunn could be the free unit purely because IntSys wants to force as many players to play æther raids as possible for the grails.

I know it isn't likely but after seeing quite a large amount of negativity surrounding AR recently (which I understand since I don't play it) I just had this feeling that a character as popular as Iðunn could be their way of trying to get more people to play it.

That's just my two cents though. The free unit will probably be Lugh (or someone else not leaked).

Iðunn’s first basic pushes (knocks) an enemy back, leading in to playful attacks

Passive: Youthful Rejuvenation (Healing / Self and Allies)

Iðunn heals herself from either healing or draining the life from others. When this happens she also has a healing aura to nearby allies.

Active: Apples fall from assist, kills, or her abilities and can be collected for health by herself or allies.

Healing Radius: 15

Healing: 5% of her maximum health over 3s

Pick-up Duration: 7s

1) Apple of Iðunn (Special Area / Everyone)

Iðunn tosses three large apples forward in a cone that sticks to the ground. Each apple deals area damage to enemies and heals allies. This will also free allies from crowd crowd on heal.

If an enemy is hit directly, they will take bonus damage and become a healing beacon. If an enemy god is not hit directly, a gold apple will drop for pickup.

Range: 35 / Radius: 10

*Damage per Apple: 50/90/145/205/280 (+60% of her Physical Power)

I have really been trying to establish a healthy connection with Iðunn, and am wondering if anyone has some good suggestions. So far, all I’ve done is offered up hard cider and mead by pouring them as libations at my apple trees. Any other suggestions?

I am looking for more information of the Norse Goddess Idun. Bellow is my current understanding:

Idun (Iðunn) is known to be the Norse Goddess that gives out the apple of youth to the Norse Gods which kept the Gods youthful and gave them their power.

I would really appreciate any additional information or clarification on the above. I would also really like to hear any stories or legends regarding Idun. Any images depicting her will be a huge plus.

The house had a new lady. Now this lady was a few months into her stewardship and the house was pervading the sorrow that she felt. Her parents had passed away; and although the months lengthened since their passing, the wounds were still fresh.

But Iðunn's life continued on; she did her business and if one met her in the street, one would think that she was a bright and bubbly young lady.

One day whilst she was doing her errands, she saw someone walking down the street. Whether it was his dignified stride, or the handsome features of his face, Iðunn paused to contemplate him. There was something different about him - about his posture compared to many men she saw. Over the weeks, Iðunn saw the man around every few days at least; she never learned what he did, but she gradually began to understand what she saw in him.

There was some sort of inner strength; something she had seen in her father, who had been a soldier before his passing. Iðunn quietly watched the stranger as he went about his business, yet not feeling ready to make an approach.

One day, Iðunn was prepared to depart from her home. Shutting her drapes, she saw the man standing next to a wagonload of barrels. Maybe today she would nod in his direction...

By the time she emerged from her house, the man was bent over helping the wagon driver pick up pieces of a broken barrel that had fallen off the wagon. Iðunn approached to help.

"Good morning." The man greeted her as he straightened up.

Don't mess this up, Iðunn. "Good morning." Iðunn replied. "I just noticed a little of what happened - would you like a little help?"

Iðunn briefly wondered if she'd been too forward, for it seemed like the man wanted to have an excuse not to accept her offer, but providence smiled on Iðunn, and when he lifted his boot to take a step, in came down with squelch.

Iðunn couldn't help her lips from curling slightly; fortunately, the man could see the amusing side as accepted Iðunn's invitation.

Iðunn set the man up by the fireplace, and he undid his boots whilst Iðunn went into her father's room. His uniform still hung neatly in the cupboard; a pair of his thick olive socks folded neatly below.

"I've got a pair of my father's socks, if you don't mind drab olive." Iðunn told her guest, as she entered the room where he was sitting.

The man looked over to her. He didn't seem offended about drab olive at all, which was a good sign.

###Introduction

Hi everyone, this is my entry for the nature themed concept contest. Though mostly based on myths, I did expand the original domain of Iðunn quite a lot. She was not attributed to anything but basically being a carrier of apples, but those apples had to come from somewhere right?

###God/Myth Information

The wiki page has a lot of information about her. Though mostly referred to a youthful goddess, or a wife, or even a damsel in distress, I think there is a lot more to Iðunn than what meets the eye. She is, after all, a keeper of immortality and along with it all the terrible responsibility and power.

###Concept

As a part of my expansion of her domain, since Iðunn tends to the golden apples, it makes a lot of sense to call her a goddess of orchards. At the core of her design I wanted to have hints at her youthfulness, her responsibility as gardener of sorts, and most of all things you find in an orchard.

To that end, I wanted to make a concept that really emphasized that one stat we might hate on a lot of gods, move speed. She is though, a support god at the core, using her powers to manipulate terrain as well as boosting her allies with an assortment of orchard/nature related powers.

I did take into consideration her ability to deal out damage and felt that though it may be possible to turn Iðunn into a full MP mage, she would be balanced around having low base survival stats as compared to other mages, though her natural HP5 and MP5 are a tiny bit higher to reflect the power of youth.

###Skills

> Iðunn is represented in game by a modestly dressed, youthful woman. She carries a basket of apples and flowers with her, but it doesn't hinder her movements because she moves by gracefully skipping (a bit like Agni.) Her auto attacks revolves around whimsically throwing large flower petals at her enemies with the final hit progression attack being an apple.

> Iðunn naturally radiates the sweet aroma of flowers invigorating herself and her allies. This increases her movement speed by 1.5% eve

I don't want to step on anybody's toes here, but the amount of non-dad jokes here in this subreddit really annoys me. First of all, dad jokes CAN be NSFW, it clearly says so in the sub rules. Secondly, it doesn't automatically make it a dad joke if it's from a conversation between you and your child. Most importantly, the jokes that your CHILDREN tell YOU are not dad jokes. The point of a dad joke is that it's so cheesy only a dad who's trying to be funny would make such a joke. That's it. They are stupid plays on words, lame puns and so on. There has to be a clever pun or wordplay for it to be considered a dad joke.

Again, to all the fellow dads, I apologise if I'm sounding too harsh. But I just needed to get it off my chest.

##Lore Iðunn, Goddess of Apples and Youth. She is quite powerful in the realm of Asgard, as it is by her choice that any of the Gods or Goddesses receive their Apple of Immortality. These apples give the Aesir and the Vanir their immortality and allows them to stay eternally young in appearance, if they so choose. However, the war between Gods has grown ever fiercer, and Iðunn must now do her part to help restore balance, and the side she chooses will have the aid of immortality

##Passive: Apples to Apples For each enemy creature or object that dies within range of Iðunn, an apple grows from their body. The apples dropped come in the colours red, green, and yellow. Each red apple picked up by Iðunn increases her health by 3 point, and Iðunn has no limit to the amount of red apples she can have stacked. At certain amounts of red apples collected, Iðunn gains a passive positive bonus.

50 red apples: Iðunn retroactively gains 0.25% HP5 and MP5 per red apple collected, and continues to gain 0.25% HP5 and MP5 for each new red apple collected.

100 red apples: Iðunn's self-healing (life-steal, potions, HP5, Stone of gaia) has 25% increased effectiveness.

150 red apples: Iðunn gains power equal to 1.5% of her health.

##First Ability: Rotten Apple
Iðunn throws a rotten and poisoned apple at a ground target location, dealing damage on impact. The rotten apple will persist for 3 seconds, dealing damage every .5 seconds and slowing enemies within it's range. Enemies killed by this ability will drop Green apples. Green apples will decrease Iðunn's cooldowns by .5 seconds for each green apple. Iðunn can only hold 5 green apples, and the stack will only persist for 10 seconds, and can be refreshed when a new green apple is picked up.
