A list of puns related to "Hypertext Transfer Protocol"
In other word whatever web browser your using. So letβs say your using chrome maybe try something like fire fox for instance or something less sufisticated or not as good as letβs say google or safari.
The wikipedia for http says
The Hypertext Transfer Protocol (HTTP) is an application layer protocol for distributed, collaborative, hypermedia information systems.
I searched the word hypermedia and it seems to be the extension of hypertext to include video, audio etc. But nowhere in the wikipedia it says that HTTP transfers hypermedia instead of hypertext. It just says that it is used for hypermedia information systems. So shouldn't the full form of HTTP be Hypermedia Transfer Protocol ?
Iβve been seeing CNN posts on social media with the web address www-m.cnn.com
I thought maybe for mobile but I canβt clear it when requesting a desktop version of the site.
What is http, what is https? Why do we use www sometimes, but not always? How do website names get assigned to ips? What are subdomains?
Here is an amusing little tidbit from an interaction I had yesterday.
Where I work we use a combination of Gmail and Exchange for email services, depending on where people work. This has become a small problem with the rise of Teams, because Gmail isn't compatible with it. This means we need to provide a new email address (with only a Teams license attached, no mailbox) to the people on the Gmail side so that they can use Teams.
$user needed access to Teams, so I created a new exchange address for them and sent them over the details. Shortly after I receive an email.
$user (email): Hi, I'm having trouble with this. When you get a moment can you help me as it's not making any sense.
As with most requests I get that provide me few details, I pushed it towards the bottom of my to-do list and got on with some other things.
I'm in the middle of provisioning a new PC in another office when $user catches me.
$user: Oh, I'm still stick with Teams. It's not letting me log in.
$me: What do you mean? What sort of feedback is the program giving you?
$user: Incorrect password. I'm using the one you gave me, that one that starts with "https".
And that is when the penny dropped. See, when sending out passwords I try to follow best practise and refrain from sending them plain-text in an email. I use a website called password-push to store the password, and send the direct link to it over to the end user. Despite the fact that this link presented itself as, well, any link does...underlined and blue, this user still tried to copy and paste the URL and use it as the actual password.
$me: Oh, no. That's a link, you need to click it and it will give you the actual password.
$user: Oh, you mean I click it and then choose my password?
$me: No, you click it and it will give you the actual password to copy. Let me know if you have trouble.

I didn't hear back from that user. Next time I will remember to very explicitly state that the password is actually a link to the password.
Here's the link to the package: https://pypi.python.org/pypi/django-htcpcp/0.2.1
and here's a link to the github repo: https://github.com/dashdanw/django-htcpcp
I tried to make it compatible for django 1.8-1.11 and python 2/3 and I would love to hear some feedback on code style and if it's actually working, or anything else I can do to make it a stable package.
This one is sort of a novelty but in the future I would like to start developing more libraries so any advice whatsoever, even if it may seem like overkill for a package this small, would be useful to me.
We might think of MTP as unstable and deprecated garbage.
While indeed deprecated, the implementation of it by Nemo file manager is well superior to that of Windows Explorer, for the following reasons:
Microsoft might think of that as smart on Windows Explorer (also on external storage), but in reality, it is utterly annoying. Nemo file manager thankfully just navigates to the home folder, where I can get right back through the navigation history.
When I want to free up space on a MTP device such as a mobile phone, moving files away is more convenient, because copying causes duplication which needs to be sorted out later, while moving makes the files act like a checklist to be cleared.
Because Nemo file manager deletes files individually, space is freed up immediately, and if anything interrupts the file transfer, some instead of no space is already freed up.
This allows me to select a large number of files without worrying about interruptions rather than having to select small chunks.
Nemo file manager copied 100 small files from the MTP device to the computer within two seconds, while Windows Explorer needed at least ten seconds.
One benefit of Windows Explorer is it displaying files while loading the directory, meaning that the whole directory does not need to be loaded for files to be displayed.
But Windows Explorer, by default, also tries loading thumbnails, which significantly slows the process down.
However, Nemo loads file lists of many small files faster.
But starting at around 2000 files, Windows Explorer might get stuck loading indefinitely, and Nemo file manager might return this error:
> Sorry, could not display all the contents of "[directory name]": libmtp error: could not get object handles.
But on second or third attempt, it might load the file list successfully.
Years ago, Windows Explorer also once had a bug of not responding for a very long time (more than a quarter hour) or until disconnected when trying to rename anything. Appears fixed now.
I just wanted to tell you that I am grateful for Nemo file manager's good implementation of MTP.
Per their tweet:
> Starting today, inbound transfers for CTSI, MIR, RLC & TRB are available in the regions where trading is supported. Traders cannot place orders & no orders will be filled. Trading will begin on or after 9AM(PT) Thurs 5/6, if liquidity conditions are met.
Anyone excited for these new offerings? Personally, I've been eyeing up Tellor for a little considering its oracle tech.
Blocknet is a decentralized blockchain infrastructure based on master nodes that were launched in 2014. It is focused on offering peer-to-peer interoperability between blockchains for use by decentralized applications and smart contracts. The inter-blockchain technology is expected to significantly enhance the number of useful blockchain applications and services. To realize the full potential of blockchain and provide a diverse range of applications, increased scalability, and increased liquidity, interoperability between different chains is required, as it will not only combine the features of multiple chains to deliver all of an entity's required services but will also remove the constraints that limit its user base. It's difficult to integrate all of these capabilities into a single blockchain, but Blocknet's inter-blockchain technology enables access to all of them.

My friend is sharing his Safemoon address. I click on the trust wallet link go through all the steps, hit send, but I keeps failing and all my coins are still there. Any help?
I am currently waiting to do my first FET next month and have zero idea what to expect with protocol besides more shots/hormones of some kind. I donβt know if my CRM is communicating terribly because of COVID, or if they just expect everyone to have gone through IVF before?
Iβve given this constructive feedback to multiple people along the way and they just kind of shrug it off apologetically. I went in for a hysteroscopy three weeks ago and they didnβt even explain why they were doing one. It ended up in a polypectomy and I never even gave consent because I was under anesthesia! Iβm sure it was covered in the documents I signed prior to the procedure, but Iβve been obsessing over it and itβs left me feeling upset. I feel completely like a number and not like a patient. And we are at a well-renowned facility in a large city!
Can someone help me understand whatβs next? All theyβve told me is to take estradiol and progesterone until I start my next period and to contact them after that.
Thanks for any insight!
Update: Had my first FET today and am feeling hopeful! Thanks for all the advice and help everyone gave me regarding their experiences. Best of luck to all of you!
