A list of puns related to "Housing Act Of 1949"
President Harry Truman has pushed through the first of what are being called his βFair Dealβ reforms, further legislation to be built on the basis of late President FDRβs New Deal. The bill P.L. 81-171 is a landmark, sweeping expansion of the federal role in mortgage insurance and issuance, and the federal funding and construction of public housing.
The main elements of the bill, which is called the American Housing Act, include:
Title I: Federal financing for slum clearance programs associated with urban renewal projects in American cities.
Title II: Increased authorization for the Federal Housing Administration (FHA) mortgage insurance.
Title III: Extension of federal money to build more than 800,000 public housing units.
Title IV: Funding for research on housing and building techniques.
Title V: Financing of farm dwellings and other buildings on American farms.
The number of low-rent public housing units is planned to be increased to 1 million units in the next five years. Most of the houses will be built by private enterprise.The U.S. government is now engaged in a campaign to galvanize segments of the building industry to produce lower-priced housing for low-income families.

Following the news of the nationalization of the Iraq Petroleum Company, Parliament today passed unanimously an act censuring the United Arab Republics (formerly Iraq and Syria) for their seizure of British oil wells and refineries in Iraq. As such, the act will:
Freeze assets held in the Bank of England of all members of the UAR military's officer corps higher than the rank of Lieutenant or its equivalent;
Seize for the United Kingdom all monetary assets held in the Bank of England belonging to the ruling cadre of the UAR without exception;
Institute a full embargo of Iraqi and Syrian goods, restricting their import both to the United Kingdom and to the Commonwealth;
Institute a full embargo of British or Commonwealth goods being sold to actors within or associated closely with the government of the UAR.
Riding this bill was an addendum that the first, third, and fourth parts of the act will be reversed the moment the Iraq Oil Company is restored to its former operating status, and the second when the ruling cadre of the UAR steps down and holds a new election. Until such time, the UAR economy as it relates to the United Kingdom and the British Commonwealth is utterly frozen.
I've seen these come from various states, but specifically more recently Washington. Where an agent will make some cute post about how sending a letter to a seller is against the law breaking the Free Housing Act. As far as I can tell sending a letter doesn't actually do this, however I'm not a lawyer and don't know the specifics. Assuming that the letter doesn't involve blackmail or bribery, are these legal?

Hi, sorry for the layout and general bad grammar!
Iβve been living in a Scottish student accommodation for nearly a year and have had repeated issues with them coming into the flat (including bedrooms) completely unannounced. In the past iβve sent emails pointing out the law that state we need 24hours notice and stating that due to mental health issues (psychosis that includes paranoia about break ins) having people randomly come into the flat and my bedroom is causing me issues. This week alone weβve had staff come into 2 of our bedrooms while weβve been sleeping and Iβm kind of at a breaking point with it, is there anything I can do?
Okay I live in UTah in a condo. I have a 1 year old and 1 on the way. We received a complaint from our neighbors stating that my daughters running is too loud and to please stop or theyβll report us. Is this allowed? I also worry because we have a newborn coming and there will be lots of crying. Iβm pretty sure both of these go against the fair housing act? And if so, can someone please help me find the direct link to this so Iβm prepared? Our quiet hours are between 10pm-7am and my daughter is always asleep during those hours so her running around is never during quiet time, only during the day
Generally speaking activism in Canada is heavily tainted. I donβt want this to be just another thing where the leaders are trying to get a staffer job or are using this for their own career gains, as Iβve experienced in the past.
Itβs apparent that politicians will even join βprotestsβ to bring attention to themselves and a lot of slactivists will hijack the cause for social media attention. There will also be ideologs taking this as a chance to convert people.
I have no interest in any of that. I have no interest in just another parade of protests. I have no interest in arguing who is the better politician.
Simply put, Iβm here to fuck shit up in whatever legal confines I can work within. Anyone in the FIRE (Finance, Insurance, and Real Estate) sector that perpetuates this bubble is an enemy of the cause. Their jobs should be subject to automation first.
I am not preaching violence or anything illegal, but I would suggest this should become more than partisan nonsense. We need lawyers, economists, and a whole host of people willing to donate time to pissing off the current system thatβs allowing this to happen.
My personal ideas are to create open databases of bids that we should impose onto politicians like the NDPer that preach theyβre with our cause. The hope will be to get rid of blind bidding.
Iβm also willing to automate anything a real estate agent or their higher up counsel does. I just need to know what to work with.
Any business or politician that can be worked with should be. Iβm personally not looking for recognition or monetary gain, so if need be I can open source everything under this identity. If thereβs businesses already in some sector trying to go after these traditionalists, Iβm happy to work with you.
Give me a book to read, not just some article from some bias media source. Iβll use to garner ideas as to how I can help and who to use my skills against first.
Okay. A lot of you want to help with this and Iβm excited. Iβll need to build something to organize us all next weekend, hopefully. Basically what Iβm thinking is sorta like an application system and job board of sorts. Itβll be pretty messy for a bit, but Iβll dust off some project management skills and hopefully we can start creating tasks and coming together.
Immediate needed things:
It's why we can't have childfree living, at least those of us in America. Unlike the other reasons (race/color, religion, sex, national origin, disability), parental status is uncalled for. There are plenty of options for them, and no options for those of us who want to live in peace but aren't fucking rich.
Childfree people can't have shit.
DISCLAIMER: I did about 5 minutes of research for this post. I do not work for the university and I have no idea what their actual plans are.
Background
As you all know, a few hours ago Big Kris sent an email which contained the following highly controversial points:
>- Every student should have an individual plan for isolation housing if you have a positive COVID-19 test and quarantine housing if you are exposed to someone with the virus.
>
>- Students in university housing should know that on-campus isolation and quarantine housing continues to be limited. Space is not guaranteed. (See the Safe and Healthy Buckeyes website for recommended spaces).
Their website links to a list of "Quarantine and Isolation Hotels" -- which are presumably hotels that the university called up and asked to hold COVID-positive students.
My Theory
As everyone already knew, it's about the money. But maybe not like you think.
The university has literally $100 Million in government grants they can give to students who apply for it. The form is dead-simple, and states:
>The emergency grant can be used to assist with expenses related to a studentβs cost of attendance or for emergency costs that arise due to coronavirus, such as tuition, food, housing, health care (including mental health care) or child care.
You don't have to file a FAFSA, and in my opinion a sudden $500-$1000 hotel stay counts as 'financial hardship', even if you don't have financial need. The university can distribute these funds as they wish, as long as you submit documentation. I think it is the university's plan to direct students to request this grant money if they end up in a hotel. This is not a bad thing -- the university doesn't have to directly pay for it this way (it's govt. money), but you do have to actually request it. I think all you'll need is the hotel receipt and documentation of a positive test (don't quote me on that).
They have $100 million (wtf), which if it were distributed equally among our ~65,000 students is $1500 per student -- more than enough for a hotel stay (and not every student will need a hotel stay). Now the university didn't come out and say "we'll pay for your hotel with government
