UPDATE: FOUND! Thanks for all your suggestions! She was found after a neighbor spotted her on their security camera.
Hey yβall, my grandparents just moved to the Hardin Valley area and their cat escaped last night. Theyβre absolutely devastated so I want to try and get the word out.
Her name is Gracie, sheβs a large ragdoll cat. Very shy and skittish, but very sweet. She is microchipped. I attached a link with her photos. Iβm not sure if sheβs fluffy or shaved right now, so thereβs an image of both.
One word of advice. Go read the books. Especially the original trilogy and the sequels.
You will see that the books have individuals that have powers WAY BEYOND what Gaal and Hardin showed. The books even has a character who has tremendous power but has no idea he does. Like Gaal he did incredible things but didnβt understand how he did it.
So those bashing the 1st season because of these powers: chill. It will be explained.
This is an Appreciation Thread for the Coyote and his Men.
Tell us why you appreciate Hardin, Wolf, Sedgar, Vyland, and Roshea. Hardin, the King of Aurelis, was known as one of the kindest, humblest leaders you could find in Archanea. His gentle demeanor, clever persuasive mindset, and love towards his friends and subjects alike held him in the highest regards amongst his people. Including slaves he rescued, who would pledge their allegiance to him as his personal guard. The stern Wolf, the loyal Sedgar, the mighty Vyland, and the charming Roshea. Following their king, the Coyote's Men would further the peaceful relations of Aurelis up until Hardin's final bow as his own self.
If you wanna show off your Hardins, Wolfs, Sedgars, Vylands, and Rosheas, all are welcomed here! Whether you talk about one or all, all love and praise is accepted!

Gaal reaction in episode 5 was VERY on point. She is s genius, not an emotionless puppet. She woke up in a ship not designed for her, almost unresponsive. Grief is very weird and it comes in waves. Again, she had very little time to process stuff, and by the end, she was completely in her element being her math genius self.
Hardin too, was believable. She is figuring things out as she goes, as one does when very little information is given. It is not her fault the communication was cut. She warned the Empire ship to stand back and do nothing while they investigate the anacreons. Again, not her fault she was not the one in charge of the settlement- which, by the way, I fully expect her to become as per GoyerΒ΄s answers- and that the one in charge was stupid.
It is pretty strange to see people complaining that Gaal was overreacting when she was not and that Hardin plot made no sense when it is basically about a crisis that is both moving the plot forward and building her character.
So I've searched this sub for opinions on these two professors and only found a post with two comments. I've also looked at ratemyprofessors and the reviews for Barycki are all terrible, but I have a feeling that some of the reviews were outliers, so I would greatly appreciate if anyone who has taken them could give some input for the two professors, specifically for Barycki. Thanks!
Glancing at other threads, the answer seems to be "yes," but since at least some of the complaints involve deviations from the book, I am wondering if any other non-book-readers* feel the same way as I do. Here are my reasons:
The Empire storylines are WAY more interesting to me at the moment.
*TBF I read the first book like 15 years ago but remember basically none of it.
I'm baffled by the changes made to the character of Salvor Hardin. Remember that famous Hardin quote? "Violence is the last refuge of the incompetent." In the show, Hardin seems ready to go in, guns blazing ready to fight the Anacreons. Where is the brilliant diplomat Salvor Hardin?
I really think it has almost nothing to do with the show runners making Hardin a woman (though it is a bit of a jarring change that took me out of the story). And I don't recall Hardin's race being explicitly stated either. But they totally missed who the character is.
My impression of Hardin is that he was a natural born leader, charismatic, able to hone in on other characters's motives and predict their actions. He was cunning, always a couple moves ahead. An expert politician. He saw the opportunity and seized the reigns of Foundation to steer it in the direction he knew it needed to go.
In the show, Hardin is an outsider, a loner who feels she doesn't fit in. And there are undertones of her being the "chosen one," which feels antithetical to the essence of psychohistory since psychohistory does not make predictions about individuals.
I'm sorry. I'm ranting. I just had to get this off my chest as it has been bothering me since watching Episode 3 last night.
Some of the changes and additions to the show are greatβnamely the cloned dynasty of emperors. It's just crazy that they missed the fundamentals and the character we arguably spend the most time with in the original book.
I was looking back at the plot and lore of the Archanea games and noticed something about Hardin and Nyna.
According to the lore, Cartas married princess Artemis and thus became king of Archanea while his younger brother Marlon became king of Aurelis. It's only been about a hundred years since then to the start of Shadow Dragon and we get Hardin marrying Nyna.
We aren't given any information to suggest that there were any changes in either royal family since then so both Hardin and Nyna would probably be second or third cousins (or something similar) AND be part of the same noble house. That is to say they would both be of the house that Cartas and Marlon were from.
Did anyone else notice this?
This fucking dude. What a piece of shit.
