A list of puns related to "Gripe Sites"
Does anybody else experience this... Going to the sign in page brings up a prompt saying that I need to sign in to continue. Yes, I know, that's why I'm on this page.
Just a small annoyance, don't even think it's worth bringing up through official channels. Maybe someone from there will see it and care, maybe not.
I know it's still week 1 and all of this is new, but is anyone else annoyed by the AAF site? I know there was a post earlier about getting box scores, etc and I'm sure all of that will come in time.
For me, it's the schedule. Why are there still links to buy tickets to last week's game? Post the results instead! That's what we want to see!
It's the fact that a lot of videos aren't getting added to their Episode tabs on their Show pages. It's the case with the RT Podcast (the latest one there is 337, whereas the latest podcast is actually 341), and Million Dollars, But..., and a lot of other shows on the site. I just don't understand why they're not adding each new episode to the Episodes tab.
Also, there are some shows where there's a video that isn't in the Trending tab or the Episodes tab. You have to manually go looking for it.
I get that there's a few problems with the site, and that's understandable, it's a fairly new site, but they've been promoting the hell out of it lately and what would really help is if when a new video is released, it is added to the show's Episode tab like it should be.
And I get that the newer ones show up in the Trending tab, but it'd be pretty cool if the new videos were put in the Episode tab too, like they're supposed to be.
Is there a bug that's preventing them from being added, or is it a case of someone just forgetting to add them?
Does anyone else agree that it's a turn-off when someone writes in he bio something along the lines of "lol, I'm crazy"?
Also, couples searching for "an adventurous open-minded girl who wants to have fun". I see more of those than singles. And I don't mean Polyamoury, that's fine
Additionally, guys that show up on my feed because they wrote in their bio that they're a woman. And I definitely don't mean transgender women, I'm talking about cis guys that I have no interest in dating.
I work in Stockton, CA. Over the last three weeks my boss has been asking me to help him on a project; me and three other co-workers.
The project is the big issue, however., He wants us to help him write a gripe site claiming that Selena Gomez was the cause of Dieselgate, in an attempt to get himself on CNBC and CNN.
I don't believe the claims for a minute. Selena Gomez caused Dieselgate? Yeah, right.
I told him no, he threatened me when I was in the bathroom, said that he'd tell everyone I was fucking his son (he's in his 50s, his son is 26), but I'm 34, married with a 5-year-old son and am straight.
He said if I went to the police I'd be in for it, and that I would help him with the project no matter what.
I told him no, but he insisted I do it and now wants to discuss the project further with me.
I can't leave yet, since my 3-year- contract expires in September (I've been there nearly 3 years now).
Any advice on what I can do about this, as I enjoy the work but am having issues with the boss and legality?
I work in support for a webhosting company, a small one, btw. Recently we and our team noticed someone had set up a gripe site, but they'd signed up for it as "Personal" and said it was a showbiz site in their application.
However, we checked their site, and it's made allegations about, of all people, Justin Bieber, Scarlett Johansson, Kathy Griffin and Kanye West, claiming they haven't been arrested under Operation Yewtree yet, and should. It made claims, which I won't repeat here, but they're not pleasant, but it basically amounts to "these celebrities committed these acts, so arrest them under Operation Yewtree."
Is this protected under free speech, or does it fall under libel laws?
The site owner lives in Northern Ireland, the site is hosted here in North Carolina, so U.S. law, applies, right?
How likely is he to be sued, and what should we do legally, about this?
Working with Google alerts I come across numerous news sites (and I mean big players in their field) who have mentioned my clients brand. There is never a link, even if they have referenced an exact article my client has written. Is there a general lack of understanding of internet etiquette in the journalism sector?
But that is not my gripe, my gripe is their refusal to add a link if you email them, the always quote the same thing "interflora this, interflora that" I used to highlight the difference between what interflora did and what is considered best practice by Google but that always fell on deaf ears, so I don't bother any more.
Has anyone experienced this?
And how can they be better?
So I might be the only one that feels this way, but here goes:
As I'm researching sources for me persuasive speech on ending prohibition (I hate speeches, and my call of help to /r/trees went unheard), I keep noticing that pot leaves are put on everything. This just seems counter-intuitive to me, as we should be trying to put on a professional appearance, not like the website was designed by middle/high (no pun intended) schoolers.
The site that eventually tipped me over the edge. I can't use sources like this to my teacher, because she has demanded they be of professional and scholarly origin, or from an accredited source. She doesn't want this speech to work out for me, as she has already made it clear to me that she is not in favor of marijuana.
I still don't know what I was expecting to see. I was inspired to this subject by Colorado and Washington having legalization bills up for vote this year. Between bad graphics and claims of spiritualism, I can now see why casual readers are quickly put off. Combine that with a lack of large controlled studies, why trees gets such a hard time.
Like a lot of people in Europe I do a lot of traveling . I am finding of recent that when I go to the UK site of a non UK - often USA - company , or when I select English , the site switches me to the local site of the country that I am in along with the local language . There is often no way around this . 2 examples - logitech.co.uk & kobo.com - viewed from France . Also amazon.com.au viewed from France changes to amazon.co.uk - doesn't help if one wants to buy gifts for Australian friends and family .
We just tried to reserve campsites in Yosemite for Memorial Day weekend. Even with four people we got nothingβ the site wet crazy with traffic and suddenly everything was gone. Iβm wondering what percentage of these were snagged by bots? Did we even have a chance?
Sigh. Is there someplace where people go to scalp these sites so I can check it out?
#Part 5 β Mists of Pandaria
This is the fifth part of my write-up about World of Warcraft. You can read the first four by clicking the links below.
Part 1 - Beta and Vanilla
Part 2 - Burning Crusade
Part 3 - Wrath of the Lich King
Part 4 - Cataclysm
An Unexpected Trademark
It was mid-2011. The final patch of Cataclysm was on its way, and Blizzcon was just around the corner. The subject of World of Warcraftβs next expansion had begun to gain traction once again, and as was tradition, the internet became awash with leaks. Some promised Old Gods, some foresaw KulβTiras or Zandalar or Nazjatar, TelβAbim or Suramar or Sargeras β in short, players made every possible prediction in the vain hope that one of them might be proven right.
But none of them were.
No one could have predicted Pandaria.
It wasnβt until the user βMynscβ went wading through the US Patent and Trademark Office website in search of info about Titan β Blizzardβs βopen-secretβ new game in development β that they stumbled upon a recently-filed trademark by the name of βMists of Pandariaβ. Among all the theory-crafting and scavenging for information, it had been there a week, out in the open where anyone could find it, and yet completely overlooked.
It was immediately dismissed by many users as a book, a figurine, an in-game microtransaction perhaps. They cast it aside and turned to the more realistic leaks. But upon further inspection, the trademark was for a game, distributed on CD-ROMs with instruction manuals and guides. It had to be WoW content.
Okay, the community said. Then it was a patch.
>βthey don't trademark patches. If they never did before, why now?β
Then it had to be some kind of trading-card game spin off. Definitely not an expansion.
>βThe international class used in the trademark is the same as they used for previous expansions. The timing and information for the Mists of Pandaria trademark matches that of The Burning Crusade, Wrath of the Lich King, and Cataclysm. If this i

>Halo Infinite multiplayer is truly a love letter to old school shooters and a proper return to the qualities that originally made the series famous. Whether you are looking for smaller, more organised, matches or all-out warfare with vehicles, you have a lot to enjoy in this game.
Area Xbox - Kevin Arbelo - Spanish - 9.7 / 10
>The Master Chief's latest adventure feels very solid and has quickly become one of my favorite titles of the year. It is difficult to find FPS with better sensations at the controls than those that Halo Infinite has transmitted to me. From its gunplay, through its artificial intelligence, its performance and of course its spectacular sound section. Without a doubt, an adventure designed for the enjoyment of the player.
Areajugones - Alfonso CΓ‘novas - Spanish - 9.2 / 10
>Halo Infinite's compendium is a remarkable one, a game that excels in all areas and that properly shows the hard work that 343 Industries has put in the game. The campaign is cool and th

First of all, dad jokes CAN be NSFW, it clearly says so in the sub rules. Secondly, it doesn't automatically make it a dad joke if it's from a conversation between you and your child. Most importantly, the jokes that your CHILDREN tell YOU are not dad jokes. The point of a dad joke is that it's so cheesy only a dad who's trying to be funny would make such a joke. That's it. They are stupid plays on words, lame puns and so on. There has to be a clever pun or wordplay for it to be considered a dad joke.
Again, to all the fellow dads, I apologise if I'm sounding too harsh. But I just needed to get it off my chest.
Quality Assurance. The name of the section by itself terrifies the younger, more inexperience members of the US Air Force Aircraft Maintenance career fields. Though not without a good reason. All they see is QA rolling up to a job in their pristine uniforms, looking around, having a brief talk to the NCO, and next thing they know the crew is in an office getting yelled at by an E-7 or E-8 for not following the rules.
The fact that QA is seen as the bogeyman by so many really isnβt fair. Most maintainers do what theyβre supposed to be doing, but sometimes they do shit thatβs either dumb or unsafe. Which is why QA exists; to ensure personnel obey the rules and maintain proficiency. Nobody wants to get people in trouble, but when an inspector walks into a hangar and sees an airman reaching into a wing tank full of fuel to disconnect electrical connectors, their hands are kind of tied.
For a brief period, a few years ago, I was also a QA inspector. One of the benefits of being assigned to QA is being part of a great team. QA inspectors have to pass an interview and be approved by a senior inspector before being accepted, and an assignment to QA is a privilege usually granted to the better, more professional maintainers in the maintenance group.
But itβs not an easy gig. Any fails or violations we find have to be justified by AFI references and technical data. So a large part of the job is reviewing those publications, and often discussing with other inspectors how to best write the fail. And we got pushback on our fails ALL THE TIME. I made it a point to only write up stuff that was blatantly incorrect, but there were squadron and AMU Chiefs who made it a habit of arguing every single fail they got, and our Chief Inspectors HATED them for it. To the point where they wouldnβt even bother discussing it with some of them, as it wasnβt worth the energy. If a Chief only called every once in a while, they might work something out. But if every write-up is worth an argument, then none of them are.
Some of you guys are familiar with certain types of base fundraisers. I forget what this one is called, but how it worked was that anyone could pay to have someone βarrestedβ by security forces. The SecFo guys would go find them, read off the bogus charges, βdetainβ them with flexicuffs, and put them in βjailβ (ie. the E-Club). The βarrestedβ member would then either hang out for an hour, or they could pay to bail themselves out early. The higher the rank, the more you

I don't have any more information than you guys currently, but I would like to remind everyone that this is unfortunately something that's becoming more common. I believe the same thing happened with the Scream and the Zack Snyder's Justice League releases. This video explains the reason for the recent delays, but essentially there's just a bottleneck in the manufacturing process and distributing process.
Please keep all of your gripes contained here, we don't need everyone creating a new thread about not being able to get these releases. And if we learn anything more we'll update the thread.

... keep reading on reddit β‘Longtime lurker, looking to vent. I'm leaning toward not attending my commencement ceremony. The primary reason for this is dislike of my institution. My gripes with my program aren't unique and I hear them echoed often on this subreddit. I spent my first two years self-studying for pre-clinical coursework with outside resources because my school's lectures were inadequate. My core clinicals had significantly reduced in-person time because of the pandemic, were disorganized, and largely felt like shadowing. I didn't feel like I got the med school experience I hoped for until I completed my sub-Is, one of which was at an away institution. That experience at my away sub-I was fantastic and made me realize just how poor the teaching and support is at my home site. I finished all my electives by early November and have been off the grid as it relates to my school since then.
I've now started getting information about graduation. Reflecting on my past four years here, the primary emotion I feel is bitterness. I was so excited at the onset of medical school and my expectations fell far short of what I hoped the experience would be. I wish I didn't feel this way because I think it's a poisonous emotion to harbor that can really eat at you. I have a hard time conceptualizing the graduation ceremony as anything other than a self-congratulatory pat on my school's back for doing the bare minimum to get us through. It doesn't feel right to me that my institution should embrace my classmates' successes as their own when students have managed to succeed in spite of our program.
Reasons why I would attend? For my mom, who insists that I shouldn't "let them win" by not going. My parents have been on the other side of many vent sessions related to my school, so they intimately understand why I am upset. Second, my superego insists that I should go because it's the "right" way to handle things and that my instinctive emotions are immature. Third, the Instagram clout and that one pic with the handful of people who helped me survive :P
Tl;dr My school makes me see red and want to go Hulk Smash/not attend the grad ceremony. Curious to hear others' experiences/input on this
Do your worst!
For context I'm a Refuse Driver (Garbage man) & today I was on food waste. After I'd tipped I was checking the wagon for any defects when I spotted a lone pea balanced on the lifts.
I said "hey look, an escaPEA"
No one near me but it didn't half make me laugh for a good hour or so!

Hi everyone. I am one of the many who was persecuted by the CCP regime. In 2020, I was imprisoned for tweeting βinappropriate tweetsβ. The following is the draft statement that I prepared to hand in to the Home Office as materials in support of my asylum application. It is not the final version, which was totally re-composed by my lawyer to meet some format standards. But this one has more details. (The final version was shrunk to no more than ten pages with many unnecessary details omitted.)
I decided to share my past experience here by using my statement below, but I have to omit some details in the statement, and all of the deleted parts were replaced by β[β¦]β. All the dates, numbers and the names of places and peopleβs were changed into xxx, too, because even though I am now in a safe country, disclosing these materials may bring troubles to my families in mainland China. And that is why I cannot show you my Indictment, Judgement and other documents.
I am grateful that I managed to flee the evil regime, yet so many of us are still stranded there. And the situation in mainland China is still deteriorating every single day. Yesterday was Human Rights Day, and yet I cannot see hope in improving human rights in mainland China.

Summary
My name is XXX. ID No: xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx; Passport No: XXxxxxxxx. I was born on D MMMM 199Y, in XXXXXX, XXXXXX, mainland China.
In 2020, I was politically persecuted and sentenced to X months of imprisonment under the infamous βpicking quarrels and provoking troubleβ (Chinese: ε―»θ‘ ζ»δΊ) for, according to the CCP regime, posting βinappropriate remarksβ in a private (βprotectedβ) Twitter account. Page 2 to 30 (apparently here on this web page there will be no page numbers) is a detailed statement on this. Following that is a list of documents that I handed in on D MMMM 2021 at the UK Border of XXXXXX Airport. Supplemental information is provided following this list.
In fear of further persecution from the CCP regime of mainland China, after months of preparation, I finally managed to flee the regime on D MMMM 2021 and arrived at the UK Border the next day. I then applied for asylum right away at the border, and submitted all the documents that can prove my experience I had at that time. I do solemnly affirm that every word written in this statement and every proof provided are true and genuine and I am, therefore, sincerely imploring your consideration.
Thank you.
D MMMM 2021.
