As an oldtimer who's been around to see how WG spiraled into this pathetic state with their "festive events", I decided to go back on and take take a closer eye on WG's claim that "this Christmas is just like the others", and "we thought everyone already knew the rules" cuz I sure as hell don't remember this being this way

So let's take a stroll down memory lane shall we, and lay out the skeletons in WG's closet bare, showing from the contents, rulesets and advertising just why this is not a merry Chrismas

The rules: "Player A buys a gift, which WG will give to a random player (B), at which point Santa would gift player A the same gift that was given to player B.

This was very likely a test run on the concept of Santa crates There's no record of what was actually in these crates but I assume it's something close to what's in one of the small containers we have today.

To be honest, I don't think there ever was a "Player B", I personally did not get anything, and non of the people who I chatted to at the time said anything about getting anything, feel free to correct me if you were one of the people who actually get something...

So, I officially ghosted my AP of 8 years. Blocked his # two days ago, with absolutely no response to his texts. But got damn apple sends his Fucking text through to my laptop. He’s been texting me for three days.... no response. Showed up at my office...no response. Called from his business phone...no response. I offer no closure. Fuck that. After 8 years...it’s time.

A recent post reminded me of this story. I was just going to comment but decided I was brave enough to try my first post. I frequently comment because that seems less risky to me

When I was 14 I wanted an Atari game system for christmas. It was pretty much my only request. I had played with them while babysitting and was really excited about them

Christmas morning my parents handed me my first gift. It was a beautiful ring box. I was excited for my first piece of real jewelry that didn't come off a piece of cardboard. Inside was a small plastic ring taped to a dime. They gave me a dime-and-ring. Everyone laughed when I opened it. I was crushed but hid my disappointment

My 11 year old brother got the Atari. It wasn't even what he asked for

I also got some heavy brown stoneware dishes and a few pans for "when I got married". It's just what every 14 year old girl wants, right? I suspect they bought some clearance items as the dishes were of poor quality and none of them survived past 4 years once I finally used them

I told this "funny" story a few times before I realized that no one else seemed to think it was as hilarious as my family did

For years I buried those emotions and kept pretending I had a healthy family growing up. But buried things have a way of surfacing when you least expect them to. I even kept that terrible gift and still have it

I have been NC with my mom for many years because I finally realized she was extending her abuse to my kids. But I'm still dealing with old trauma

It’s 2020, so I usually just give the UPS/FedEx man a thumbs up through the window when they bring packages. Today though, I was chilling in my new shift and mob cap, and in my haste to grab a throw to cover up my décolletage and answer the knock, I forgot to take off the cap. Probably looked like I was quarantining from a very different plague, LOL!

I only say Life Day cause that is the Star Wars equivalent of Christmas. Otherwise refer to the title for the what if.

And that marks the end of season one. An introduction of another great character. My favorite episode of this season was space conflict from beyond Pluto. (Or maybe bad replicant.)

Imagine that recent developments (no spoilers, don’t worry) made Kaguya feel Grinchy on Christmas.

If Kaguya got visited by three spirits on Christmas Eve, dedicated to rejuvenating her Christmas spirit, how would you imagine the adventure would go?

During a busy day of overseeing Terok Nor Gul Dukat is approached by a poor and maimed Bajoran boy. The boy tells the gul that the following day is Gratitude Festival, a very important Bajorin holiday and traditionally everyone takes the day off and feasts and exchanges presents and generally likes the prophets. The boy asks if it would be alright for the workers to take the day off and to get a small bit of extra rations. It is of course rejected.

That night in his sleep Gul Dukat is visited by the ghosts of Christmas past, present and future one after another. They are holiday lusted and really want the workers to have the day off. They can use any sort of mental images they want, but one must be of the past, one of the present and one of the future.

Can they convince Dukat to give the workers a day off?

As titled let's review and 2nd guess the incompetent GMs of today and yesterday to see what a truly spectacular team the pundits on G101 could have put together. Even prior to Gettleman's reign of errors Reese cost us big time. Feel free to add as im only doing a couple obvious ones here.

1. Instead of doubling down on Flowers and taking Apple we take the weed guy, Laremy Tunsil at LT. Flowers may develop into a good guard given time and coaching. Maybe, but he is no good in space.

2. Instead of Mr. Peleton, Evan Engram, we take Ram at RT. Our bookends are set for the future. Arguably these 2 moves change the future of the franchise and we never pick high enough again to get the following premier picks.

Bonus: Macadoo knew Eli's better days were behind him and was pounding the table for Mahomes. Just throwing that out there. Just imagine...

3. Gettleman never getting hired would be a dream come true but even if he was he doesn't totally gut the roster to spite his predecessor. You draft replacements and fill holes instead of creating more of them.

4. You don't trade OBJ!!!!!! Our lone playmaker on offense.

5. Barkley. Chances are we don't have his pick if the other things have happened but we aren't altering reality, just reviewing history. With No line and a million holes to fill to rebuild a roster this pick should have been leveraged for a kings Ransom. If no takers than the best pass rusher or Lineman available, Nelson. At this point our Oline could have Tunsil and Ram at tackles, Flowers (or someone better) and Nelson at Guard, and Richburg or a better replacement at Centre. In which case we drafted Chubb in the 2nd round and laugh our way to more division titles.

6. The Jones pick. I don't know if he will be the qb of the future but from what I've seen I would not take him at 6. I doubt anyone else does either. You draft him with a later round pick or get someone else. Stop gap journeyman QB who gives you the same Eli does at a savings for example. You take the best pass rusher available to replace your aging vets on D. Monteze Sweat was available for instance.

There are a million other choices in the draft and FA that could have and should have been made differently. For example drafting Kittle at TE. Let's see them...

My friend is having a birthday so we are all rolling up funny characters for a dnd oneshot.

Im looking to make a character thats similar to Cybernetic Ghost of Christmas Past from the Future from Aqua Teen Hunger Force. A robot that has many a story to tell about the not too distant Christmas future!

We are allowed to build from any of the source material. Rules are we start at Level 15 and have 5 magic items below legendary plus one legendary item.

I think I should go with Warforged but Im open to any suggestions.
