A list of puns related to "Gamma Aminobutyric Acid"
I took 750 mg of GABA and I really want to have a glass of wine or two. Any experiences? Is it safe?
Hello there guys.
Im giving my phenibut away to a friend and I have some GABA too (the supplement) and we wonder if anyone ever tried to mix these two?
I know some will say that GABA wont cross the BBB (blood-barrier in the brain) - But I think it does.
When I tried to take GABA in larger dose, I feel very calm and I get tingly feeling in my fingers.
And I've heard other people say they feel the same effect from it.
The website sportspoeders (a website that sells supplements) the reviews on the GABA all say it has effect.
One person even states that one should be careful, when he/she took too big dose, he/she got slowed breathing.
The website is legit! One of the better supplement websites I've come across
So the question is, what happens if you mix these two? Anyone with experience?
Might the phenibut even boost the little effect of GABA?
This is what wikipedia say about the BBB:
"It has been traditionally thought that exogenous GABA (i.e. taken as a supplement) doesn't cross the blood-brain barrier,[2] however data obtained from more current research[3] indicates that it may be possible." -

Thank you in advance!
Have not seen one post on this here, just wondering if this would be a good option
Why is Phenibut prescribed more often than clean GABA? For example, in the treatment of insomnia. What is the difference in practice? What's worse, what's better. What are the nuances?
Hi everyone :)
A brand in my country has released a GABA serum, and I was curious bc I rarely see this ingredient being recommended or talked about... has anyone here used it as an isolated substance before, directly on skin? If so, what did you think of it?
I found some 2007 studies saying it can increase the firmness of skin, which is exactly what I'm looking for tbh.
I'm also currently using tretinoin, hyaluronic acid and AHA, so I dont know if including another acid would harm my skin...
So for years Iβve suffered from extreme depression and anxiety that had basically ruined my life. Lately itβs gotten way worse and I donβt know what to do. Also antidepressants donβt help me for some reason. My mom recommended a herbal supplement called GABA that is known to reduce stress and make you relax. A lot of people have told me about this herbal supplement and Iβm wanting to try it. I just donβt know if it would mess with my birth control pill. Iβd rather not get pregnant, but I just really want this depression to go away. Has anyone taken these together?
So I just bought myself some GABA and Saffron to try for anxiety and depression... I may not take the Saffron, because the more I read on it, it makes people's anxiety worse sometimes, and im not willing to gamble with that.
In the morning I take: 500mg of L-Arginine 1000mg of L-Lysine 200mg of L-Theanine 400mg of SAM-e
After Lunch I take: 1000ui of Vitamin D3 1000mg of Fish Oil
And at night I take : 10mg of Melatonin
When should I take my GABA? Do I need to take it on an empty stomach? Are there any interactions with the supplements I take listed above? Any feedback is much appreciated. Just trying to live a happier live with no depression and reduced anxiety.
I have the main article but I cannot access the Supplemental Data
Thank you
I've started taking GABA and it has literally resolved some major issues I have been having for several years even some a decade or more old. This Tells me I have a problem with my GABA productions or receptors and I will be looking into this more but meanwhile..
I've never abused drugs or even taken Benzo's. I did however take clorazaphram for a year 10 years ago and on and off of Anti-depressants. I don't drink or coffee for about 6 years and don't smoke.
My reason question for this post is, can you build a tolerance to this? Can you become addicted and experience withdrawal symptoms? Can this further damage your GABA receptors if they even are in the first place?
What has seemed to be resolved even if its temporary?
- Anxiety
- Agitated all the time
- Insomnia/fragmented sleep
- Mood
- Always angry for no reason
- Lebedo, I've had more sex in the past 2 weeks than I have in 3 years. I'm 43 and I feel like I'm a teenager again.
All this makes me scared because for the first time in many years I feel normal but scared that these are only temporary effects that will go away.
If anyone has any insights to anything else I'd like to hear.
Thank you.
