A list of puns related to "Freeskiing"
Me and my friend are planning a ski trip through Russia with Trans-Siberia. We have been checking out Almaty and Baikal, but is there any other options/hidden gems near the route?
I've always stuck to groomers and a bit of back country but would like to add a little more play to my skiing. Is there a good resource, preferably with videos, where I can look for advice and some idea for where to start and how to progress?
Hey there, I'm 17, this is going to be my 11th year skiing. I was big into racing up until last season, but this year I'm looking to try out some freeskiing. First question is what should I look for in skis. I'm leaning towards the K2 Shreditor 102 or the J skis whipit, but open to suggestions. Apart from that I'm just looking for some pretty basic starting tips that might help me to not hurt myself which is my number one fear going into this. Thanks!!
Im wanting a pair of twin tip skis for next season to start working on free skiing. This is my first season skiing and I have Enforcer 93's and they work exactly for what I got them for, all mountain, an extremely versatile ski but I want to move over to freeskiing and learning to ski switch etc.
Im 6'1" 140lb (very light)
Who are your favorite skiiers? For semi-underground: I would go with Nicky Keefer. For pros: Gus Kenworthy, Dale Talkington
I'm redoing my line up with my stix and am looking for insight from the boys regarding where you mount your bindings? For those of you who ride switch comfortably...
Hey everyone! I am new here at the SKIING subreddit and I've never seen quite a discussion like some that happen over here. I am from Toronto, Canada and I have been skiing most of my life (starting at 2, 19 now), and spend at least a month out of the year on skis. I've had the chance to enjoy skiing mostly in parts of Europe, such as France, Italy and Austria. With all the exciting resorts and mountains, I've gotten to the point where I want something more from my skiing experience and decided to make a transition into alpine ski touring in the backcountry. After watching some episodes of the FreeskiTV on Youtube I decided that this year's season would be the one.
All that said, I have a few questions to those who have some experience in Freeskiing:
In advance thanks for any replies!
EDIT: Sorry, as Maladjusted_vagabond pointed out I was discussing alpine ski touring in the backcountry rather than free skiing in the form of going on ramps. I will however use all of your suggestions accordingly and try to make the most out of the season here in TO for now anyway
Thereβs lots of skateboarding videos like plan B and snowboarding movies like further, farther, higher. But I canβt seem to find any on skiing.
