A list of puns related to "Firebug"
Here is a link to screenshot evidence of the bug.
There is a bug with Firebug (puns) in which killing something with ground fire will net you 0 xp for the kill. In order to trigger this bug, ALL of the damage to the Zed must be from ground fire, or the ground fire's DoT. Doing any damage from another source (impact damage, splash damage) will net you full xp.
This bug is especially terrible since often times Crawlers and Clot type enemies will walk through your ground fire and be killed by it before you can manage to hit them with any other form of damage.
Below is a breakdown of what's going on in each screenshot:
In the first pic, I am killing a Gorefast with only ground fire damage. Notice I'm gaining 11 dosh for the kill, but I'm not getting any xp whatsoever.
In the second pic I'm killing 2 Crawlers. I've received 6 xp (3 for each Crawler). This shows that you still get the bonus xp from killing Crawlers with FB weapons, but no xp from the kill itself.
The third pic shows the total amount of xp I've gotten during the match, 2,684. Note that I'm playing on Hard mode (makes testing a lot easier) and prestiged, so all xp sources should be multiplied by 1.3.
The fourth pic is the list of Zeds I've killed. I didn't do any objectives during the match. I should have received 3,581 xp, so I've lost 897 xp from this bug.
Below is the math if you care about that sort of stuff.
ZED | XP | # Killed | Final XP |
---|---|---|---|
Gorefast | 18 | 8 | 144 |
Alpha Clot | 14 | 4 | 56 |
Cyst | 14 | 18 | 252 |
Slasher | 14 | 28 | 392 |
Bloat | 31 | 1 | 31 |
Crawler | 16 | 23 | 368 |
Stalker | 13 | 5 | 65 |
Husk | 26 | 1 | 26 |
E.D.A.R. | 26 | 1 | 26 |
Siren | 19 | 1 | 19 |
Scrake | 58 | 0 | 0 |
Fleshpound | 61 | 0 | 0 |
Quarterpound | 28 | 0 | 0 |
Hans Volter | 2202 | 1 | 2202 |
The XP column includes the +30% prestige bonus.
Summing all the Final XP's together should give you 3,581.
I think this bug also exists for Napalm, as I've seen a post about that in the past, but I can't be sure.
EDIT: Formatting, and added the line about the summation.
There's Football today!
Can of black oil that you can throw to slow zeds, and shoot/fire it to burn the ground. I'm thinking like two cans that weight 1-2kg with 350$ price. Like demo's C4, thoughts?

All I get for RNG is helicopter then he dodges back if I attack and we do this until I die. I canβt the slippery bastard to stay still long enough to get a hit in phase 2.
Edit: Finally got it after getting lucky and managing to get the body slam. Leaving this up for others who need and donβt want to wait for good RNG to beat him.
All of the above are too fast, too tough, and hit way too hard, and tend to cover their weak points while charging, and they move faster than you, like, WTF AM I SUPPOSED TO DO AGAINST THAT?
Hey folks,
This patch we've worked on another accessibility feature, you can kind of guess the theme of what we're trying to achieve at the moment with these patches. This is something we had put off for some time and wanted to address.
The Belt Dock Accessibility allows players to press Y/B on both controllers at the same time to move the docks into a more forward facing position that is easier to interact with. Pressing the same buttons again will move them back to where they were originally so that your view can be cleared. This allows seated players who previously had physical obstructions to now reach these. With this solution, players can still feel the immersion of using the belt docks where they are if you've trained muscle memory, or use them more conveniently when moving items around.
Firebugs are a new addition to A Township Tale on Quest. Firebugs are these little critters that come out to give players lost in the dark a chance at light. We used to use a calculation that Quests can't do for how they spawn, but now that's been changed so they can save wayward souls. Firebugs can be killed for an igniting 'spark' that can relight your torches, or they can be shaken to cast extra light.
And lastly, the long-awaited ability to mute everybody, or hear only friends has now been added. Currently however, people you've 'muted' will still hear you. This is something we'll tie into these settings at a later time, there's some deeper, riskier tech involved there.
This particular patch is relatively small, some of the next issues we're tackling are bigger problems that affects everyone and we're steadily making progress towards bringing these changes to PCVR.
Here are the notes!
The other perk left are commando, support and me as swat. Can anyone explain wtf is going on?
The Pillow Pyro is definitely my Top5, it is the one I often go back to relisten cos it is less gruesome. Firebug so far has 9 episodes, I have not gone through all of them, anyone has?
Title
Edit: Iβm listening to the 9th episode now and I just want to note that >!based on this episode alone I 100% believe he is capable of starting all the fires and killing 4 people. This is not IF he did it, but if he was CAPABLE of doing it on an emotional and psychological level.!<
Original post:
Just from a purely legal perspective >!the entire thing looks like bs. Sure. Investigators have exactly one finger print to go off of. But that only connects John to ONE fire. The way in which they were started with the matches might be the same, but John could have been doing a copy cat crime!<
Also, as for the hardware store fire, >!if it was ruled an accident by electrical problems, why didnβt the company/electrician speak up about it at the time? Why wait years to show the floor blue prints? This could have saved the insurance company millions.!<
The only explanation I can think of is that >!the electrician did try to show it wasnβt an accident, but that the police were so bend on ruling it an accident they ignored him, just like they did John. But wouldnβt the electrician bring that up in court during the settlements? That would have been useful information.!<
But above all else with the hardware store, >!why should John continue to insist that it was not an accident if he set the place on fire?!<

Has anyone listened to the new podcast from Truth Media called Firebug? A fictional novel leads to a true story of a serial arsonist. I really like produced podcasts (shoutout everything NPR), because I love good quality audio. Firebug has a really nice narrative production, but isn't as cringe as anything Wondery. Plus the story is really intriguing and I haven't heard this one yet. With as many true crime pods as I sub to, it can be a challenge to find "large" cases that aren't heavily covered.
If anyone has or ends up listening, please let me know what you think! Starting my binge now, but I usually like lengthy episodes. These are about 30 mins episodes, so I'll be finished tonight lol.
The Sailor accused of stating the Bonhomme Richard fire has been identified as Seaman Apprentice Ryan Sawyer Mays. He is represented by LtCol Gary Barthel USMC(Ret.).
From the picture at https://www.militarytimes.com/news/your-navy/2021/08/04/sailor-accused-of-starting-uss-bonhomme-richard-fire-identified-in-warrant/, looks as if SA Mays really likes silkies and selfies, but he seems allergic to barbers.
PROTIP: If you are ever accused of a crime, don't say "the witness could not have identified me because, βI had a face mask on.ββ
