A list of puns related to "Faux Leather"
Hey ladies, it's me again! Did you receive a bag that feels like plastic? Is it a huge sheet of fufu? Despite all assurances that it's the "same leather" as auth, does your bag feel like bonded leather, instead of full leather? Well never fear, I decided to put my plastic YSL Kate on the line and now it feels AH. MA. ZING.
I'm sure you're all sick of me and my qualms with the YSL Jundu/Orange Couch Kate rep I received and it's plastic leather, compared to my auth in my last reference post. WELL! It now feels exactly the same as my auth and I'm over the freaking moon. The "leather" is actually leather in my eyes and fingers. This trick worked so amazingly for my terrible Gucci Marmont faux leather rep too (which was fufu-smell land and plastic AF), and the product can also be used for furniture and cars, so we're killing several birds with one stone.
My YSL rep used to feel way too smooth, like a thick sheet of plastic with a YSL logo glued onto it. Now it feels like soft, supple leather with graining on it. I did a little bit of digging, and saw that people were applying vinyl conditioner and cleaner (usually meant for cars and furniture) onto their faux leather jackets, to make them feel and look like real leather (conditioned, moisturised and textured). I personally used Meguiar's Gold Class Vinyl and Leather Conditioner on my YSL by spraying it like crazy onto a microfibre cloth first, and then firmly rubbing it in using circular motions. You can actually SEE the liquid drying and it should've all soaked in by a minute. I got overexcited and did my whole bag (even though you're supposed to try it on a small area first just in case).
It's like I have a new bag now! Holy cow this product is amazing and I'm so glad I decided to just try it. I was a bit scared because even though the bag is a rep it still is a good amount of money to spend, just to use the bag as a lab rat experiment. But nowww, I'm saying goodbye to my auth and keeping my rep.
Here are a few photos of the process - the end result shows the "leather" having a beautiful, leather sheen - which all auths should have!
I'm not a collector, I just want a set to read. And after semi suffering reading through the omnibus (as my hands got tired), I got my eye on the pocket edition.
However, I'm concerned that the font is too small. I've no way of seeing it in person, so I'll have to take your word for it. So... is it? Or should I just look for a normal sized edition?
P.S. And I'm not talking about casual reading; I'm talking about sitting hours on end with it. Will my eyes get tired? (I don't have/need glasses for what it's worth, but I'd still prefer not to strain my eyes. Will I have to with this?)
Edit: Anyone knows this version? It's also small (but not as), and more importantly: It has more pages (about 200 more) and is dirt cheap for some reason.
Short meaning just at or above the hip (long torso here). Not intentionally βcroppedβ by any means, but definitely not long. Thanks!
Hi,
I'm looking to purchase a pair of fake Bapestas, but I don't want a pair that use authentic leather. I've noticed recently that some retail (that is, authentic) Bapestas use synthetic leather. Are there any sellers that also use synthetic leather, regardless of model or colorway? I get the impression that most sellers would claim it to be authentic even if it isn't because most people prefer genuine leather.
Also, if anyone knows any sellers selling the newest Sorayama Sk8stas, I would appreciate a link (https://stockx.com/a-bathing-ape-bape-sk8-sta-hajime-sorayama). Thank you!
Abercrombie is sold out in their short style and I really love the straight pants look. Aritzia has a similar style but theyβre pretty expensive.
So I had the devastating experience recently of my favourite faux leather trousers dying. These trousers are out of stock, so I had buy them from depop in one size up which still fit but have more loose material. I never had any issues with squeaking in the smaller size, but no matter how much cornstarch I rub on this new pair they still make so much noise. I think this is because of the extra material, so does anyone know how to help me?
I found a really cool duster/full length vintage faux leather coat from BB Dakota but it's pretty wrinkled up. It obviously wasn't stored on a hanger. I've had it hanging up for about a week and it's still wrinkly. Any ideas on how to get the winkles out? Ironing is obviously not a good idea (pretty sure it would melt) and I'm thinking a steamer would probably damage the fabric with all that moisture. I'm not sure but I'm scared to try it π I have wrinkle releaser spray but once again, worried about moisture wrecking the material. I figured it's possible someone here might have had a similar experience and know what works. Thanks for reading!
Hello ladies,
For an upcoming party I have just bought myself a faux leather jacket from Zara : Jacket
I would love to hear your thoughts on the durability and lifetime of these imitation leather jackets. I don't have enough money to buy real leather, and I thought this was a more high-end replica than the ones for Β£20 at Primark... Still polyurethane though.
How would you go about caring for this jacket? Any activities to avoid? I would take precautions not to get it wet, but I still don't want it to tear/ look raggy sooner than it needs to.
Have you bought a faux leather jacket (from Zara or elsewhere) and have experiences to share?
Many thanks.
Does anyone have both and could compare the two? I just got the spanx ones and debating if I want the shine
