For those who have tried to implement enterprise content management on SharePoint, how long did it take and how much did it cost? Did you ultimately succeed?
There seems to be an ideal floating around that this can be done, thanks to the superb marketing machine at Microsoft. I'm sure it can be done, but I'm genuinely curious if it can be done in a valuable and cost-effective way. How long does it take? Days and weeks or months and years? Were you able to stay within budget? What cropped up that you didn't expect? What were some of the most complex aspects of doing it?
