A list of puns related to "Eleventh Doctor"
IIRC both David Tennant and Matt Smith were offered the chance to continue in the role of the Doctor. Both decided it was time to go. Although I think both of them leaving worked out well for 'Doctor Who' I'd still love to see what would've happened if either of them had chosen to stay for 1 more series.
So that leads me to ask which you would like to see more: The 10th Doctor in Series 5 (probably still with Amy, Rory and a bit of River) or the 11th Doctor in Series 8 continuing their adventures with Clara.
Of course changing just this one thing means we don't know how much the rest of the series and the episodes in it would change. Series 8 with the 11th Doctor might be completely different from the one we got with the 12th Doctor. Perhaps it would've been set mostly on and around Trenzalore and the time the Doctor spent protecting it.
What series 5 would look like with Tennant we know a bit more about because Moffatt has spoken about it...
>"My version of that series would be that the David Tennant Doctor would crash into the back garden about to regenerate and little Amelia would help him back to the TARDIS and heβd fly off. And the sheβd meet him again when she grew up but heβd have no memory of that because we come to realise that was the Doctor from the future β weβd make our way through the series to the point where the Doctor gets back to that (I sort of used that idea again later).

>So, that would have been the show and he thought very hard about it and he left me a message on my answerphone saying heβd thought very hard about it and, as I thought he would, he decided to move on.β
So from that I get the feeling we probably would've got a series 5 similar to what we did get but the big difference being it ends with the 10th Doctor's regeneration (which would also mean the 2009 specials would look a bit different too, I'm now realising).
This is a reboot of a series of DWR (Doctor Who Reviews) I posted from May 2019 to October 2019, also includingΒ episodes during Series 12βs air-date. While I previously rated all 166 episodes as βhow good they are at being Doctor Whoβ, I will now be rating them as βhow good they are as TVβ.
The first ten minutes of The Eleventh Hour do such a good job at reintroducing The Doctor and a new companion in a way that is almost the antithesis to what RTD would have done; we go from universe-ending stakes to a little girl worried about a seemingly mundane crack in her bedroom wall. This is The Doctor, now played by Matt Smith, who fits into the role like I do my very old socks, comforting a child and becoming her imaginary friend. This is such a unique spin on the Doctor-companion dynamic, of course based on earlier concepts by Steven Moffat β now showrunner. Thereβs a lot of similarities here between this episode and The Girl In The Fireplace but, due to the change in perspective, said concept feels different enough; the girl who waits for The Doctor. Most of the sci-fi jargon and plot-beats fall to the way-side in the opening and closing of the episode, replaced instead by lovable and memorable character moments β 11 eating a shedload of food only to spit most of it back out still holds up over a decade after the fact, and Iβd even go as far as to say he has more initial chemistry with young Amelia than he does with adult Amy.
Speaking of, the decision to make her a βkissogramβ still feels very odd, as is the way she is first introduced to us with a very leery shot of her legs. I think Moffat has gone on record saying how attractive Karen Gillanβs legs are so this scene irks me, but only slightly; thereβs very β very β fine line straddled in the first half of Series 5 as 11 and Amy get to know each other. Itβs both a dynamic represented by a fairytale character and his human accomplice but also an older man and the girl who wants to ravage him. Such dynamic is awkward at best and creepy at worst, represented in the ending scene of Flesh & Stone. Once the Smith Era continues, the 11/Amy dynamic becomes one of the best in the show, but I dare say it gets off to a rough start.
But the usual quality elements of Moffat remain; obscure quirks like using βthat door in your house you forget is thereβ as a plot-beat to introduce an interesting inter-dimensional one-off villain. Prisoner Zero is an entertaining enough antagonist though, of course, heβs
... keep reading on reddit β‘During that brilliant speech in The Rings of Akhaten, the Eleventh Doctor claims: "I've walked in universes where the laws of physics were devised by the mind of a madman."
What exactly was he referring to when he said this? Was he referring to his encounters with the Celestial Toymaker? Or his bout in Castrovalva? Or is it something else?
Please remember these are just my opinions, it's completely okay for you to disagree with me. I realise that some of these placements are unorthodox, I seem to be notorious for my contrarian views, but I will happily give details of my opinions on specific episodes providing that you approach the discussion with respect rather than belittle me for not conforming to accepted opinions.
I was just thinking about River's whole timeline and it got me thinking about whether 11 would have ever taken Amy and Rory to the Library? I think it's definitely possible but I'm not sure the Doctor would ever want to return, given everything that happens and his increasing bond with her.

Over the last few years, fans have seen the Doctor regenerate and gain a new personality. But why was the Eleventh reincarnation so iconic?
