Do you guys think the story wil show the battle of Edington, I really love the history of the Anglo-Saxons and read about them every day, and the battle of edington(happening in 878) is one of my favourite Anglo-Saxon victories.
Alfred the Great won the battle and forced the vikings under the leadership of Guthrum to surrender and leave Wessex, aswell as being baptized, this lead to Wessex gradually taking over England and forming the kingdom of England in 927.
So do any of you think that Valhalla wil showcase the Battle of Edington, or us taking part in it. And I personally think they wil, as Assassin's Creed always shows a major turning point in history in every game for example. AC 1. Battle of Arsuf. AC 3. America winning the war of independence. AC U. Napoleons grab to power. AC Or. Caesar and the romans gaining influence in Egypt. ACV. Alfred turning the tide agains the vikings after Edington.

The battle of Edington was an all-or-nothing push to reclaim Wessex from the Danes. Outnumbered and with a force consisting of mostly untrained peasants from the fyrd, Alfred's army won a decisive victory against the odds - but what if he hadn't; if the battle had been lost and Alfred himself captured or killed? What would have become of a) Wessex in the 9th century and b) England/Britain in the centuries to come?
