A list of puns related to "Edinburgh Airport"
The inside might be fine and the staff are friendly enough, but my word getting into the airport is a bloody shambles!
Off a major(ish) road, down what looks like a farm track, turn right at the unsign posted junction, then left at the badly signed one, play "Which exit is for the car park I booked?", Get no confirmation that your pre-book has been accepted, and depart hoping you don't return to a multi-hundred pound bill.
Even Prestwick, which is a bit of a hole, is better than this!
Hi folks,
I was wondering if anyone could help me. I am coming back to Scotland from Iceland next week, and I'm looking at options for a PCR Day 2/arrival test, and noticed Edinburgh Airport has a testing centre, but its pretty unclear (to me) if this option is available for international arrivals?
I am only back for 10 days or so, and now wondering if its worth going? If I do the PCR Day 2 test swab at home and how bad our post can be at times, it might be 4-5 days before I can come out of quarantine?
A bit of a baffled raffled from a baffled bawheid, but would love any advice at all. Cheers.
I'm arriving to Edinburgh airport on 18:15 and have a day 2 test booked at 19:15 in Newbridge. I'm aware that it is tight, but it was the latest available slot. Are there taxis readily available near the arrivals hall, or would you suggest we order a taxi beforehand?
Been a while since I used the drop off, but damn it used to be a quid but now it is four?
When did that happen and how on earth can they justify the 400% increase?
I'll be soon travelling through Edinburgh airport for the first time since the pandemic and I've no idea how good/bad the situation is now. I like EDI as it's not too big so normally can clear security and get to the gate in next to no time especially when I've not got anything to check-in.
What's the situation like now? Anyone know if I should allow longer for all the extra COVID and passport checks?
Got a flight to London next week & wondered what to expect at the airport - what's open? What's closed? As it's a flight within the UK I don't have to have done a Covid test but do I need to prove my vaccine status? There's very little information on the airport website, same with Easyjet's. Thanks.
I''m planning on getting on a train that runs on that line (probably getting on at Piccadilly headed north, then coming back the next day) in the next few days. I haven't been on a train other than local ones in a while, and am curious if anyone on here has recent experience of how busy they are, what sort of distancing is in place, etc.
I've heard that trains which started their journey in Scotland are likely to have more distancing than the ones going the other way, for example. Any experience that backs this up?
Edit/Update: The train I had planned to get was cancelled ('lack of staff'), as was the one following, so I had to get a later one which was headed to Barrow rather than to Scotland. It was quieter (at least in the carriage I sat in) than I'd expected, at least until Preston where a group of football fans got on.
All in, it wasn't too bad, although the cancellations did point to the fact that services may not be particularly reliable at the moment (when I asked someone at the enquiry desk about the likelihood of alternative routes, the phrase "anyone's guess" came up).
Later today I will be making the return journey, which in pre-Covid times was often subject to cancellations and delays, so I am expecting a strong chance of more disruption.
I was wondering if there was a good one somewhere, because I need it to match all the other planes in Vatsim
